"Crusade" Bout

BEFORE: Romijn moving against Theron earlier than expected...Becky blames Mandy Moore, among others, for the apparent scramble. "If Mandy and the rest had done their jobs, Theron would be a pile of rubble right now," Romijn snarls in prefight. "Mandy was supposed to punish Theron - ESPECIALLY to the body, and what did she do instead? She hunted chin from the get-go, thinking only of her own personal glory. As usual, the task of subjugating Theron falls to me - I always knew it would. I have the power to crush her for good and all, and the time to drop the hammer is now. We can still break her; we WILL break her, and now that I'm in the fight, we'll see what should have been done with Charlize from the beginning."

"If the Crusade could have done what Rebecca wanted them to do, they'd have done it," Theron dismisses at podium. "She and the other bosses grossly over-estimated what their girls could do - they were never going to wear me down with attrition. As for Becky herself, she's been nipping at my heels for years and I think it's time that I decisively separated myself from her, once and for all. A terrible beating - that's what I have in mind for her. Becky thought the Crusade would be the beginning of the end of my career, but what it's going to be is the swan-song of her own!"

During R1: Girls circle counter-clockwise a full minute before engaging: jabs to Becky's midsection from long-limbed Charlize. Becky counter-jabbing left hand to pate; both women leaning into slinging right crosses...as each steps in and gets off, stakes rise as bigger swinging/bigger gambling come into play. Haymakers give way to digging bodyshots as blondes fall-in late - girls scrubbing hairlines while lapping punches to opposing breadbaskets/ribcages. Becky with the best of it down the stretch - stepping Charlize back with a steady diet of body-chop; using the nudging left elbow to push-reset on Theron. Nice relaxed, lapping strokes from Romijn in these moments - she's lashing Theron to tummy and ribs, beating the breath from Charlize at bell.

R2: Charlize roaming to her right in wide stance - stooping to reach her jab to Becky's tummy, establishing range. Romijn slugging her way into hot-tossing exchanges - Theron flurrying savagely as Becky tries to body up, forcing Romijn back...then it's Charlize steppin' counterclockwise around her poke, touching Becky's torso, measuring her. Down the stretch it's CT getting the better of the body-slop as long-armed girls lean in pate-to-pate. Theron's arms galloping the punches to Romijn's breadbasket...Becky all grimacing and open-mouthed, stubbornly giving ground. Bell: Romijn whining to ref about CT's rough pixie-cut billy-goat action inside...but both girls were scrubbin' pate in there.

R3: Charlize circling clockwise now - back (right) heel up off canvas as she boxes crisp from forward-aspect. Busy left jabs chopping out from the shoulder; straight right hands hunting face...Becky on her back foot, hands up/palms out, blocking shots. Measured, disciplined stuff from Charlize as she works the clockwise circuit from wide-stance - banging away up top, then dipping left shoulder/fitting left uppercut short to sternum on Becky. Romijn outclassed midring, picked apart for two minutes, but down the stretch, angry, swinging, wide right hands bash Theron onto the defensive - Charlize covering up in time to block, but unable to post the shutout as a result.

R4: Becky flustered - weight on back foot, hands up as Theron continues to dictate outside. Charlize methodical - fighting in that forward-aspect with weight on front (left) leg; left jabs in unpredictable rhythms bracing the defenses; swift right crosses pounding back Becky's face in spots. Best of all for Charlize - that digging left uppercut to sternum as Becky's covering up - Theron getting it off the one-two, dipping in close with left shoulder and really jamming that shot home. Becky sniveling, wobbly-butt late...she's hurt to the body, unable to get off...by round's end, Theron's pitching in a straight right to midsection as well, really wicking away Becky's strength by the bell.

R5: Becky long and strong with the jab, then pouring in heavy right hands...Theron's pixie-cut head bashing back as Romijn drives forward. Becky eventually slugging CT to ropes - middle minute sees Romijn get big, pounding away on either Theron bicep with a circular, thumbside-up delivery. Charlize laying on ropes, hands at temples, suffering a buffetting...down the stretch, she's chipping back a quick right uppercut, then tying up for ref's breaks, just trying to slow Becky's romp. Romijn whining about the "holding" - griping with the ref even while clinching and mauling Charlize.

R6: Romijn really railing the long, heavy one-twos through Theron's guard...Charlize' head rocking back, knees buckling as Becky stampedes CT to ropes. Charlize forming tight earmuff fronts...Becky cupping her hands around CT's wrists first, then whacking hips/waist via sidearm chops - one hand getting in behind a Theron elbow while the other hand pushes on shoulder or guard. Uppercuts from Becky - she's scraping away on CT's guard in close, shaking Theron up even when she's blocking...Becky's weight of shot starting to take a toll. Becky putting a body on Theron, compressing her to ropes, reaching arms in under Charlize's to pry defences apart - then it's pate-to-pate barbarity as Romijn hammer-fists the breasts, clobbers the chin, pounds forearms to ribs in tight. THERON'S LOOSENING UP! CT visibly sagging and ragdoll - embracing Becky around shoulders, but unable to wrap her up tight...Becky shoving Theron into ropes, bullying her, punishing arms/body, then wrestling apart the guard to work breasts/head. Constant pressure of Becky upon Charlize - lots of tummy, lots of full-bodied clinches designed to compact Theron into ropes, make her take weight. Charlize mouthbreathing, pixie-cut head lolling...she's taking the kind of beating that Crusader-planners had scripted out for every round of every fight. Theron staggering to corner after bell, eyes slow-blinking, lips parted...she gets ice and vigorous thigh/bicep rubdowns during break.

R7: Theron hurt, visibly shabby off her stool, she looks to close-and-cuddle with Becky midring, hoping to buy recovery-time. Beck won't have it - bouncing a vicious right hand off Theron's flat tummy - bunching the goddess up "UH-H!" as girls crowd-close. Becky's right uppercut picks up Theron's chin...CHARLIZE GOES WOBBLY BUTT! Charlize all how-could-you eyes as she staggers away forlorn...Becky chasing her to ropes all rippling thighs, flashing eyes, shuddering backside. Charlize: hurt; butt-in-ropes; arms crossed right atop left at chest; eyes vacant; mouth open. Becky moves in off CT's left shoulder, finding her overhanging face with right uppercut...Theron's eyes rolling back into her head as lashes flutter, buttocks skidding along ropes to CT's right. Swinging left hook spanks flush off Theron's face; extra right uppercut picks up that chin again...pixie-cut head on a bobble, just getting batted around as Theron wilts against ropes. Hungry-hungry Becky resets with both hands pushing on CT's crossed arms, then it's another right uppercut picking up face; extra left hook claiming chin, punching the mouthpiece off CT's teeth. POOR THERON! Charlize helpless, stooped forward, taking a rival blonde's thunder...Becky just squaring away, pushing to set, then getting off with back, buns and legs in behind every wallop and THE REF STEPS IN! Theron blubbering in groggy protest as ref cradles her to safety - TKO7 Becky Romijn as the Crusade finally hands Theron a psychologically devastating defeat!

AFter: Becky all beaming and full of herself...opportunistic match-timing catches Theron at low ebb as once again, Romijn proves a CT nemesis. "That was the beating we needed," Becky breezes in postfight. "We needed me to step up and really get it done in a big way, and look at Charlize: she's just devastated! I'm better than her - always have been. Where the Crusade failed, I came through: this was Becky Romijn stepping-to Charlize Theron and giving her yet another ass-kicking for the ages! It's mop-up from now on guys - MOP UP! We've beaten her!"
