Before: Hart not your typical stepping stone with Maxim money backing her and Britney Spears in her corner, but Williams a solid favourite in what should be a high contact affair. A little in-ring intimidation before the instructions as the girls go chest to chest, but officials maintain control. Williams in red sports bra, white Adidas terrycloth trunks, MJH in white sports bra, light blue Adidas trunks.

R1: Walker/Neary look as the girls bump forehead, leaning in towards one another and letting hands find bellies and clout ears in close. Williams getting off first and last, backing Hart up and by the final minute she has MJH cringing from a scraping hook across the belly. Shutout Michelle Williams.

R2: Girls go right back into the phone booth, harming one another to the body, but Hart answers Michelle's early hooks with short right hands to the chin to retake the initiative. Round ends with Williams covering up rope side, blocking head shots, but giving up the body as Melissa gets off with both guns.

R3: More two way action as the girls fight mid ring, stepping around one another and taking their turns twisting into biting hooks across the waistline, or dropping short right hands across the ear. Late in a close round, Michelle separates herself with the uppercut, just touching Melissa on the teeth with the right hand, but it's enough to get Hart to stop punching.

R4: Hart getting the idea, uses the short right uppercut to jam in between William's high guard, taking the round away from Michelle's earnest hooks to the body. Neither girl getting wild, both staying compact with their punches, fighting out of tight stances, hands welded to brows. It's even through 4. ,.

R5,6: Finally some distance as Williams begins to put it to Hart, working lefts and rights into the blonde's available sides, then coming up the middle with the right uppercut as Hart's Defense begins to unravel. Melissa getting knocked back, head starting to move as her guard drops - Williams staying focused, steps forward, using the bodywork to set up the head. Good methodical work being done as Williams pressures Hart all around the ring.

R7: Michelle in control now, has her girl on her heels, still leaning in cheek to cheek, but Melissa just looking to stay close so Michelle can't extend. Its action the way Williams likes it: just working, opponent laying in - Williams could fight with her eyes closed and still find Hart's belly.

R8: Girls fall in, throwing simultaneous hooks and MICHELLE GOES WOBBLY BUTT! Hart's left looks innocent, but Williams is stunned, lock-legged in front of Hart, and Melissa jumps on her suddenly hurt foe. With Michelle stumbling forward, Hart retreats at the ropes, nailing Williams with hooks on the jaw as the blonde reels. Melissa steps away, letting Michelle plow face first into the turnbuckle, and Michelle spills to the canvas. And Williams can't get up! KO8 Melissa Joan Hart who seems as stunned as the audience at the sight of a writhing Michelle Williams.

After: What happened? Everything was going Williams way - Michelle was starting to exert her will, fight her fight when she gets caught a hook on the ear and can't recover. Dramatic, basically one punch KO for Hart gives her a boost as she talks it up in post fight, claiming she saw the opening for the punch in the first round, and was just luring Michelle in for the coup de grace.
