Before: Former sparring partner and tag team partner of Helen Hunt, best known for upsetting Carmen Electra in a bearhug match some years ago—Bedelia known as a hard driving inside fighter, getting the most out of her stocky curves when she can set up on a girl’s chest. Delany with more 10 round experience, but Bedelia’s been around fought in most of the big training camps and is generally well respected. Double D in pink bra and panties, Bonnie b in silver.grey bra and panties, lace trim.

R1: Delany makes what appears to be a tactical error by retreating immediately to the ropes, inviting Bonnie in—but it turns into a counter punching clinic by the nifty redhead. Delany with her hands at her chest, gives Bonnie an exposed head to shoot at, but calmly weaves side to side and back into the ropes to make BB miss. The counter shots comes back crisp and short, one at a time. Delany will roll back into the ropes to take a punch on her shoulder, then lift a right mitt a few inches into Bedelia’s right breast. A dip to the right—DD puts her shoulder into Bonnie’s chest and comes up with the little curling uppercut into the belly. A dip to the left, back up with the left uppercut into Bedelia’s chest. Minute after minute—Bedelia working hard for no reward, getting nibbled and broken down by the patient, clever hands of Dana. At the bell—Bedelia looks a little pasty--job well done by Delany.

R2: Bonnie gets instructions to ignore the head—and it’s good advice. Delany setting up on the ropes again, turning her left shoulder towards Bedelia and leaning away from the brunette—Bonnie B goes to work downstairs with singled minded determination. Right hand round punches to Dana’s kidneys have her squaring up rather than giving away that left side—BB sets up on DD’s chest, pushing back the redhead’s hips and firing away with both fists. Delany covered up, rolling with punches, but leather’s finding meat this round with some effectiveness. Down the stretch, Dana starts to move her hands, rocking back to fit the little right uppercut onto Bonnie’s chin before Bedelia can bury her face in Delany’s chest again. And BONNIE’S DOWN! Double D sets her up with a little right under the chin, then turns her shoulder into a clapping left hook on the jaw to drop Bedelia on one knee—DD stepping clear of the ropes as Bonnie lolls forward into them. BB up at 8-0-but nobody’s home. Ref waves off to Bonnie’s groggy protests—TKO2 Dana Delany.

After: Tough test turns into unexpected romp for Delany as she exposed Bedelia’s no-nonsense style, reclassifying it as predictable. “She never varied her tempo,” explains a glowing Delany in post fight, “I could feel the punches coming and take precautions, And she has NBO respect for my power—I was just picking her apart—I really think she was much more hurt in the first than she let on.” Good result for Delany, stopping a durable, if limited foe with professional technique.
