Maxim Lightweight Title

Before: Tia following the Charisma Carpenter recipe for destruction to the letter: fighting too often, not recovering sufficiently, and facing top opposition, gets right back in with big banger Landry. Tia's pride the stumbling block, answering every challenge despite management's objections - Nobody to blame if this ends badly. Carrere in black sports bra, red Adidas terrycloth trunks, Landry in black push up, gold lamme bikini bottoms, hair in loose brown curls.

During R1: Tia working patiently, hands low, steps in and out to plug Ali with single right hands to the gut - then taking a walk as Landry pivots. Ali letting Tia get off and get out, gets the jab working late to solve the potshotting problem in a tactical first.

R2: Ali taking the initiative, pre-empting Tia with a jab that lands like a power punch and circling - Carrere unable to reach the stomach till late. Tia still working with single hacks to the midriff, clearly doesn't want to stay in too long early in the fight with Ali on fresh legs.

R3: Ali continuing to lead, jabbing Tia to keep her outside and stepping into a solid right cross to the chest that has Carrere backing away with a grimace. Landry stepping forward now, taking the fight to Carrere, Tia occasionally stepping with a curling right to the tummy, then bailing to avoid extended exchanges.

R4: Tia walking around more than we've seen her, circling her foe, then stepping in with the right, stepping out to maintain the angle, keep Landry moving her feet. Busier round for Tia -Landry bunching up to accept the gut shots and not answering back as Carrere gets in and out at will.

R5: When Landry jabs, gets off first, it's hard for Tia to execute. Ali keeping her left hand on Tia, and driving in off that back foot to spear Carrere to the solar plexus with heavy right hands. Tia in reverse, looking pained, trying to time Landry's lunging body shots with a short right hand on the chin, but doesn't make contact. Both girls get a lecture on putting punches together from their respective corners.

R6: Ali finally hurts Tia, landing a beautiful double left jab/straight right hand up the middle to bang back Tia's head and leave her momentarily stunned. Landry stepping with Carrere, chases her to the ropes and has a good minute, getting off with heavy lefts and rights to the hips, using
her shoulder to push off with as Tia covers up. Midway through the round, Carrere fighting well off the ropes, starts to roll with Ali's somewhat predictable shots, and come back with hard, short lefts and rights to the gut - suddenly Landry's looking to clinch and Tia wrestles the big brunette to the ropes, reversing their positions. Now its Tia time as the crowd gets to its feet - Carrere DIGGING that murderous curling right hand to the body, then trying to catch Landry on the jaw with a short left hook. All Carrere to the final bell as she piles on - 2 beat punching, but Landry is helpless to counter as Tia pounds her body, arms and chin without restraint.

R7: Tia able to continue the momentum - she has AH folding up and laying in from those insistent rights hands to the gut. Carrere able to reach around Ali with the left, holding the big girl around the waist to anchor her for the clubbing right hands to the belly and chest. Landry getting walked around, beat up as Carrere is the boss this round. Tia with a cocky slap on Landry's butt sends Miss America dazed back to her comer.

R8: Tia starting strong, squaring up and rotating her shoulders to chum Landry's stomach with rising lefts and rights. Midway through the round however, Ali stepping back begins to find Tia with a short, Maskaev right hand, walking Tia into the punch and Carrere's legs give out as she falters face first to the ropes. Landry sidestepping and trapping her girl bent over and vulnerable, clubs right hands to the back of Tia's head until the ref steps in. Carrere shaky, staggering, is bullied to the corner as Landry rips away with short, powerful strokes, busting open that left eye as Tia wilts at the bell.

R9: All Ali Landry as she HAMMERS Tia from pillar to post this round. This is just one woman beating another ragged - Landry bodying up, shoving Tia onto her heels, then crashing that right hand upside Carrere's head to send her reeling. Landry hurting Tia with seemingly every punch, doubling Carrere over with lefts and rights to the trunk line, palming up on Tia's shoulders, swiveling Carrere's head with crunching hooks and short right hands on the chin. Total collapse from Carrere - blood flowing like wine - she is wide eyed and out on her feet after a bell to bell shellacking robs her of her senses this round.

R10: Tia showing heart of quivering legs, stands square and churns her arms enough to discourage Ali from standing in close. Landry content to circle, pecking away at Tia's hittable eye with the stumping jab and keeping easily away from Tia who hasn't got the legs to close. Carrere dropping the unanimous decision, looks tired and shopworn as another girl celebrates in victory.

After: Tia in real danger, dropping her third of the last 4 fights she's had. The eye won't heal with Carrere fighting every 4 weeks, and Ali winning big down the stretch suggests Carrere's legs are starting to give. Landry celebrating crassly in the ring, calls for Tia's retirement as a badly discouraged Carrere is escorted to her locker room.
