Before: Outdoor fight at the converted tennis courts of LAs playboy mansion - Playboy getting into the TV game, looking to host not quite ready for PPV fights - Jackson fitting the bill perfectly. Janet not as mobile as in her heyday, looked a little rusty against Ross - Eggert a more likely dance partner, without the power to really hurt Janet for making mistakes. Black push up red stretch velvet shorts for Janet, black stretch velvet 2 piece for Nicole.

R1: Eggert obviously a little excited to get in with a name, takes the fight wildly to the brunette. Jackson just taking a look, goes to the ropes, elbows in, gloves at her face, just turning her shoulders to deflect Eggert's eager swings, bending at the waist to nudge Nicole back with a shoulder - but not punching much in return. Nicole firing wide lefts and rights, pushing in a straight right hand, but hitting mostly shoulders and elbows as Janet defends calmly, bending low then bouncing back into the ropes with casual disdain for Nicole's ferocity.

R2: Janet luring Nicole to the ropes again, and Jackson shows her clever counter punching skills, rolling and blocking, then coming back at Eggert's gut or chin with short chopping blows, nothing dramatic, but nibbling Nicole to death with clean slicing blows in between Nicole's wider blows. Eggert often falling in to Janet - she's not doing herself any favours with Jackson willing to clinch - Nicole needs to take a step back and try to hurt Jackson with leverage.

R3: Janet going right back to her seat on the ropes, Eggert obliging, walking in and trying to beat Jackson down with wild slugging action. Janet effortless on D, clinching when Eggert falls in, slipping, using the ropes, nudging Nicole with shoulder butts to the belly and clipping away at the blonde with nice tight punches from the guard. Nicole frustrated, turns her torso into whacking lefts and rights to the body, but she's getting chewed up by Janet's quicker, much more accurate fists. Eggert goes to her corner swelling under the right eye and having taken a lot of belly whacks as Janet takes 3 steps over to her stool, still fresh, still conserving energy.

R4. Similar action - Eggert wanting to be the aggressor, pushing a lot of leather at Janet, but not accomplishing much. Jackson taking advantage of the holes, chops her right onto Eggert's teeth, and stands up into a sticking left to the trunk line that has Eggert grunting in discomfort. A brisk exchange of lefts and rights sees Janet beat Nicole to every punch and the blonde's legs give out, pitching her forward to the ropes as Janet neatly slips low, pivots to allow Nicole past. A groggy Eggert turns around with her hands down and gets caught a big right hand on the chin as Janet bends into the punch. Nicole driven back, bounces sleepily off the ropes and goes to all fours. She can't beat the count and the ref waves this one off- KO4 Janet J.

After: Good effort from Janet, showing the upper body movement, clean punching and finishing ability she was known for, but clearly evolving to a headier, more stationary style. Jackson wants Electra after a couple more tune ups - pundits wonder whether this style will get the job done against the most mobile fighter in the division.
