Bridges/Carpenter II

Before: Hard feelings between these two - Carpenter taking the disaffected "what's HER problem?" approach - Bridges much more straightforward in her dislike of boxing's up and down brunette. Angelica the boxer/puncher blames herself for the draw last time out, Carpenter who could box, but spends most of her time paradoxically inside characterizes the red head as all talk. Fought outdoors at the playboy mansion, Bridges in green bikini top, yellow midthing cotton stretch pants, yellow shoes and gloves, Carpenter in black sports bra, red aerobics briefs, black shoes and gloves.

During R1: Bridges wants to work outside, laying down the jab early, but Carpenter with a bull rush, shoulders her opponent to the ropes and bangs away with a surprisingly hostile 2 fisted attack to sit Angie up on the middle strand. Round ends with Charisma pushing her shoulder into Bridges' chest, keeping her weight on the redhead, and slugging with an occasional left into the belly that leaves Angelica a little drowsy at the bell.

R2: Bridges once again unable to keep Carpenter off her, forced to put her head on Carpenter's shoulder and slug it out. Girls lift curling lefts and rights up into one another's slender bodies, pushing with shoulders and forearms, then stepping right back in close. Down the stretch, Bridges steps back, walks Charisma into a beautiful short right uppercut and puts the hook on top to send the brunette staggering sideways with wide, glassy eyes. All Bridges to the bell as she jumps in with a smacking right hand to the solar plexus, left hook to the ear as Carpenter swoons to the ropes.

R3: Angelica has her girl hurt and now executes her game plan, steering Carpenter with a very educated jab and targeting Charisma's jugs, chin for hard single straight rights. Bridges working with a confident expression, chips away as Charisma wanders in retreat, trying to get her legs back together and offering no offense in return.

R4: Carpenter showing resilience of old, comes out and bulls Bridges back to her corner, fighting off the red head's chest and giving Angie a good dose of shove and slug for most of the round. This isn't the old whipping, slapping body attack - Carpenter pushing Bridges against the turnbuckle, pumps her arms, elbows drawing back as she pitches, landing 6 and 7 punch bursts to Bridges' waist. Angelica just sagging in the corner, punched into an open mouthed stupor, hands draped uselessly around Charisma's shoulders as the brunette pounds away inside.

R5: Angelica makes an effort to get off first, clipping Charisma with the uppercut whenever the brunette darts inside, then picking at Carpenter outside with jabs and licking right hands. Midway through the round, Bridges has found the range with her left, bouncing her jab off Carpenter's teeth and she drops the slinging right in perfectly to sit CC down mid ring. Carpenter up at 8, but the legs aren't there and she fades to the ropes, bending at the waist and giving her sides and back to Angelica who sweeps away with wide lefts and rights to the bell. Carpenter arching her back looks pained, groping at the kidney area and whining to the ref as Bridges struts happily to her corner.

R6: Carpenter with some artful clinches takes the play away, tying the red head up around the triceps and walking her off balance, then working in tight with the left while trapping Anjelica's left for some holding and hitting. Carpenter getting nice digging licks in, stuffing the short left hand into Angelica�s stomach, swiping it across her breasts, and Bridges looks a little dazed. Hitting on the break, Carpenter leans into a nice overhand right that catches Bridges completely unprepared, and Angelica flops to the canvas to even out the knockdowns. Bridges is stunned, eyelashes fluttering, and Charisma bulls her to the ropes for good pressure to the bell - shoulder in Anjelica's chest, arms pumping back and forth as Bridges soaks it up.

R7: Girls touch one another's jaw with extended left hands before falling in with rights as slugging mentality takes over. Bridges turning her torso into the shots gets the better of the free swinging action, lashing at Carpenter's midriff with a raking left hand, then slinging in the right to turn Carpenter's head. Midway through the round, a hard right cross sends Charisma swooning to the ropes, and Bridges walks in ala Larry Holmes, palming up on Carpenter's neck with the left, and bending into crushing right hands on the face as Charisma's arms try to block weakly. Gut check time for Charisma as she is beaten ragged by the bell, trembling legs barely holding her up as Bridges' pumps her fists at the crowd.

R8: Gritty Charisma round as she fades to the ropes, then ties Angelica up as the red head gets over anxious to finish. Carpenter able to turn Bridges' back to the ropes, and get underneath her girl, putting her head on Angelica�s chest and digging into the belly with both hands. Bridges once again seems paralyzed as Charisma works her over, hands dropping to her stomach, face going blank as she sits on the ropes and lets Carpenter get off.

R9: Hammer and tongs as both battlers look weary, hands low, standing midring and simply looking to hurt the opponent. Bridges a little more mobile, able to make Carpenter miss with a half step back, catch Carpenter with an extra right hand coming in, but this is close, give and take action. Round ends with Bridges backing Carpenter up behind a pushing series of lefts and rights, Charisma punching back but getting beaten about the face at the bell.

R10: Shutout Carpenter as she wins a crucial battle of lanky hooks midring, beating Bridges to the punch half a dozen times before the red head's legs give out. Angelica stumbling backwards to the ropes looks in desperate trouble, and once again Carpenter bodies up, pushing Red into the ropes, then putting her head down and pumping with her fists until Angelica clinches. Bridges beaten to a pulp, eyes vacant, mouth open as Carpenter repeatedly walks in after being pushed away by the ref, pounding her fists against Angelica�s hips and tummy to the bell. Carpenter not responding to the bell is pulled off a limp and dazed Bridges, but both girls are drained at the conclusion of the fight. Result is an unprecedented draw - the second in a row between these two.

After: Both girls beaten to the point of quitting but in the end, after 20 rounds of fighting nothing is decided. Carpenter perhaps wins more minutes, but Angie's landed the harder, cleaner blows in both fights - it's a genuine toss up. Neither girl can stand being thought of as 'only1 as good as the other - third fight scheduled after the necessary recovery period.
