Before: (Angel the computer hologram in Weird Science TV show, Wuhrer the sexy chick on Sliders). Vanessa a past-her-prime Bobbie Phillips wannabe, came up with Bobbi as part of the righting cast from The Bikini Murders but just never got over the hump. Wuhrer a source of constant bafflement to pundits, would seem to have the tools as well as the backing to make noise, but has never even been near a title. Both girls can box - Wuhrer with the power advantage in this bantam weight contest. Angel in purple string bikini, ponytail - Wuhrer in black push up and panties, ponytail.

R1: Kari wants to lead, pumping a stiff double jab and seeking right hands behind it, but Angel’s awkwardness poses problems. Vanessa with a knack of disguising punches, leans left like she's loading up a hook and paws a right instead, bends punches around herself to slap against Wuhrer's body, then dips low to pivot around, often leaving Kari looking confused in the aftermath. Wuhrer unhurt, but she's getting bamboozled as she drops the first.

R2: More weird science from Vanessa as she paints Kari up and down with slapping wide blows from any angle. Wuhrer able to touch Vanessa with the jab, but can't get off with power as Angel’s awkward punching pre-empts her. Angel as effective going backward as forward since she's arm punching anyway - Kari just can't pull the trigger.

R3: Wuhrer hears it in her corner - trainer wants her to stop playing 'pattycake' and take Vanessa out. Wuhrer out grim faced, walks through the slaps, shooting out straight lefts and rights ala Barrera to back Vanessa to the ropes. Kari in an open stance, shoots double right hands straight from the shoulder to move Vanessa into a clipping left hook and Angel goes limp. Vanessa sagging to the ropes is caught another left hook then a crashing right along her jaw, and she droops, eyes wide and glazed, hands down. Wuhrer pours it on, socking that beautiful face back and forth until the ref jumps in. Wuhrer hooting in triumph as a stunned Angel is helped to her stool. TKO3 Kari Wuhrer.

After: Kari shines again against low rent comp. Angel’s Jedi mind tricks worked early, but lacks the ruggedness to withstand trouble. Good outing for Kari, but can she build on it? Time will tell.
