Before:  Megs serious about her boxing for the first time in a long time, but insiders want to see the goods this time. Stowe unremarkable, but solid technician should provide a decent test in latest Ryan re-start. Stowe in red crochet bikini, Meg in black bikini, hair in shoulder length curls ala “Presidio”.

During R1: Meg with an exaggerated stance, hands up, palms out, flicking a jab and trying to pick off or catch Stowe’s incoming. Madeleine the straighter puncher, orthodox approach just tying to touch the blonde with jabs, put the right hand on top. Round to Stowe in a tactical first.

R2: Meg still looking to parry and step in close, gets off with slapping wide lefts and rights to the brunette’s body. Meg doing a slot of arm punching, but every once in awhile lands with leverage, and Stowe breaking down under the volume. Maddy hurt midway through when she gets caught a right hand on the jaw she doesn’t see, and hurt badly late in the fight has Ryan slaps to the body then spins a tight left hook to jerk brunette sideways. Stowe looking a little shellshocked at the bell as she gets shutout by a very busy Ryan in the second.

R3: Girls rotate midring, trading combinations as each one takes a turn—Ryan lashing wide, Stowe staying in the pocket and working straight up the middle. Stowe investing in Ryan’s bony rib cage with straight right hands, and late in the fight. Meg looks woozy. Stowe backing her up, jabbing to the forehead, spearing right hands to the belly, has Ryan hanging on at the bell.

R4: Meg out strong, then taking half a step back, walks Stowe into a nice lanky left hook that Maddy takes on the chin, Stowe going wobbly butt, and Ryan steps inside, letting her hands buffet the brunette about the hips, then working her way up Stowe’s torso to bash left/rights to the head. Ryan slapping and hitting with wrists and forearms, but Madeleine collapsing, spends the last half of the round covering up and taking along the ropes.

R5: Stowe stepping in and out, making angles, and pitching hard right hands to Meg’s midriff as Ryan keeps the guard high. Ryan swatting and slinging punches makes for a close round, but Stowe’s hit and run to the body carries the points.

R6: Madeleine starting to eat Ryan’s lunch, ducking in, bouncing a hard right hand off the stomach, then sliding back out to take a walk to the right, Meg starting to grimace, visibly slowing as the round goes in, and Maddy salts away the points with another hard right hand to the body setting up a popping left hook on the jaw that has Ryan stepping in fence post holes., Ryan looking confused, apparently hadn’t worked on cutting off the ring in camp.

R7: Shutout Stowe as she circles, stabbing the left high to occupy Meg’s guard, dropping down to hammer that right hand off Ryan’s abs, then walking away as the blonde soaks it up, Pitch and catch--owe not getting pressured, working steadily and not taking any chances.

R8: Stowe hurting Meg to the stomach, buckles the blondes legs wither spearing right hand, but stays patient—getting out and walking around rather than pressing. Methodical in and out attack—Stowe just taking her girl apart punch by punch—Ryan looking drained, pouting at this point.

R9: Meg landing more this round—but it’s all flashy, slapping lefts and rights that aren’t doing as much damage as they should. Stowe still controlling the tenor of the match with her legs, fighting when she wants, taking a look when she wants as Meg has to take what she’s given.

R10: Stowe slashing in behind the high jab, puts that right hand into Meg’s body with authority, stepping out and to the right, then coming in again, and the accumulation proves too much. Meg takes a spanking right off her stomach and her legs give way—blonde rolls to her back and takes 8 as Stowe nods from a neutral corner. Bitterly contested war along the ropes as Stowe finally move in to trade—Ryan slugging with her back to the apron and the crowd on its feet as both girls take hard leather to the bell. Ryan with an ugly thumb has Stowe enraged after the bell—fighting continues until ref can separate the girls. Goes UD10 Stowe, but Ryan with plenty of fight left in her looks ready to go.

After: Stowe stowing a little polish, better judgment than the blonde, but a more combative Ryan than we’ve seen in the past makes a fight out of it. Meg’s fit, tall, and with the roper attitude could conceivably challenge certain girls down the road.
