Before: Biggest fight for Ryan since Dunning and a win puts her in boxing's elite. Lopez hot and cold, but when she's on is one of boxing's best and a murderous body puncher. Retro bikini for Jennifer, yellow and green floral print, hair back - Jeri in electric blue bandeau bikini.

During R1: Good start for Lopez, she moves her head well and Jeri lets her inside. Tanning work to the rib cage - Lopez dipping side to side and shellacking Jeri's torso - has the taller blonde on the ropes and taking in a workmanlike first.

R2: Jeri adjusts to corner instructions and gets off first this round, stinging Jen with a picture perfect right cross off the jab which takes Lopez' legs out of the round. All Jeri behind that jackhammer jab, circling her prey, knocking Jen's head back and laying on with the right whenever Lopez looks groggy. Shutout Jeri.

R3. Lopez with a strong surge inside to start, but Ryan expertly grapples her way out, spins Lopez mid ring and continues boxing outside. Oh that jab! Jeri J^AMMERS away with machine like precision on Jennifer's face, stepping back as Lopez wades in and constantly picking the Latina up. Late in the round a series of jabs has Jennifer sluggish and Jeri steps in to light Lopez up with a hook, right uppercut combination that has Lopez on her heels at the bell.

R4: It's almost too easy - Ryan bouncing her left hand off Lopez face at will - Jen's eyes and cheeks swollen badly after four. Ryan circling, stepping in with the jab - Lopez seems stunned, and the left hands are landing like power punches.

R5: Lopez back on the inside as Jeri takes a breather. Lopez with her weight forward is a different fighter - controlling Jeri with her head, reefing at the blonde's flanks with both hands. Good sustained pressure from Lopez, using her lead shoulder to nudge Ryan back and keep her lined up for the punishment.


R6: Jeri laying in with Lopez - Jen growing in confidence, getting underneath Jeri and walking her around the ring. Midway through the round, Ryan takes a half step back, walks Jen onto vicious short left uppercut which has the blondified Latina wobbly butt for over a minute. Lost opportunity for Ryan as she inexplicably bodies up, content to push and strain against Lopez for the rest of the round.

R7, 8: Discouraging rounds for Lopez as Jeri stays behind that jab, constantly pivoting around it, playing a tune on Jen's face and closing her left eye. Its the best boxing of Ryan's career -patient, effective - she breaks Lopez down completely in these rounds and has Jen deeply discouraged, unable to execute.

R9: Jeri Ryan comes out to finish her prey and the result is the worst beating of Jennifer Lopez' career. It starts off a vicious three punch combination: right uppercut, left hook, right cross that spills Lopez helplessly to the ropes and Ryan steps with her, driving in right hands off that back foot. Lopez sucking it up, seated on the ropes, but barely able to defend, sways lazily forward and back as Ryan gets off with whistling power shots from either hand. Lopez with her right at her cheek, left across her stomach is methodically battered as Jeri stands on wide spread legs, working off the jab and sticking in right hands as Jen breaks down. In the middle minute, Lopez drifts out on her feet and Ryan begins heartless connections - blasting right uppercuts, cracking left hooks - Lopez head spinning as her body sits stiffly on the ropes and the ref jumps in - saving an unconscious Jennifer Lopez from serious injury.

After: It doesn't get much better than this - Jeri Ryan hammers the most credible opponent of her career, using the jab to break Jen down and finishing with irresistible power. Theron at ringside very impressed - tells her people "Get me Jeri. I don't care what it costs".
