Before: Good test for Ledford—insiders interested in how this turns out as Davis does a lot of things well, could test the new blonde on the block. Media getting under Ledford’s skin a little, playing up the whole “Sex in the City”: (smart) vs “Baywatch”  (dumb) angle—Brandy doesn’t like it, but the guys got to sell newspapers. Brandy in orange bikini, Davis in red adidas terrycloth trunks, black sports bra—looks to shake hands after the instructions, but Ledford turns her back on the brunette.

During R1: Brandy out quickly, establishing nice tight form, out-slugging Davis shoulder to shoulder as the girls rotate center ring. Davis starts to grimace as Brandy gets to her, and midway through the round, the blonde begins flashing Mosley-like to the body. A left swat on the ear, digging left hook to the liver temporarily numbs Davis at the ropes and she takes knee, breathing hard. Final minute sees Davis come out looking to win Brandy’s respect, Ledford stepping back and slipping Davis’ wild lefts and rights to center ring, then timing a gorgeous right hand off Kris’ jaw as Davis loads up her own right. Kristin knocked out on her feet, head snaps wildly, follows through limp with her right hand and gently corkscrews to the mat as Ledford steps away with a cruel smile. KO1 Brandy Ledford.

After: Mission accomplished--Ledford starches well-regarded Davis, leaving the girl on her back, left leg twitching dangerously as her body jolts with the KO throes. Brandy looked sensational, her punches short and sharp, her timing exquisite—it’s an eye opener.
