Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) versus Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black)

Before: Clarke and Maslany becoming well known to genre fans for their performances in Game of Thrones (HBO) and Orphan Black (BBC America) respectively and look to be just as well known to celebrity boxing fans here as well as they open up this card with a crowd-pleasing match-up between the two. Both girls very enthusiastic coming into the contest, but neither displaying any significant animosity right away as they are competing against one another for the first time.

“Don't get me wrong, Tatiana is amazing on Orphan Black and deserves every award she gets..” Emilia offers graciously, “But she also deserves a beating! If she thinks she is going to come in here and win her debut over me, she has earned herself a welcome to boxing beatdown, because she needs to learn from the start who is in charge. If you play with the Daughter of Dragons, you're going to get burned.” Maslany displaying that dazzling smile as she retorts, “Guess I'll bring my aloe vera then, because I'm going to definitely going to go for a win here to start off my boxing career over Emilia here. I love her on Game of Thrones, but I can't let her try to intimidate me because I'm winning awards and now I'm going to win some matches.”

R1: Both fighters wade in eager, pouncing and punching at one another with crowd-pleasing hup-hup right from the start. Clarke dictating terms early, backing Maslany up as she shows off her power, digging into her opponent with hard right hooks to ribcage and stuffing in shots to Tatiana's tummy. But, Maslany firming up as she displays good footwork, avoiding some of Emilia's errant punches as she responds with some hard-hitting rights and lefts to Clarke's brunette bod, causing her to backpedal now. Tatiana pressing forward, catching Clarke with a clouting right hook to smash across her cheek to daze her and cause her to go earmuff. Maslany making the most of the opportunity, pouncing on Emilia to batter across her belly, sending stiff right hooks to body and left uppercuts towards her cleavage. Tatiana looking to score an early upset as she bodies Emilia back against the ropes, but Clarke shows both heart and great countering off of the ropes to deny her that opportunity. Judges score the first round to Tatiana as she bounces back to her corner, having won the first round of her career.

R2: Clarke appears determined to ensure that Tatiana won't win another, coming out strong in the second to floor Emilia early on with a right hook that clips across her cheek, unhinging her legs as she scores an early knockdown. Tatiana displaying some heart of her own as she manages to rise up off of the canvas, dazed as energetic Emilia looks to clean up. Emilia is relentless in bodying Maslany back towards the ropes as she fires out roundhooks hooks to her head and shoveling in lefts towards her torso, trying to keep her off balance. Tatiana competing well off of the ropes, clearly hurt, but coming back strong down the stretch as she suffers under the attack from Emilia. Maslany's mitts crashing into Emilia's ribs and rack, trying to bully her way off of the ropes but can't get back into it quite yet after the knockdown as judges score the round for Emilia 10-8.

R3: Both girls aware of how close things have been so far, appearing eager to separate as they come out swinging and shoving at one another. Girls swapping punches in a phone booth, trying to crowd one another towards the ropes and whacking at one another's torso with determination. Emilia enthusiastic in attacking Tatiana's abs, leather crashing into her tummy and slamming in shots to her breadbasket. However, Maslany is just as focused in her attack up top on Clarke, trying to send compact shots to her cleavage with mitts crashing towards her head and shoulders. Clarke forced to cover up as the round continues, getting outworked down the stretch as she is forced back against the ropes. Tatiana showing off now as she lashes leather hard into Clarke, trying to get through her defenses but Emilia still competing hard as Maslany takes this round and the lead in a very close struggle between the two actresses.

R4: Tatiana comes out strong, eager to follow up on her performance the previous round, slamming in right hands to Clarke's cleavage and drifting in left hands up top to try to connect with her cheek. Emilia showing off good footwork, though, pivoting away from Tatiana's aggressive offense as she fires out rapid hooks towards her rival. Maslany is caught off guard by the up-tempo attack from Emilia, who is for lack of a better word, fired up as she works to overtake Tatiana as the round progresses. Clarke responding well to the last round as she keeps up the pressure, flicking out frisky right hands to face, kicking her head back and forcing her body to follow as she is wobbly-butt heading towards the ropes. Emilia won't stop as she keeps pouncing forward, focusing on hurting and threatening to drop Tatiana again as she batters her along the ropes, tying things up again with an impressive display.

R5: Tatiana struggling to keep up now as Clarke keeps pouring on the pressure, bouncing forward as she bullies her backwards with stunning right and left shots to her torso, whacking behind her elbow to double Maslany over. Hard little hooks hammer into her Tatiana's belly and then sending short crosses across her chest to get her to send her wobbly-butt into the ropes once more. Maslany is battered while Clarke batters her way to glory, romping to a shutout as she keeps scrubbing her mitts across rival ribcage and torso. It's an aggressive display that has Tatiana hurt, covering up along the ropes with Clarke on top at the end of the round, grinning as she heads back to her corner and leaves Maslany slumping into hers.

R6: Clarke pouncing Tatiana after the bell, just lathering at her head and shoulders with rights and lefts to try to pin her along the corner again. Tatiana responds well, picking up the pace after the initial onslaught, turning it on as she starts ripping at her chest and slipping in some shots towards her belly. Clarke forced to cover up, ceasing her offensive momentarily, with her arms dropping down for a moment. During that moment though, Tatiana scores a second knockdown with a hard right cross that connects hard with Clarke's cheek, sending her falling down to all fours. Maslany strutting over to a neutral corner, but Emilia making her way back to her feet to beat the count. But, it's Tatiana on top once she does rise, relentlessly ripping away compact right hooks to her tummy and left rocking her ribs, doubling her over. Cleaning up strong as Maslany makes her take weight, Clarke groaning as tidy little uppercuts smack into her body and pinning her against the corner. Maslany keeps tucking away to Clarke to the bell and even a little after as the ref pulls her off.

R7: Tatiana seeking to clean up, but Clarke competitive still as they keep banging away at one another, trading punches as they maneuver around one another midring. It's a bitter exchange between the two as both fighters grow more determined as the fight continues, with Tatiana trying to deploy her right hand to jab into Clarke's face and jugs to force her backwards. Maslany's left digging into her foe's flank as she crowds Clarke to the ropes again, starting to get control once more , but Clarke keeping up pace as she shoves in short hooks into Tat's tummy, then switching to some overhead right hands to send her mitts smashing into her temple. A clean shot to the side of Maslany's head has her reeling, legs threatening to give way as she falls towards the ropes. Clarke driving forward, whacking away at her ribs and body to leave Tatiana breathless, criss crossing shots across her cleavage in that final minute to steal the round away from Maslany.

R8: Tatiana still recovering from the flurry of offense at the finish of the previous round, but Clarke isn't about to let her get a chance to recover. Clarke charging out of her corner to pounce on Maslany from the bell, as Tatiana tries to move out of the way but is hammered by leather across her head and shoulders. Mitts spanking across Maslany's body, scrubbing back and forth in determined fashion. Tatiana trying to stay upright as she slams in her gloves towards Clarke's ribs, trying to drill in leather and twist herself out of harm's way. But, Em times a gorgeous right hand right over the top just when it appears Tatiana is about to pivot to freedom, as it crashes hard into her foe's face and sends Maslany's body swiveling to the side. Emilia drops Tatiana to her back, arms and legs starfished on the canvas, as Clarke confidently jogs away to a neutral corner as the count passes Maslany by. Beaming, Clarke takes the round and match via KO8!

After: “Glad we sorted that out...” Emilia says with a smile, “Tat is great and hits hard, but I totally hit harder, just like I told you I would! I'm sure she's going to go on to have a successful career around here, but she'll always know who is better and that's going to be me! Welcome to the FCBA, Tatiana!” as she fixes Tatiana with a cool glare . To her credit, Maslana doesn't retreat and gazes right back. Tough talk from Clarke, with some mixed encouragement in there, as it's a great debut for Tatiana Maslany, no matter what anybody says but obviously still a lot to learn for her as she gets dropped in her debut, beaten back by a confident Clarke tonight.
