BEFORE:

"This is PAYBACK," says Kendra, eyes flashing. "She's been running from me for almost a YEAR. One lucky punch and she took it and hid for ELEVEN MONTHS. Well, she can't hide NOW. Beach. Tonight. And her a** is MINE."

"I want to make one thing clear," says a stone faced Kat. "I will fight this little skank ANYwhere at ANY time. Beach, cruise ship, Ice Hotel, sauna, rail car, junkyard, abandoned warehouse, prison cell, ANYwhere. And the result is going to be the same no matter WHERE and no matter WHEN. MY arm raised. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Cameras, let's pan around and set the scene for the fans at home and inside the Asylum Arena. We are across the street from same, on a man-made beach complete with a massive in-ground pool with wave action. There are stadium lights and speakers surrounding us, and, down in the sand a few hundred lucky ticket holders and FCBA VIPs are sitting on blankets roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over fire pits as we wait for the first-ever fight at Asylum Beach to begin. Inside the arena, the giant four-sided scoreboard will serve as the screen for the rest of the fans. Tess, Cassie and I, meanwhile, are on the beach, high above where the action will take place in specially constructed lifeguard chairs. And beneath us, in an area marked off only by lines of flourescent colored smooth rocks, the fight will take place. Beach chairs will be used as stools for this one, and the corner people will stand outside the fight area. Right below us is a cabana serving as the owners box, and, next to it are the judges, sitting at an elevated table on beach chairs. Off to our right are tents where the participants are getting ready, but, before they come out, that's 'Sara' by Jefferson Starship, and here comes the reigning Undisputed Flyweight Champion, Sarah Shahi!"

Tess: "Sarah took her first name from this song after being teased in school over her real name, which is Aahoo..."

O'Dell: "Ms. Shahi, in the spirit of tonight's proceedings, is clad only in body paint, and the make up folks have done an excellent job of fashioning a paint replica of her old Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit."

Cassie: "Hey, why aren't WE in body paint?"

O'Dell: "Because TESS is a party pooper!"

Tess: "My MAMA'S daughter is NOT going on international television without CLOTHES!"

O'Dell: "Sarah climbing into the empty chair next to me and micing up. Thanks for joining us, Champ..."

Sarah: "My PLEASURE, Jenny. I'm looking forward to a GREAT fight!"

Oh the shark, babe
Has such teeth, dear...

O'Dell: "And you can hear the crowd INSIDE the Arena all the way out here! That song can mean only one thing on this night, the arrival of our special guest referee, Jenny 'Mac The Knife' McCarthy! And here she comes now, wearing nothing but that blue body paint..."

Sarah: "Here's a little scoop. The ladies are using water color body paint tonight. The advantage, of course, is that it goes on quickly, but, if the fight lasts a while, there's going to be a lot of SMUDGING going on..."

O'Dell: "Mac into the fight area. Looking around at the sand inside, checking out the boundary markers..."

Sarah: "Wouldn't want to be her tonight. Might not be easy to keep the girls inside the fight area with no ropes..."

Tess: "Well, if I know Mac, and I DO, she's not going to be shy about enforcing the rules..."

O'Dell: "And that song you hear is 'Just Like You' by Three Days Grace and here comes Ms. Shahi's stablemate, the lovely Kendra Wilkinson!"

Sarah: "Kendra wasting no time getting from the tents to the fight area. All business, and I'm not surprised. She's been waiting for a piece of Kat for a long time. She hasn't forgotten Dennings going rack on her the last time they fought..."

O'Dell: "Kendra wearing nothing but red body paint, so there'll be no need for a disrobe. She steps inside the fight area and locks eyes with J-Mac..."

Tess: "Can you feel the love, Jenny?"

O'Dell: "Wilkinson turns away and now begins pacing, waiting for her opponent...and that's 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' by Scissor Sisters, and here comes Kat 'The Rack' Dennings!"

Cassie: "Kat, of course, also clad only in body paint, and, if I'm not mistaken, she was scheduled to wear white..."

O'Dell: "But, as we all know, Kat likes to wear black to the ring, and that's the color she's wearing on her way down. Dennings not even LOOKING at Wilkinson. Simply steps into the fight area and turns away to Jewel and Britney in her corner. Ladies just about ready, and it's time for some picks. Tess and Mac both on record as favoring Kat. Cassie, what do you think?"

Cassie: "Kat's been working VERY VERY hard getting ready for this fight. A focused Kat is a DANGEROUS Kat. And she's EXTREMELY focused tonight."

O'Dell: "Sarah?"

Sarah: "I've said this before, and I'll say it again. Kendra's an underrated fighter. She's athletic, strong, tough. In a lot of stables, she'd be the number one fly, but, at Odds and Ends, she's stabled with the best flyweight on Earth..."

Cassie: "Tess, check the FCBA wire and make sure I didn't just get traded..."

Sarah: "A-HEM. As I was SAYing. Kendra's underrated. She's every bit as strong and tough as Dennings and much quicker and more athletic. Add in the fact that the beach is Kendra's home turf and the lack of ropes plays to her strength, and, unless McCarthy pulls some nonsense, Kendra's going to win EASILY..."

O'Dell: "So, we have some disagreement among our analysts. Let's see who's right. There's the bell and Kendra after Kat right away! Wilkinson firing away like crazy! Dennings backing up, ducking and covering from a wild assault by the blonde! Kendra missing wild and crazy, but she has Dennings in retreat!"

Sarah: "Kendra needs to settle down in there! Very sloppy right now. She's wild and not effectively wild..."

O'Dell: "Kat all defense, willing to give ground. She's at the edge of the fight area now and begins to circle..."

Tess: "Probably felt the rock under her feet like an outfielder does the warning track and realized she was almost out of the ring."

O'Dell: "Wilkinson still swinging away, but her batting average is well below the Mendoza line as she's missing wild with almost everything and slowing down as the round goes on. AND DENNINGS ROCKS HER WITH A SHORT RIGHT HAND! Kendra wobbled...sent staggering back with a left hook...AND DROPPED WITH A RIGHT! Wilkinson sent to her back with about 30 seconds to go in the first..."

Cassie: "Not a lot of quantity from Kat this round, but plenty of QUALITY..."

O'Dell: "Dennings not going to a neutral corner. Still standing above Wilkinson. J-Mac finally chasing her off and starting the count..."

Sarah: "Wasted a LOT of time there. Might be a big mistake..."

O'Dell: "Count at two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Wilkinson rolls to her hands and knees. Seven. Eight. And she beats it. McCarthy gives her the mandatory and is plenty quick about it..."

Sarah: "That was about a three second eight count!"

O'Dell: "And waives Kat forward. Dennings unloads a big flurry that sends Kendra wobbling back, but that's the bell. End of the first and Kat's on the board."

Tess: "10-8 round no doubt. Nice start for Dennings."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Ladies had the sand brushed off them in their corners and gotten some instruction and we're ready for the second. Dennings makes immediately with the pressure..."

Cassie: "Smart move by Kat. Got to figure Kendra doesn't have her legs all the way back yet. Now's a good time to close and go to work."

O'Dell: "And that's exactly what Kat's doing. Squaring Kendra up, backing her up with heavy shot, going body. Slowly walking the blonde down."

Tess: "This is what Front Street wants to develop in Kat, a power hitting pressure fighter, and you're seeing how effective she can be in that role."

O'Dell: "Wilkinson continuing to give ground grudgingly. Backed onto the rock and now out of the fight area. McCarthy immediately stops it, motions to the timekeeper to stop the clock and she's going to restart it in the middle..."

Tess: "And she's barking in Kendra's ear about staying inside the fight area."

Sarah: "Not fair! Kat forced her out!"

O'Dell: "Fight restarted and Dennings right back to work. Able to square Kendra up and back her up..."

Cassie: "Kat showing very good footwork here. Staying in good punching position. Not allowing Kendra to angle her. Again walking the blonde down and thumping her, both upstairs and down."

O'Dell: "And concentrating body in the final seconds of the round. Kendra steps out again, but before Mac can stop it, the bell rings to end the second and a shutout round for Kat."

Tess: "20-17 Kat after two..."

Sarah: "But it's still very early."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Ladies brushed off and ready to go for the third and Dennings again pressuring Kendra..."

Tess: "Kat doing a great job of staying square. Moving very well. Are you surprised she's able to do this, Cassie?"

Cassie: "Well, the sand is a factor. It slows you down. But Kat spent the last several weeks training with very quick flyweights. She's used to the speed and she's trained to deal with it."

Sarah: "I think the sand is the biggest factor. Dennings couldn't do this in a ring..."

O'Dell: "Either way, she's having no problems doing it here. Walking Kendra down again, thumping away upstairs and down, paying particular attention to the body...AND WILKINSON ROCKS HER WITH A LEAPING UPPERCUT! KENDRA LEAVING HER FEET ON THAT ONE AND SENDS KAT WOBBLING!"

Sarah: "That's called 'punching for respect' and Kendra just earned a TON of it!"

O'Dell: "Wilkinson going to work now, winging away with both hands, more disciplined and less wild this time, landing some good shots. Kendra backing Kat up now, scoring with some excellent right hands, doing all she can to get Dennings out of there..."

Cassie: "Kat covering up and giving ground, backed up to the border of the fight area..."

Sarah: "No ropes to lean against and go pocket!"

O'Dell: "Kendra buzzing away at Kat's high guard in the closing seconds. Dennings jabbing back occasionally, but mostly staying on defense. Wilkinson scoring well with both hands, but she's running out of time to find the 'off' switch. Final seconds ebb away and there's the bell and Kendra has a glare for Kat but it goes no further. McCarthy between them instantly and chases them both to their corners..."

Sarah: "And Kendra's on the board..."

Cassie: "But still trailing 29-27."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Ladies brushed and ready to go and there's the bell for the fourth. Dennings back to pressuring, walking in on Kendra. Wilkinson landing some good punches, but Kat walks through it and goes to work, BANGING away at the body."

Cassie: "Looks like Kendra didn't get as much respect as she thought, because Kat's right back to walking her down."

O'Dell: "Indeed she is. Kat just wading forward, willing to take one to give one, squaring Kendra up and backing her up. Wilkinson trying to hold...well...sand...but unable to do it. Dennings slowly forcing her backward due to superior weight of shot."

Tess: "And Kat concentrating more on the body this round..."

Sarah: "Good strategy, frankly. Kat the bigger girl, going to invest body to break down the smaller girl. But, keep in mind how solid Kendra is. She's not your normal fly. I don't think Dennings will wear her down this way."

O'Dell: "You may be right, Sarah, but Kat intends to find out. Again Dennings forces Wilkinson back and Kendra steps out of the ring. McCarthy stops it and orders them back to the center to start again. Kendra trying to circle, but Kat matches footwork, squares her up and backs her up again. Dennings taking some leather as she works forward, but she's landing more than she's shipping. Working upstairs more as the final seconds tick away and there's the bell, and Kat has another round."

Tess: "39-36 Kat, through four."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Getting ready for the fifth now and we're starting to see some of that smudging you were talking about, Sarah..."

Sarah: "Sure are. Kat's got red and blue on her, Kendra has plenty of black and blue, and McCarthy has red and black as a result of breaking the girls apart in clinches."

O'Dell: "There's the bell and let the shelling begin! Right away Kendra fires a solid flurry and Kat answers right back with a big barrage of her own! And they're toe to toe firing away with heavy leather!"

Tess: "And again you can hear the crowd inside Asylum reacting, and the crowd here on the beach getting into it as well!"

O'Dell: "Nothing sloppy about these exchanges. Both girls landing clean, heavy stuff and neither taking a step back. Kendra very active, digging her heels in now, refusing to be moved back. Kat just as determined to force Kendra to retreat..."

Sarah: "Kendra doesn't back down from anyone, least of all Dennings!"

O'Dell: "Into the final minute now, and Kat IS, once again, slowly forcing Kendra backward. It's a fighting retreat from Wilkinson, but a retreat nonetheless. Dennings thumping the body, then working to the head. Kendra responding with a couple of good licks of her own, but, as we approach the final bell, it's Kat taking control and earning the points as round five comes to an end!"

Cassie: "49-45 through five. Kendra's in a hole."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Ladies looking splotchier as we begin round six and Wilkinson again going to work right away! Kendra unleashing chaos as she swings away at Dennings! Kat giving some ground now, going onto the defensive as Wilkinson ups the volume to suppressive levels!"

Sarah: "This is what I keep telling you ladies! Kendra has another gear that Dennings can't match!"

O'Dell: "Wilkinson very busy. Not overly accurate, but she's landing a few and she's mostly keeping Kat from getting off. Dennings landing the odd counter, but Kendra controlling the pace and controlling the round."

Tess: "Kendra's throwing a lot of leather, but she's not hurting Kat."

Sarah: "But she's scoring points, and that's important, because Kendra's in better shape than Kat and that will tell in the late rounds."

Cassie: "I'm not sure you're right about that, Sarah. Kat's in superb shape for this one..."

Sarah: "Perhaps for a REGULAR fighter, but no stable does a better job of signing and training fighters for distance than Odds and Ends..."

Cassie: "You know, maybe you can come over to BAZZ and run the HILL with me one of these days..."

Tess: "One word. 'DON'T'."

Sarah: "If BAZZ girls can do it, Odds and Ends girls can do it..."

O'Dell: "Meanwhile, back inside the fight area, Kendra keeping up the pressure. Kat willing to stay on the defensive and fight in counter. Final seconds tick away with Kendra in control. There's the bell, and Wilkinson's won the sixth."

Cassie: "But Kat still leads 58-55."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Ladies brushed off and ready to go for the seventh and again Kendra letting the hands go. Wilkinson upping the volume even MORE this round, forcing Kat to cover up. Dennings again willing to fight on defense and give some ground..."

Sarah: "This is that conditioning I'm talking about. Kendra's still able to go at high volume, but Kat can't hang with her anymore. This is Wilkinson's fight now."

Cassie: "You know, you couldn't BE more full of CRAP..."

Sarah(chuckling): "Maybe when this one is over, you can get painted up and the two of US will have some fun down there, Scerbo. Well, it will be fun for ME at least..."

Cassie(coldly): "If your idea of fun is lying STARFISHED on the beach, then you'd REALLY enjoy it..."

Sarah(coldly): "We really DO have to get together sometime..."

Cassie(coldly): "Your management isn't that STUPID..."

O'Dell: "Back to the fight, Kendra firing away. Missing a lot more than she's landing, but she keeps working at a high volume. Dennings staying on defense, allowing Kendra to control the tempo..."

Tess: "This may be a case of Kat being too patient. She's countering in spots, but she's not doing it enough. Not being very assertive..."

O'Dell: "Final seconds ticking off here in the seventh. Wilkinson still firing with both hands, still hitting mostly air, but she's got the tempo she wants and she's effectively used volume to suppress Dennings two rounds in a row. There's the bell and Kendra has worked her way back into this thing."

Sarah: "TOLD you. 67-65 with three to go. This is Kendra's fight to lose!"

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Brushing now exacerbating the smudging as we head into the eighth round."

Cassie: "I suspect they might have used sturdier paint if they'd realized this thing was going to go to the late rounds, but I'm sure both fighters were planning on an early knockout..."

O'Dell: "Those plans, however, have gone awry as the bell rings to start number eight. Kendra right to work again, but Kat not retreating this time, Dennings banging back, walking through Wilkinson's offense and going to work in close..."

Cassie: "Hmm. Looks like Kat CAN still hang with Kendra..."

Sarah: "Wait until we get later into the round..."

O'Dell: "Kendra being forced backward again under the weight of Kat's shot. Dennings advancing inexorably, forcing a fighting retreat from the blonde. Kendra trying to angle, but Kat matching footwork and keeping square. Wilkinson backed to the edge of the fight area, backed OVER it now, and Dennings continuing to advance..."

Sarah: "Why isn't McCarthy restarting this?"

O'Dell: "Kat backs Kendra up another couple of steps with a nice combination. Wilkinson side steps, Kat slides with forces Kendra back against the judges table..."

Sarah: "What the HELL? The referee needs to stop this!"

O'Dell: "Mac NOT stopping it, and Kat STACKS Kendra up against the table and goes to work. Wilkinson now covering up as Dennings begins thumping leather first downstairs and then up. Odds and Ends corner going CRAZY demanding that Mac stop the action, but McCarthy letting it continue. Dennings digging body heavily now, bringing down Kendra's guard and then BANGING away upstairs. Wilkinson trying to fight her way free, but every sally is put down by withering fire from Dennings. Wilkinson taking a pounding as the final seconds of the round tick away. Kat not going to find the 'off' switch before the bell, but she's done plenty of damage and pitched a shutout round!"

Tess: "And extended her lead to 77-74 with two to go..."

Sarah: "With a little help from a CROOKED referee!"

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Ninth round begins with two smudged, blotchy fighters right back at one another. Kendra turning up the work rate immediately and Kat responding in kind! Pitched battle developing right in the middle of the fight area. Dennings not having any, walks through Kendra's offense and goes to work in close, thumping at the red-painted body of Wilkinson..."

Cassie: "I notice there's a spot on her back with a lot of the paint missing. Must be from being backed up against the table last round..."

O'Dell: "Kendra showing some leg now, backing and circling to get some space, firing away at Dennings, who responds in kind, then works forward to smother Wilkinson and pound away at her body."

Tess: "Kat not going to give Kendra the space to operate, and she's been very effective at bringing her to battle tonight, something that had to be a concern coming in..."

O'Dell: "Wilkinson scoring only in spots as Dennings is forcing terms, crowding the blonde, suppressing her, and working her body over with heavy leather. Kendra still moving well, even in the ninth round, but Dennings able to close again and again. Kendra can't find space and can't keep her off, and it's Dennings working body to the bell!"

Cassie: "That's two straight for Kat. Guess Dennings wasn't as worn out as SOME people thought..."

Sarah: "Keep talking, blondie. That's what you do best..."

Cassie: "Keep thinking that, 'champ'..."

Tess: "The win for Dennings makes the score 87-83 with one to go. Kendra needs a stoppage in the tenth."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "Ladies brushed and ready for the tenth and final, both now smudgy messes of red, black and blue..."

Cassie: "And both are PLENTY black and blue underneath the paint, too..."

O'Dell: "There's the bell and here we go. Wilkinson throwing caution to the wind, right after Kat, winging everything in the arsenal at the brunette. Dennings not backing up, firing right back at the blonde..."

Sarah: "Give Dennings credit. She could run and hide right now, probably literally, as McCarthy apparently wouldn't stop her if she crossed the street and went into the arena, but she's not running clock..."

O'Dell: "She is NOT. She's fighting a running battle with Kendra. Wilkinson angling and landing, Kat squaring and responding, good back and forth stuff and BOTH women look to have some left in the tank despite this being the tenth and final round..."

Cassie: "Impressive in both cases, maybe a bit moreso by Kendra after all the body work she's taken..."

Sarah: "Like I told you, Odds and Ends signs fighters and trains fighters to go the distance."

O'Dell: "And Kendra looks like doing so tonight. Final minute and the blonde still moving well, landing good stuff, Kat responding with good feet of her own and banging right back. And here we go down the stretch, heavy shell being exchanged, neither girl backing up, crowd inside the arena again audible across the street as Kat and Kendra go toe to toe right to the bell! And McCarthy has to leap in between the pair to stop things almost ten seconds after the bell. Corners quickly into the fight area to haul their fighters back to their corners. Round was pretty even, ladies..."

Tess: "I scored it a draw..."

Cassie: "Me, too. But it's academic..."

O'Dell: "Should be, and before the decision's announced I want to again thank Unified Flyweight Champion Sarah Shahi for joining us..."

Sarah: "My pleasure, Jenny, Tess. Cassie, we'll be SEEING one another..."

Cassie: "Oh, I DO hope so..."

O'Dell: "Decision being announced and it's unanimous, 97-93 for your winner by UD10, Kat 'The Rack' Dennings!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go down to the beach and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kat Dennings, and..."

Kat: "See? This is what I told EVERYONE leading up to this fight, Tess! She can name the time and the place. She can name any stipulations she wants. We can do this in body paint on a beach or in parkas in the Antarctic. It doesn't MATTER. The result is going to be the same EVERY time. An a** whipping delivered right to that bimbo's door!"

Tess: "Are you at all upset you didn't stop her like last time?"

Kat: "Not at all. Pounding her for ten rounds was every bit as satisfying as leaving her tits up in the ring. Maybe even a little bit MORE satisfying."
