Before: Hunt coaxed out of semi-retirement to face Katie KO Couric. Helen once considered a durable, competent celebrity fighter, hasn't seen action in ages, and a loss to Couric wouldn't exactly convince boxing that she's back. Hunt in white tank top, white cotton panties, Katie in blue cotton boxers, white push up bra.

During R1-2: Helen hoping to establish her educated left jab, but it is Katie doing all the damage with single shot hooks that rock Hunt throughout the early rounds. Helen looking surprised to be hit, obviously not sharp defensively, has openings but can't pull the trigger as Katie comes forward to make the fight. With seconds left in the second, Hunt staggers Katie with a drilling right cross, beating Couric's hook, but time saves the little journalist from more punishment.

R3: Helen able to take over the momentum of the bout, now jabbing effectively, keeping Katie back, and muscling the smaller woman around the ring whenever Couric makes it inside. Hunt finding the range with the right hook as Katie does not fight well going backwards./

R4: Helen starches Katie early with hard rights off the jab, making Couric move back, and the fight gets very easy for the blonde. Couric just doesn't move her head when she's not coming forward, and Hunt tees off, leaning into increasingly sharp rights hands, until Katie is stunned along the ropes. Right/left to the body freezes Katie, allowing Hunt to reset and crank a sweet left hook follow up off Couric's face. Katie out on her feet, puddles forward as Helen steps away, virtually expressionless with the brutal KO.

After: Helen Hunt showing rust, but also poise, and some power in hunting down and destroying the always game Katie C. On Late Night with Dave, Hunt quips "She should change that nick name to KO'd Katie" Dave laughs like it never occurred to him to say it.
