Before: Richards nearly destroyed by the crushing weight of expectation earlier in her career, now fighting fellow ingénues to get some seasoning to go with the good genes. Pressly, a former sparring partner for Teri Hatcher, reportedly a bug banging little blonde in the Hatcher mold--Richards will be tested. Blue string bikini top, grey cotton draw string shorts for Denise; Silver string bikini top, black nylon jogging shorts for Pressly.

During r1-2: Richards with a classic stance, good lateral movement--Pressly in a slugger’s slouch, left hand swaying menacingly at waist level, right cocked at the shoulder, face a petulant frown as she stalks flat footed. Pressly with a nice whip action on the left-right, but simply not active enough. Richards eating her up with firm double jabs, hookin to the ribcage and stomach, and crossing to the mouth with little response. Jamie coming forward the entire time, seems unfazed, but Richards is scoring and banking points.

R3,4,5,6: Fight quickly settles into the Denise Richards Show, as the brunette showcases her ware bargains a seemingly willing accomplice. Richards pumping out a steady stream of nervous jabs, retreating in a winding path around the ring as Pressly is relentless, but plodding in pursuit. Richards putting punches together whenever she nears the ropes, pats at Pressly’s tummy with the left/right/left routine, then steps to the side to start the patient, scoring retreat all over again. Jaime covering up whenever Richards stops to flurry, then walking into jabs--but simply not letting her hands go., it’s almost as if the blonde is waiting fir the perfect opening--making Richards look like a surgeon in the process. 4 consecutive shutout rounds for Richards, who boxes up a storm, but doesn’t so much as raise a welt in the blonde’s sullen face, despite the constant patter of little fists thereupon.

R7: Richards’ legs start to look a little heavy this round, and Pressly finally cuts off the ring, punching side to side, Jaime snaps off whipping lefts and rights to Richards’ firm body, landing with spanking force and causing Denise to look panic stricken at times. Pressly wide with the right hand getting blocked on that side, but scoring repeatedly with the slinging left hook to the body and breasts of the brunette.

R8: Denise with renewed urgency, continues to retreat around the ring, firing off short bursts of straight lefts and rights from the shoulder--never coming close to hurting Jaime, but the blonde has the bad habit of waiting for her turn. Pressly gets her licks in late with smacking left hooks in the ribs and jaw of Richards, but once again lets the round slip away before her heavier hands can prove decisive.

R9: Jaime stepping into Denise, thudding the right hand from the shoulder in between Richards’ breasts, but Denise till sharp, able to counter with crisp left/rights on the mouth and step to the side behind a smokescreen of jabs. Denise winning her 8th in 9, really outclassing the blonde at this point.

R10: Denise continues ti show great conditioning, flicking and sticking the jab, bouncing on her toes, stepping in and out to spank at Jaime’s sides with wide lefts and rights, then circling to find the next angle of attack. Wheels fall off the gravy train in the final minute as Pressly applies pressure, cuts off the ring, and lets her hands go. Jaime lashing the left hook, turning into the snapping right hand hurts Denise with a series of flush one-twos then digs mercilessly to the stomach of the brunette to crumple Richards forward. Bodying up, Jaime with her hands on Richards’ arms, pushes the brunette back, and leans into short right hands to the face that rock the brunette’s world. Richards on the ropes, taking drifting blows to the face, head jerking back, then settling forward as her eyes go glassy AND RICHARDS GOES DOWN!! Denise Richards looking lost and confused, sits on numb legs in a neutral corner as Jaime glares from behind the referee. Richards gamely beats the count and covers up as Pressly lashes away with wide lefts and rights to the bell, leaving Richards swooning on the ropes, but the clear points winner none-the-less. UD10 Denise, who is escorted from the ring by concerned corner men after the decision.

After: Both girls able to get some things done in a fight that wildly favored Richards in the cards, but seemed counterintuitive afterwards as Pressly stayed in the ring to gesture and play to the crowd while a shaken Denise had to helped to the dressing room. Denise showing a worrisome lack of commitment on her punches, never hurt Jaime despite dominating the punchstat numbers. Pressly with the look of a huntress, simply not busy enough to win a decision, relying on the knockout that never came.
