BBU FIGHT NIGHT FROM CARDIFF

(Lioness Club vs Kear's Kats)

Let’s be clear - these two girls do not like one another! They have been rivals for a while, and the only surprise to most fightfans is that the pair has not met before in a BBU ring.

Sophie’s record has been mixed, but she looked great until she walked into Kelli Young’s right hook in her last fight. Abbey meanwhile has won just once in nine outings, and that was against the wimpy Sophie Ellis-Bextor in 2011!

Abbey enters the ring first, in a typically ‘look at me’ gold bikini, gloves and boots, with Sophie in royal blue bikini, white gloves and royal blue boots. Both girls look great, and ready for this fight.

Round 1

Sophie wastes no time at all – she pops Abbey’s head back with a left-right combination, and immediately has the blonde backing off, tries to pin her to the ropes already, but Abbey slides along and out, then shows her dancing skills, keeping Sophie at a distance with her left lead, staying active, but Sophie’s gradually stalking her, closing her into the corner of the ring – and she’s giving the blonde a little pasting now, slamming a couple of pretty decent right handers into Abbey’s face, and the blonde swoons a little, rocking back against the ringpost, Sophie finishing the round well on top, belting Abbey’s long body with both hands, the tall blonde’s face screwed up in pain.

Round 2

Abbey’s offering more resistance now, and she’s trading with Sophie, her punches less powerful, but they are landing. Now she misses with a very telegraphed hook, and this lets Sophie inside her reach, the brunette unloading heavy punches to Abbey’s body – and she crumples to the canvas, coughing and retching – that last blow to the belly has really taken her! Abbey’s up again at 7, and she’s trying to stay away from Sophie, but the busty brunette has her girl on the run now, and she lays into her again, brings the guard down with a savage pummelling of the ribs, and she splits Abbey’s lips open with a peach of a left uppercut, the blonde looking helpless, but managing to hold onto Sophie’s neck, just about making it through the round.

Round 3

Sophie’s bristling as they resume, and she wipes her right gloves across Abbey’s face, the blonde staggering a little, but Sophie’s not got herself steady, and the blonde girl gets back into the fight, snapping Sophie’s head back, and now she’s beginning to dictate to the older girl, gets through her defences, and whips a good left hook into her mouth, then gives her a right to the body, which has her attention. Sophie has a poor defence, and she fights back instead, slamming her gloves into Abbey’s face in a quick rhythm, making the blonde cover up again. In comes Sophie to rip punches into Abbey’s face – but she gets picked off this time as the taller girl stands up and jabs her, Sophie shocked by this reaction, and she stumbles when Abbey lands a swinging hook on her cheek, ending the round taking more shots than she gives in a fierce little exchange.

Round 4

Abbey seems expectant, pleased with her third round performance, and she risks a toe-to-toe exchange with Sophie, which is playing into the brunette’s hands, the big breasted girl thudding three straight punches into Abbey’s face, now she hooks the girl to the body with her right, and that’s put Abbey down again, just like it did in the second! Abbey gets up at 8 this time, but she’s really struggling now, can’t keep Sophie away, and the brunette’s loving this now, crashes her right, the her left fist into Abbey’s face, the younger girl just about shot away, and another right hook to the jaw finishes the job off, Abbey splayed out on the canvas, out cold.

Result: Sophie Howard knocked Abbey Crouch out in round 4.

Well, that may have been a contest between two jobbers, but the fightfans always enjoy seeing two big, good-looking girls beating the crap out of one another, and that’s what they got.

Sohie Howard looks delighted, but she’s getting ideas above her station, because she’s heard to be challenging Danielle Miller, the Page Three girl readily seeming to accept the invitation.
