Seydoux ill-amused, but patient with the Stone-centric media attention. "I know the spotlight must shine upon Emma going into this fight," Seydoux admits in prefight. "I say, 'going into this fight'. During R1: Rangy, light-limbed girls bobbing in-stance; pinging out elastic left jabs; swivel-pivoting clockwise. Hands up, elbows in - fighters electing to poke away from long range - each vixen spotting her jab upstairs and down. On the rare occasions when fighters fall-in, it's Seydoux working - pumping-hands to Emma's tummy/ribs before Stone can push off.

R2: Emma picking up the pace - pivoting more abruptly around a spicier jab. Seydoux more defensive, blocking and bobbing more than attacking: Stone imposing will midring.

R3: Lea able to bait-and-switch Emma early, feinting Stone, then looping a rangy right hand over the top: Emma clipped to chin - she baby-steps to her right all startled and rocked. Lea stitching jabs, driving Emma ropeside, then fitting an expert little hook PAK! to Emma's rightside ribs. Stone grunting, forming tight earmuff...Lea letting hands go, batting away flanks-and-arms on cringing American. Emma punches back in spots - spooking Lea with cutie-pie left uppercuts, but overall it's Seydoux maintaining position, working hard for points.

R4: Emma roaming to her left behind that long, stiff jab. Most of the poke dies on Lea's raised guard, but Emma bending her knees, sticking Seydoux to breadbasket as well, dictating distance. Seydoux foiled when she tries to push forward, but taking little half-steps back, she can coax Emma into traps, occasionally trading hooks at middle distance. Bell: Emma makes sure of Lea's breasts with a chopping late left; tempers flare as Lea takes exception.

R5: Lea with that sneaky feint/overhand right routine smites Emma clean to chin: Stone baby-stepping to her right all blinking and hurt, showing distress. Seydoux pressing-forward with hooks - digging rangy at Emma's belly/ribs. Blonde girl groaning, reaching to tie up, but clever Lea slips small-gloved left hand into Emma's trunks-front, tugging Stone off balance, spinning her round, pushing her off, pasting her a rubbery right hand to mouth on the way out. Ref shouting warnings about the tug-and-spin, but Lea shuts her English off and continues on smartly.

R6: Lea outworking Emma in all areas. French girl quicker off the mark, being first with the jab midring. French girl's footwork crisper, snapping her pivots off, turning Emma clockwise. At closer ranges - Lea's ducking her way in, burying the right hand in Emma's tummy, then outworking her in limber-limbed hup-hup-hup exchanges...Stone wearing an exasperated frown as she's gradually getting her ass nibbled if not well and truly kicked through 6.

R7; Hot-tossing two way as girls chisel away behind spicy jabs - faces and breasts taking quite the pasting. Emma starting to mix in the right cross, raking Lea one-two: Seydoux tending to keep the right at her cheek, slipping in under Emma's work for hooking-angles to ribs downstairs. Even round until late: Lea with that hard step-in, feint, looping overhand right...Emma's chin snaps to the side, she stumbles to her right and just like that, she's lost the round.

R8: Emma digs down, works hard, gets it done on Lea this round. Starts behind that chipping, chiseling jab - Emma tapping at Lea's face, scuffing her cheekbones and hairline. Right hands from Emma well defended by Lea, but they're keeping Seydoux defensive, setting up fresh offensives from Emma. Down the stretch, Stone salts the round away with some rangy left/rights across the beltline of Lea. Seydoux grouchy, bytching at the ref at the bell: she wants low-blows called there.

R9; Lea outworks Emma. Seydoux pivoting smoothly clockwise around her jab - scoring to Emma's face, breasts, tummy. Lea bobbing, feinting, then stepping out to circle counter-clockwise: Emma flinching, looking confused at times as Lea's proving unpredictable, uncooperative through 9.

R10: Emma pressing, worried that she's behind - she wants a knockdown at least. Plays into Lea's clever hands...French girl fighting with a smug little smirk - touching her jab to pre-empt, then sliding out of range, baiting Emma forward, walking her into punches. Stone occasionally able to scatter Lea into a jogging retreat, but Seydoux well-composed, circling to her right, forcing Emma to rush. Down the stretch, Stone gets caught: Emma rushes in; Lea in wide stance, leaning weight onto right leg and pulling a whippy hook onto Emma's chin...BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Stone spilling to hands and knees all flustered, sniveling...she beats the count, but both girls know the score. Comes back UD10 Lea Seydoux.

After: Emma all scuffed and disheveled - clever little Lea bedeviling Stone tonight, outboxing the favoured American and hurting her in spots. "I am happy," Lea smiles in postfight. "I knew I could claim Emma, but it is hard to get my side of the story across, yes? All the media wants to know is what's Emma's plan; what's Emma going to wear; what's Emma thinking and feeling. Now you know the truth: it does not matter what Emma wants, because Lea is better!"
