Before: "Look, this is a winnable fight for me," Freeman assures assembled press in prefight. "I'm fresh, well-rested: Theron's coming off the most grueling test of her career, not to mention a hard loss to Taylor Cole. I'll beat hell out of Charlize - you watch."

Theron laughing off fears that she's pushing her body too hard following a bruising campaign against the Crusade. "The more I fight, the better I get," Theron smiles at podium. "It's rust I worry about - inactivity. I'm sharper than I've ever been coming off the Crusade. I fought those girls to a stand-still; I broke their spirit, and I'm coming into Cassidy with a full head of steam. This isn't a "tough fight" for me; this is Cassidy in the cross-hairs; Cassidy in trouble. Freight-train's heading right at her, and this girl's just standing on the tracks, waiting to get smoked!"

Theron in green bikini; hair in shower-dampened kinks, loose; yellow gloves. Cassidy in midnight blue crushed-velvet bra and panties; hot pink gloves; coppery curls up. During ref's instructions, Theron making relaxed eye contact as she loosens up on the spot, rolling her head, shaking out her arms. Freeman actually listening to the ref and nodding to acknowledge the guy!

During R1: Theron rangy into position - limbs loose, weight forward. Freeman in tighter configuration - hands at brows, giving away her tummy without fear. CT pops a double jab off the guard, easy-pivoting clockwise around the pokes; she bops outside, then steps in again, touching at Freeman's front. Cassidy looking to step-and-chop that left jab from her brow - looking to knock at CT stiff, then drift her righty. Patient, workmanlike stuff - women testing each other in tactical action. Down the stretch, Cassidy pulls away with a healthy, strapping right/left belted HARD across CT's ribs...blonde girl stepping out, face rigid with effort, trying not to wince.

R2: Similar stuff - CT circling to her left, limbs loose and relaxed, exploring Cassidy's defences via popping left jabs/hesitation right hands. Freeman blocking-and-stalking, chopping her jab from the high guard, feeding CT the odd blunt right hand up the middle. Down the stretch, Freeman again scores heavily to Golden Torso: clubbing, thick right/left/right against the ribcage, chasing Theron into rangy retreat.

R3: Theron with a rangy first minute, showing a limber leg, a flirty left hand...everything changes when she catches a smiting right to chin a minute in. Blonde rocked on the spot, stunned: Freeman's follow-on hook chops chin with a palm-up delivery. Theron's lead (left) leg slides too far forward, nearly sitting her down...she stumbles out of it, but she's in retreat - driven ropeside by Freeman's pursuit. Cassidy grim-faced, crouching: she belts CT across the waist right/left, really getting in there loud...Theron grimacing, sagging into ropes, reaching hands behind Freeman's head. Blonde girl pulling redhead head down, but Cassidy keeps arms pumping: thudding body blows pound at Golden Midsection, beating Charlize breathless. Theron gasping, covering up earmuff: Cassidy feeds her a muscular right uppercut between the mitts, popping Charlize face up all eyes closed/lips parted/brows arched in swoon. Theron rolling listlessly to her right, laying on ropes with right shoulder: Cassidy hooks belly, hooks belly - Freeman with weight on lead (left) leg, popping hips-right, really beating her fist into Charlize. Reefing hooks roll Charlize's back to ropes again: Freeman crowds close, fits the right uppercut between mitts, then hooks chin before Theron can cover up again. Crowd roaring...lithe, sleek blonde getting battered, growing sullen and heavy in the pocket, slouching forward behind her mitts. Cassidy brawny on her girl to bell - using the extended left elbow to prop; beating hands off those shiny flanks, looking for uppercuts...Theron all but out when the bell sounds.

R4: Chopping jab from high guard knocks back CT's face, startling her: short, drifting right hand swivels blonde head, putting her wobbly-butt at the open. Theron stumbling to her right, hitting ropes in a fog: she forms that groggy earmuff front again, trying to protect ribs with elbows. On. Comes. Cassidy. Freeman just camping out in front of CT - pushing her shoulders with heels of hands; propping her with that left elbow; bumping up underneath with a levering left shoulder. Punching is thick, methodical - Cassidy grimly working those ribs to either side; bashing the toned biceps; scooping at tummy. Short uppercuts pick Theron's groggy face up: blonde girl lumping up, just standing there and absorbing. It's all too much...constant thump of Cassidy takes withering effect - blonde girl eventually wilting to all fours, right side parallel to ropes. Cassidy stomps to neutral corner all hard-eyes, heaving-chest...she shows no reaction when Theron beats the count. Leads to a muscular clean up over the final minute: Freeman disciplined, pitching mitts into CT - Cassidy hunched forward, mitts together at chest when she's loading up, bouncing either hand off blonde flanks at bell.

R5: Theron laying on ropes, eyes lidded, lips parted...Oscar winning actress presents the picture of a woman waiting to be finished. Freeman buys it, but Theron proves a possum: blonde palming Cassidy's forehead with left hand; chopping-through with the right. Laying back into ropes, CT swipes the palm-up hook, clouting Freeman under her chin, putting her wobbly-butt. Theron executing a cute little spin, reversing Freeman into ropes, fronting on her and GOING TO TOWN! Theron unleashing all long arms, swiveling hips - blonde girl getting her back into belting shellack, twisting side to side to pull harm onto Cassidy. Freeman hurt, crossing her wrists just beneath her chin. Theron just pouring the lash to Cassidy - pushing Cassidy's face or head with the open-left hand; smiting her vicious buggywhip right hands to body/flank. CASSIDY TAKES A KNEE! Freeman's face pinched in pain: Theron forcing heartless eye-contact as she gets the answer-knockdown. Final moments a brutal pay-back clean-up session for CT: she owes Cassidy a huge debt of punishment, and she's making a pretty good downpayment through 5. Bell: ref pushing a seething Goddess away from a wincing redhead...Theron lingering in the area, showing her aggression; Cassidy's turn to lick her wounds during the break.

R6: Theron back to boxing - all the more effective as Cassidy's visibly slower in pursuit. Blonde girl rangy outside, weight on lead (left) leg; snapping left jab popping into Cassidy's raised guard, keeping her defensive. Theron rotating clockwise, flinching back from Freeman's chopping jab-receipts: blonde girl evading touches now, leaning back on supple hips - even pulling the right hand up off the hip to chop pull-counters over Cassidy's left. Freeman turning, encircled midring...she's getting systematically picked apart - Theron's jab finding the breasts and punishing them; pull-counter right hands spanking-face; jab up top setting up a wicked buggywhip right to flank...Cassidy grimacing, trusting sturdy body to sponge the licks up, but those are nasty points to be giving away.

R7: Theron determined to win the fight mid-ring - flat-footed step-and-pivot routines turning Cassidy clockwise; jab controlling tempo, dictating distance; counter right hands victimizing Cassidy when she tries to jab-with. Freeman stubbornly refusing to punk: she's outclassed, but she's competing - shifting to a crossed-arm bob and hooking ribs heavy in spots.

R8: Freeman's thumping authority to ribcage becomes more pronounced...she's able to belt CT to ropes, squaring up on blonde-girl from the midpoint on. Nothing fancy - Cassidy bobbing on the spot, knuckles together at her chest, then she'll pop hips right or left, rip either hand to Theron's body, then reset at Charlize takes. Theron grimacing, stooping forward off ropes in earmuff: Cassidy just issuing methodical bump-and-slug to work her girl over to bell.

R9: CT with hands at waist, baits Cassidy into jabbing: Theron's torso weaves back, right hand pulling up off thigh to be dropped heavily to Cassidy's chin - Freeman's hurt! Cassidy stepping in fence-post holes, hands tight to temples...Theron looks to finish! Pivot-right puts CT over Cassidy's left hip: blonde girl lashes her left palm-up across Freeman's tummy, bunching redhead up; slinging sidearm right bounces hard off Cassidy's back. Bolo right uppercut works outside-in to pick Cassidy's face up: CT following up with rude left elbow to jug, putting Freeman on her heels. CT in her element - being all long legged and supple outside, turning Freeman's flanks, slashing and slinging either hand at staggering redhead. Cassidy's curvy legs holding her up, but OH, the shellack...blonde girl expertly maintaining her distance in wide-stance, bouncing hands off strong redhead torso with rubber-hose delivery. Bell: Theron beaming all sweaty-faced, eyes dancing; Freeman cringing, defiant, walking on her heels back to corner through 9.

R10: Theron working her plan - easy-breezy and relaxed outside, touching and turning Freeman midring. Cassidy blocking-and-stalking, not cutting off the ring but having her moments: red head bouncing the odd wallop off Golden ribs, forcing Theron to lope out of range. Charlize in charge of the clock, dictating the engagements...blonde girl makes a calculated bid to see judge's cards. Verdict comes back a draw: exhausted vixens don't hesitate to elect overtime.

Theron takes advantage of the change-over break - swapping out her green bikini behind a portable screen in the ring, for a white silk-finish bikini.

R11: Theron setting up on ropes, inviting Freeman in: brutality ensues. Cassidy keeping her head low, swinging fists to hips and flanks, shaking Theron in the pocket. CT sitting in ropes, keeping elbows tight to ribs, hands up...when it's her turn, she's lashing uppercuts underneath, working jug, lapping tummy, clipping chin. CT also artful with her hands on defence - pulling Freeman's head down; tying Freeman up behind an elbow. Theron keeping up a steady, gasping chatter: "Takin' you into deep water, Cass." "Scooped your tummy." "Jug-meat!" "Baby that all you got left?" Freeman grim-faced, tight-lipped, just trying to bash Theron into silence, but to no avail. Bell: Theron pushes Cassidy away by her face - blonde girl confidently nodding her head en-route to her stool.

R12: Theron all leggy again - loping/pivoting clockwise, weight forward, limbs loose. Feints setting up elastic jabs - Theron treating herself to Cassidy's bruised face. Charlize leaning back on supple hips to avoid Freeman's receipts while staying in range to counter: Theron's sneaky right hand off the thigh a constant menace. Cassidy having some luck shooting-in on Theron's waist, driving her to ropes: blonde girl doing a good job tying up for ref's breaks rather than allowing Freeman to work on top. Masterful stuff from Charlize - she floats, she stings, and at the bell, she lifts her mitts, nods her head and makes "Yeah, baby!" eye contact...comes back UD12 Charlize Theron.

After: Cassidy ashen faced as Theron's arm is raised - Freeman SO close to first-half victory, letting it all slip away as Charlize simply refused to stop competing. "She gave me a hell of a fight," CT breezes in post fight - right arm across the interviewer's shoulders. "She's bull-strong, so I needed to get back to my legs. My legs guys - my legs are by far the most decisive weapons in boxing today. Don't always use 'em the way my trainer wants, but when I do - I don't think there's another woman out there who can really compete on even terms. Cassidy was great - gave it everything she had. But I'm the Golden Goddess: 'great' just doesn't cut it."
