Before: Catchweight fight, but Valance will be bigger on the night...Vaugier's not concerned. "I've fought bigger women my whole career," Emmanuelle shrugs in prefight. "Holly's not the first to feel the need of a few extra pounds to make her feel secure against me. I know Rampant's bankrolling this, but whatever. Once I throw Holly on the scrap heap with Nattie D, maybe they'll start to understand my quality."

Valance widely regarded as one of the best and cleverest of the Pac Rim fighters...her reputation internationally not so different from Vaugier's own. "You know, Emmanuelle's one of those tough, unsung veterans who just keeps claiming against younger girls," Holly admits at podium. "She won't be easy. But every woman has a due date, and Emmanuelle must surely be approaching hers. I'll be hitting her hard, and I hope to be standing in the ring when age finally catches up to her!"

Leads to spicy, prolonged exchanges as Emmanuelle absorbs thump to the body, offers back flashing combos tummy and tits underneath. Valance paying the price now, but continuing to bump and slug her way forward...blonde girl bullying slighter brunette around the ring, investing heavily in Vaugier's body for the long haul.

R3: Vaugier working behind the jab, shifting clockwise with her back (right) heel up off canvas. Brunette pacing her blonde with pulsing left hands punctuated by sudden, darting straight rights...Holly's forward progress greatly problematized as she's forced to bob and weave on approach. Valance needing to lunge out of her weaving torso movement if she wants to find Vaugier's body: Emmanuelle now enjoying a favourable balance of trade as she tattoos away on Valance' head and shoulders. Bell: satisfied Vaugier mutters "Yep," as she passes by Holly's left flank...Vaugier casually slapping her left hand to Holly's buttock without even glancing back. Holly not amused, stopping and staring Vaugier all the way to her corner as blonde temper is aroused.

R4: Buzzsaw combinations from Emmanuelle punch Holly back on her heels...blonde girl overwhelmed by the tight groupings of head and body blows, arriving in clusters. It's all too much: left/right/left kisses across face, driving Holly to ropes; hop-step right sets up hook to paunch from outside Holly's left hip; chopping right takes Holly behind left ear as she's bobbing forward and BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Holly stunned, staring on all fours: rarely has classy Pac Rim veteran been so ransacked. Holly beats the count, eyes moist: she digs in at apron, showing a tight, stooping earmuff front as Valance wades in. Grim attrition the recipe - Emmanuelle pushes her head into Holly's guard, popping hips-right to heave home heavy, low slung hooks tummy and flank. Valance grunting in receipt, but absorbing well: she tip-taps little right left uppercuts from her guard, checking Emmanuelle's chin, then covering up tight. Bitter toe to toe - Valance electing to stand and answer rather than tying up off the ropes...result is stalemate down the stretch as Vaugier tries but can't apply finishing touches after the knockdown.

R5: Vaugier eyes narrowed, blood cold...she's walking to her right, fists grouped loosely at her chest as she looks Holly over. Vaugier stepping in sudden backhand jabs "HAH!" - blocked by Holly...Vaugier mixing in right hand tummy-punches to take advantage of high blonde guard. Simple routine - counter-clockwise strolling setting up sudden 2-punch combos...Vaugier never lingering for long in front of her blonde. Valance turning, occasionally reaching out and clawing her hook across Vaugier's breasts as Emmanuelle's circling-out to her right.

R6: Holly cuts off the ring, forcing more toe-to-toe fighting: Vaugier gradually getting the worst of the exchanges. Nothing fancy - blonde girl looking to establish that supple, heavy, stepped-in hook low to Vaugier's right flank: once that's in, there's a right uppercut and clean up hooks available in close. Vaugier grunting in receipt of the body shots - feeling Holly's thudding weight of shot...Emmanuelle churning hup-hup left/right uppercuts to breasts in vain attempt to back Valance off.

R7: Vaugier up-tempos, completely confusing/overwhelming her beautiful foe. Valance blinking in wonder, constantly on her heels...Vaugier threading slick one-twos in between raised blonde gloves; whacking a sidearm right off blonde ribs; dipping and ripping hooks tummy and flank. Valance visibly shaken during the worst of it, saving herself from knockdown by draping off Vaugier's neck: Emmanuelle batting both hands tic-tock off Valance's succulent hips until ref's break. Bell to bell pursuit - Holly stumbling along ropes, her head snapping back at times, her body cringing when Vaugier really belts home hard leather. Strutting back to corner, Vaugier winks saucily at Natalie Dormer and collected Rampant reps: Nat purses lips all glaring and non-plussed.

R8: Holly trails a broken wing with a pained expression and wounded eyes...she baits Emmanuelle into ropes, then bogs her down in costly hold and hit. Blonde girl clutching at brunette biceps; wrapping a hand behind Vaugier's neck to pull her head down; wrestling Vaugier into ropes to make her take the weight of Holly's smothering curves. Amidst the constant grabbing, there's the smiting - deft little hacks and cuffs with either hand, swatting at Vaugier's jawlines and body. Emmanuelle grimacing with the muscular effort of pushing Holly off far enough to strike at her...Vaugier mostly reduced to trimming Valance with the short right uppercut before Holly can crowd in.

R9: Vaugier reclaims initiative with her legs, rotating counter-clockwise, keeping the fight midring. Backhand jabs pepper at Holly's prepared defences; quick, follow-on right hands punch at Holly's tummy; recovery-jabs prevent Holly from issuing consequence-free counters.

R10: Vaugier attempting to set up turning battle midring, but Holly gambles on a swinging hook from a lunging crouch, catching Emmanuelle in her counter-clockwise circuit, driving her to ropes at the stagger. Vaugier forms earmuff...Valance angles-in off the Vaugier right hip. Holly flashes a straight right down into Vaugier's tummy, getting brunette defences to flinch down; sudden, crashing hook toggles Vaugier's chin! Emmanuelle tilting left on her hips, eyes staring...Holly bats away sidearm rights from outside Vaugier's right hip, catching Emmanuelle straight arm wallops on the face. DOWN GOES VAUGIER! She twists en-route to canvas, sprawling tummy-down, left side parallel to ropes and SHE'S OUT! Glorious 11th hour KO, Holly Valance.

AFter: Holly smirking, strutting - well behind on points going into the 10th, experienced Pac Rim beauty knew she needed the knockout. "I knew I'd drop a lot of minutes to Emmanuelle," Holly admits in postfight. "She's very skilled, very quick - I wasn't surprised that she was pulling ahead. I kept my composure though. Always my hook made sure of her flank, slowing her down; I was getting my touches throughout, constantly dragging her into deeper and deeper water. Honestly, I'm not surprised I captured her...I trained to stop her late, and that's just how it happened!"
