Before: Farrell getting the title shot the old fashioned way, moving up the ladder with a series of upsets to get Marceau to the table. Sophie unlike anything Terry's seen before, slick southpaw who can turn slugger in a heartbeat. Bursts of aggression from Sophie could be Terry's best chance to land something as the taller girl has shown decent pop in her victories. Royal blue sports bra to a high neck, matching aerobics bottoms for terry, braid - cloud print sports bra and bikini bottoms for Sophie, long ponytail w/bangs - Paris is the site for the bout.

During R1: Marceau with an unbelievable 30 minute stall finally enters the ring - Farrell bone dry and upset at the gamesmanship. Sophie with her hands low, backhanding jabs into Terry's body to get the range, then getting her legs in behind jolting left hands to the mouth that Farrell can't evade. Midway through the round, Sophie getting off, turning her shoulder and pivoting to her right has Farrell under control - Marceau stepping and slinging the straight left into Terry's face drops the big girl for a sudden 8 count. Farrell looking concerned, Sophie in low - down the stretch it's all Sophie, standing in close with Terry, but supple with the upperbody, bending low, pivoting to the right to cuff the back of Farrell’s head with right hooks, and laying in the slinging left to the mouth from an oblique angle. Terry wobbly butt at the bell, cut on the bottom lip - but at least she's warmed up now.

R2: Terry on her toes, shows Marceau that looong jab, circling left and lashing the punch out as Sophie crouches, rolls and slips outside. Sophie with her right hand at her side, just trying to time Terry and lunge in with the left, but Farrell stays sharp, minimizes the damage in taking the round.

R3: Sophie inching close, able to touch Terry's ribs with the pawing right, and weave under the jab to spank wide left hands off the ribcage, or clapping lefts along Farrell’s jaw. Terry on her heels, trying to get distance - can box in spots, but Sophie is cutting off the ring and coming in off Terry's left shoulder, putting leather together for slick Michael Nunn type combinations, and turning to the right.

R4. Marceau dropping the right hand, coiling the left, turns slugger as she dives in behind whipping lefts, or crouches and explodes with her legs behind every punch. Terry pulling back from the blows doesn't mount much offense, but is effective at blunting Marceau's power this round.

R5: Marceau back to boxing, touching Terry with her right, bending low to make Farrell miss, and countering with her body behind short left hands to the torso and head of the brunette. Farrell stung midway through by a sharp left hand on her mouth - staggers several steps back, but keeps it together to get out of the round. Shutout Sophie Marceau.

R6: Marceau with another good containment round - she's slipping and rolling with Terry's punches and countering with flush connects. Farrell can't seem to get leather on the target, and she's puffing up around the eyes as Marceau continues to nibble away at her.

R7: Farrell feinting the jab, leans into a lead right and drops Sophie to her hands and knees, catching the French girl in the ear as Sophie bends over to slip. Sophie up but wobbly, and Terry able to score some useful straight one-twos to make the French girl look ordinary this round. Marceau backing up, runs most of the round as her head clears.

R8: Sophie fading to the ropes, waves Terry in, and Farrell makes the mistake of obliging. Vintage Marceau, covering up on the ropes, turning her body to accept Farrell’s punches, blocking and slipping masterfully, and punching inside Terry's strokes to chop at Farrell’s face Late in the round, Sophie slips a clipping left and slams a jarring left hand onto the chin of Terry, AND FARRELL GOES DOWN! Terry stunned, on her butt - Sophie stepping over the girl bangs a knee into Terry's face that draws howls of protest from Farrell’s comer - Marceau wiggling out of it by blaming it on 'momentum'. Bell sounds to end the round as Terry looks shaken

R9. Sophie out with hands low, bending her body to drag wide, snapping blows into Terry's chest and face - Farrell trying to box, but getting pre-empted as Marceau hammers her around the ring. Late in the round, Farrell widens her stance, dips under the French girl's sweeping left and counters with a very compact left uppercut to surprise Marceau and SOPHIE GOES DOWN! Marceau on her butt, shell-shocked expression and she is hurt. Marceau beats the count, but immediately fades to the ropes, covering up and rolling as Terry splashes down with hacking lefts and rights to the bell.

R10: Fight getting ugly as Marceau looking determined this round. Both girls puffy and beaten up in the face - Sophie with her hands down, bends at the waist and tries to hurt Terry with every punch out of the crouch. Farrell poking out the jab, right hand at her chin. Suddenly, Sophie dips to her right, slips the jab, steps in and drags the left hand hard to Terry's mouth - FARRELL GOES DOWN! Terry dropping hard to her back, head smacking the canvas and she is OUT! Farrell with fluttering eyes, hands groping, numb legs takes the 10 count as Sophie regards her with that cold glare. KO10 Sophie Marceau.


After: Terry putting the champ down, and applying some hurt, but in the end Sophie retains with an unexpected slugfest over the latter half of the fight. Team Farrell understandably upset with Sophie's antics before and during the contest - but the French are warming to their girl. Marceau the toast of the town after the whack - life's good when you win in Paris.
