Round 1

Lea bursts out of her corner and she’s going after Kara like a raging bull. Jab! That goes to the breast, and that right hook goes to the cheek! Now she gives the Brit a straight left to the eye. Kara’s been caught off guard and reels back towards the ropes. She tries to fight back swinging wildly for Lea's head. Lea slips inside the awkward blows and delivers ripping punishment to Kara's midsection. Kara winces with each blow. A follow-up left uppercut misses Kara's head, which almost reaches the canvas. In less than a minute Lea has floored Kara. The ref pulls Lea away from Kara and sends her to a neutral corner before starting the count. By 'eight!' the girl’s standing and signalling to the ref that she’s able to continue. Kara thrusts her arms under Lea's and clinches in an attempt to get a break. The ref separates them and before Kara can get set Lea takes a step back and blasts Kara's unprotected face with a straight right. Kara's head snaps back and she crumples into the ropes and slides to the canvas on her back, her head propped up on the first rope, her arms laying motionless on the canvas. Lea thinks that the fight’s over, but Kara shakes her head and starts to reach for the ropes above her. At Nine! Kara’s standing, not very steadily, but standing. The end of round one.

Round 2

At the bell for round two, Lea charges out of her corner again. This time Kara’s ready for her. As Lea comes within range, Kara dances to the left. Lea's leading left swipes air and Kara delivers her first good punch of the fight, a left hook that lands flush on Lea's cheek. Kara's follow-up right to the breasts is blocked, but her overhand left to the temple hits squarely! Lea looks surprised, but not hurt in any obvious way. Kara passes up a number of opportunities to counterpunch Lea's undefended face. Just before the bell, Lea has Kara trapped up against the ropes, and Kara has to crouch to cover both her face and body. Even with that, a steaming left uppercut to the lower abdomen staggers Kara. When she lowers her guard Lea smashes a right to the temple and puts Kara down for the third time. Once again Kara is only saved by the bell.

Round 3

Lea comes out for round three. She looks determined to make this Kara's last round standing. Unfortunately for Lea, Kara’s begun to find her stride. By mid-round Lea has slowed considerably and now Kara makes her move. She keeps her distance, lets Lea take a wild swipe and responds by jabbing Lea's undefended face. Initially Lea wasn't bothered by Kara's jabs, but as Lea tires, she’s starting to feel their effect. Lea's face absorbs jab after jab. She’s getting disorientated. Kara's right cross smashes across Lea's jaw, snapping her head around. Lea stumbles forward into a clinch. Lea's nose is bleeding. Lea covers up, doing her best to block Kara's barrage of blows. A very tired Lea succeeds in surviving the round.

Round 4

Energized and ready to fight, Kara meets Lea at mid-ring. She sets to work with regular jabs to the face and hooks to the head and body, but this round Lea seems a much more elusive target. Suddenly, Lea uncoils a powerful left uppercut up into Kara's undefended face. Kara's head snaps back at an awful angle as the punch straightens her up. Her head must be swimming as she staggers back to the ropes and tries to cover up. Kara's vision is blurry and her nose is bleeding, making her breathing difficult. Lea's follow-up right cross snaps Kara's head around as her body falls in a bloody, unconscious heap on the canvas. The referee pushes Lea towards a neutral corner and begins the count. "Nine!.... Ten!.. Out!!" Kara still lays unconscious. A doctor and Kara's seconds entered the ring to attend to her. She’s been badly hurt, but not injured, and Kara’s evening ends as she is carried out of the ring .

"The winner, by a knockout in the fourth round, Lea Seydoux!!!!"
