Before: Jones a slight favorite, but Fox one of those women who nobody really wants to face. Nothing personal in this bout for Janet, she just wants to beat everyone at least once before she's through. Vivica however is more vocal, making the usual trash talk about blondes, glass jaws, and spectacular knockouts, that is traditional pre-fight fare. Janet wears white aerobics two piece, white shoes and gloves. Vivica in pink aerobics two piece, high neck - hair in Independence Day cut.

During: R1,2: The first is a routine feeling out round, Janet establishing her jab, Vivica moving forward, but the bombs get thrown heavy and often in the second. Toe to toe meltdown as Vivica staggers Jones early with a crushing left hook, then pounces, stepping to the right and nailing the reeling blonde with repeated right uppercuts and left hooks to the face. Shooting her bolt a little early, Vivica runs out of gas, and Jones starts to wade in, swinging wide lefts and rights to bust up Fox in the final minute. Vivica is battered the length of the ring, and her legs are trembling as she sags into the ropes. Hands out front, Vivica seems to plead as Jones lashes away with looping lefts and rights to the bell.

R3: Janet continues strong, steering Vivica with piston left jabs, then coming over Fox's left with a crushing right on the chin. Viv's front leg comes off the canvas as she soaks it up, but Jones goes to her flanks with those long armed body shots, wearing the brunette down. Viv sucks it up and comes back with short hooks inside Janet's punches, and has the blonde backing up. Round scored a draw as Fox recovers nicely.

R4: Janet's found an angle for that lancing right hand, piling it on Vivica's jaw early, and once again Fox digs herself a hole (no pun intended.)

R5 More deliberate action as the girls step around one another, looking to land single shots. Jones dictates with her laser jab, tapping the eyes and lips of her foe at will. In the final minute, Jones bends into that right hand once again, banging Vivica's head around with another satisfying impact.

R6, 7: Vivica fights off Janet's chest this round, leaning on the blonde and seeming to surprise her with intermittent clouts to the jaw. Jones doing a lot of clinching and covering up, gives away the rounds as the girls sway cheek to cheek.

R8: Jones continues to lay inside, and the girls trade one-twos to the midsection for a minute. Finally, Vivica breaks the stalemate, lifting Janet's head off her (Vivica's) shoulder with a short right uppercut to get the blonde moving backwards. Jones hurt, but fights well in retreat, walks Vivica into some right hands as she retreats.

R9: Vivica comes out hands low, and STARCHES Jones with a looping overhand right, bending down and in with the punch as Jones’s upperbody seems to wilt on her hips. Viv comes out of her crouch to swing away with wide lefts and rights and Jones staggers back drunkenly. On the ropes, Jones fights brilliantly, holding Viv behind the head, twirling loose uppercuts in arcs with both hands, then spinning off the ropes behind a clouting left hook to the ear. Putting Vivian on the ropes, Janet goes to her flanks with shuddering blows, then comes up the middle with lanky uppercuts AND VIVICA IS HURT!! Fox' eyes go blank as she soaks up Jones' power, and the toe go hammer and tongs to the bell. Vivica pushing her punches pathetically, convincing the ref not to stop it as Jones cranks that Oscar left hook to the bell.

R10: Vivica has nothing left and Jones shuts her out this round. Janet is clearly fatigued, and seems content to poke at Vivica with her jab, safety first from bell to bell. Fox seems very disappointed at the bell, as Jones is awarded the unanimous decision.

After: Jones is very complimentary to Fox afterwards, admitting Vivica had her hurt on several occasions. Inactivity may have cost Vivica that little edge she needed in this fight. Jones ability to rally a crucial factor in pulling out the expectedly tough contest
