Before: Title rematch taking place in Montreal after a rough brawl in France saw Sophie strip Terry of her belt. Girls very professional about the choices made in the first fight - both chose to rough the other up as the result of calculated analysis, neither altogether satisfied with the results as each sustained more punishment than expected. Sophie in black push up, pink bikini bottoms, Terry in royal blue sports bra, yellow athletic bikini bottoms slick ponytail.

During R1: Both girls out boxing and slickster southpaw Sophie bamboozles her orthodox counterpart with pretty upper body movement setting up clean counters from bell to bell. Sophie loose limbed, pointing her right shoulder at Terry, bending at the waist under Farrell's blows and sticking Terry with straight left hands to the tummy and face. Shutout Marceau - she struts expressionless to her corner as Terry looks frustrated.

R2: Terry getting good advice, doubling and tripling up on the jab, gets Sophie bending over and waiting for openings rather than punching. Farrell stepping to her left, flicking and stabbing jabs isn't hurting the champ, but she's containing Marceau and keeping her output down. Marceau doing a lot of slipping, slaps the odd right hook wide, or shoots the occasional straight left hands, but she looks like she's coasting - she takes nothing out of Terry this round.

R3,4: More tactical action - Farrell pumping jabs, some of them stinging, some of them just meant to make Sophie move rather than punch. Marceau patient, slipping left and right behind that right shoulder, but not pulling the trigger often enough. Meanwhile Farrell works Marceau to the ropes, but doesn't follow her in, backing away to mid ring rather than press, drawing boos from a pro-Marceau crowd that is getting restless.

R5: Marceau not backing away so much now - she slips a punch in order to answer and she starts finding Terry gut more often with slinging left hands and Farrell ear with wide cuffing right hooks. Sophie painting Terry, then swiveling around her lead foot to a new angle - Farrell forced to re-jig and Marceau is countering savagely under the brunette's jab to the bony ribcage. Shutout Marceau, sends Teri grimacing back to her corner from some pinpoint shots to the body and head.

R6: Sophie stepping it up, right shoulder pointed to Terry, right hand at her side, left hand coiled. Terry jabbing dutifully, but she's wary as Marceau continues to bash rib underneath every other stick from Farrell. Terry's jab output drops to zero by the midway point and Marceau starts to work closer, slipping low under Farrell's hook, and slicing in that straight left hand that lands awkwardly on Terry's face. Farrell on her heels, starts to lose form and midway through, Farrell looks right, second guesses and Sophie rifles the left hand straight down the pike. Head snap Terry - Farrell's legs spasm and Terry pitches in a sprawl to land awkwardly on her side. Farrell like a broken doll on the canvas, trying to push herself up off her side as Marceau looks down and the ref tolls 10. KO6 Sophie Marceau in spectacular fashion.

After: Farrell, really, really hurt by this punch, is several minutes getting to her stool, and then escorted from the ring under the watchful eye of her trainers and ringside physician. Marceau timing the KO perfectly, catching Teri double clutching and nailing her flush with that Camacho Junior delivery - pretty to watch when it works. Sophie puts Teri behind her this time with a decisive victory, and continues to pose a problem to HBO poobahs and North American promoters alike who aren't happy with a difficult, independent minded foreigner in charge of the belts who can't be counted on to play ball.
