BEFORE:

"What everyone has been saying is true," says a smiling Carrie. "This IS Carrie 2.0. And Carrie 2.0 is about to prove she's better than the the same old Amanda Seyfried!"

"Carrie 2.0," says Amanda with a shake of the head. "She gets one win and it's a huge story. Well, I'll save the boxing press some trouble. There won't be any story tonight, except the one everyone with any sense expects: 'Seyfried KO's Underwood.'"

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "We're back at ringside and that's 'Good Girl' you hear, and here comes the singer of said tune, the lovely Carrie Underwood..."

McCarthy: "And The Weirdo may have made a mistake in his typical Tomato Can booking of opponents. Carrie showed something the last time out. She's not going to be a pushover..."

Tess: "Carrie also representing DBC, and she's wasting no time getting to the ring, Jenny..."

O'Dell: "She is not. Quickly up the steps and inside, helped off with the robe by the DBC corner to reveal a hunter green bikini..."

McCarthy: "Not a Playmate body..."

Cassie: "Because it's not filled with silicone..."

McCarthy: "Shut it, Scabbo..."

O'Dell: "And that's 'Mama Mia' booming through the arena, and here comes the singer of THAT song, 'The Assassin', Amanda Seyfried..."

McCarthy: "Are you bouncing to the music, Walmart? You're supposed to HATE ABBA..."

Tess: "No, I'm trying to keep my stomach from turning over..."

O'Dell: "Amanda into the ring, helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that yellow bikini she likes, and we're about ready. Let's get some picks. Tess favors Amanda. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Like I said, Weirdo made a mistake on this one. Underwood isn't great, but she's not an automatic out. Underwood gets the win and sends Seyfried out the door. Maybe Sceej will pick her up. A REAL trainer could get something out of the kid..."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "So, we have a split court. Let's see who's right. Seyfried aggressive early as usual, looking to close and bang. Carrie having none of it. Circling right, away from Amanda's power, popping jabs. Underwood showing excellent feet here."

Cassie: "No question about it. Carrie showed how effective she can be against a straight ahead fighter when she beat Shakira. I don't think Amanda's going to have success just boring in on Underwood."

O'Dell: "Well, she isn't so far. Carrie's definitely calling the tune, using the left jab to preempt Seyfried, making space for the right follow. Amanda mostly just chasing, and not having any success running Underwood to ground."

McCarthy: "See, Carrie's an example of what can happen when a fighter gets proper training. She bounced around, didn't have regular work or consistent training advice. Now that she's got it, she looks like a different fighter."

O'Dell: "And she's a plenty effective one, at least in this first round. Underwood popping that jab, not allowing Amanda to get set. Final seconds tick away and it's a first round shutout to Carrie."

Tess: "10-9, Underwood. Good start for Carrie 2.0."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round underway and we're seeing the same pattern. Seyfried in pursuit, looking to close and bang. Underwood not having any. Circling, jabbing, stopping long enough to land a flurry, then getting out of Dodge."

Cassie: "It's early, but I'm pretty impressed by what I'm seeing from Carrie. She's moving very well. Very accurate with the jab."

O'Dell: "Certainly is. Stopping Amanda in her tracks with it. Controlling her with it...AND DROPPING HER WITH A RIGHT HAND! Underwood a short right hook follow and down goes Seyfried..."

McCarthy: "They're going to be cleaning this girl's locker out tonight, just like I said!"

O'Dell: "Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Six. Amanda to her feet at seven. Referee gives her the mandatory and will let it continue. Carrie right back to work. Amanda in full retreat, backed up into the ropes as Carrie goes to work. Underwood letting the hands go. Not going all in, but scoring with both hands. Seyfried tying up, covering up, trying to run clock, can't do much else as Carrie's got the clean up going."

Tess: "This IS a different Carrie Underwood. She's not acting like the underdog and going all in to try to get the stoppage. She's under control, taking her points."

O'Dell: "She is, indeed, and she's dominating the round right to the bell. A second straight shutout for Underwood."

Tess: "And a 20-17 lead after two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third round underway and Underwood right back to work. Carrie lasering that jab home. Keeping Amanda at bay with it. Seyfried doing next to nothing. Not getting off. Just plodding after Underwood and taking a face full of leather for her troubles."

Cassie: "She's really in rhythm right now. Seyfried has to do something to break this up. Carrie looks like she's on cruise control, having everything her way."

O'Dell: "No question Seyfried needs to do something, because Underwood is making her look just short of helpless. Carrie in total control with that left hand and the good feet. Circling. Stopping. Popping. Right back to movement. Amanda looking more than a little frustrated right now..."

McCarthy: "Got to wonder if there's something wrong with this kid. Did they overtrain her? Did she get hurt in training?"

O'Dell: "Carrie reverses motion, lands a combination, reverses back, sticks home a left/right. Underwood just dominating Seyfried down the stretch. Final seconds tick away and there's the bell. A third straight shutout round for Carrie 2.0."

Tess: "30-26. A big lead for Underwood just three rounds in."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth underway with Seyfried cutting the ring and landing her first good flurry of the fight. Underwood quickly back to open canvas. Amanda working to close again, but Carrie not having it. Back to the jab, sticking it home, slowing Amanda down with it, following with a flurry, circling away."

McCarthy: "Seyfried's just being MANAGED here. Carrie's keeping her right where she wants her. This is some excellent boxing from Underwood."

O'Dell: "Agreed, Mac. She's right back in control after the brief Seyfried uprising. Carrie busy. Accurate. Effective. Amanda continuing to pursue, but can't get anything done."

Cassie: "What you worry about in the Front Street corner now is your girl getting discouraged. Haven't seen any signs of it yet, but this is the kind of stuff that can cause it."

O'Dell: "Carrie really has it going now. The left ranging in. Stopping Amanda. Getting to her spot, landing, and then gone before Seyfried can counter. Seyfried not hurt, but completely ineffective. And once again, it's Carrie in control to the bell."

Tess: "40-35. Five points and it feels like 50."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth round underway and a GOOD flurry from Carrie! Underwood wobbled Seyfried with that last right hand and now Carrie's going all in!"

McCarthy: "Smelling blood in the water, and she should be!"

O'Dell: "Underwood driving Amanda back into the ropes, landing with both hands! Good right sends Seyfried wobbling along the ropes. Underwood just letting them go now. Seyfried ROCKED again by a left hook! She stumbles to her left...AND CARRIE DROPS HER WITH A RIGHT HAND!"

Cassie: "This might be over..."

O'Dell: "Referee's count at four. Five. Six. Seven. Amanda to her feet at eight. Referee going to give her the mandatory and allow it to continue. Carrie right back after Amanda. Seyfried in a tight guard along the ropes. Underwood banging shots off Amanda's gloves. Seyfried lands a counter. Ties Carrie up..."

Tess: "Underwood a little arm weary, Mac?"

McCarthy: "Looks like it. She's slowing down and that's allowing Amanda to counter some and run clock."

O'Dell: "Amanda tying up again, girls wrestling in the clinch as the final seconds tick off. There's the bell ending the fifth. Another big round for Carrie."

Tess: "50-43. Carrie's all but got this one won."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth round begins and Carrie seems to be revived. She's right after Amanda, who's giving ground in the face of some serious offense from Underwood. Seyfried countering in spots, but Underwood has the range and she's landing some solid shot."

McCarthy: "Carrie getting more aggressive as the fight goes on. She's not being careless, but she's beginning to think Amanda doesn't pose much of a danger, and I don't disagree with that."

O'Dell: "Underwood lining Seyfried up. Amanda again countering in spots, but she's mainly just catching some serious leather and UNDERWOOD ROCKS HER AGAIN! Left hook...AND DOWN GOES SEYFRIED AFTER A GOOD RIGHT HAND!"

Cassie: "Carrie really timed that one. Landed it flush on the chin."

O'Dell: "Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Seyfried to her feet at eight. Referee looking closely as he gives her the mandatory. He's going to let it continue. Underwood right back to work. Unhurried now. Jabbing Amanda to the ropes, snapping back the head with a left and banging home a right to the cheek. Again, Seyfried holding on, tying up, running clock. Final seconds evaporate and Amanda's survived again, but yet another dominant round for Carrie."

McCarthy: "This is starting to remind me of what we saw LAST Sunday, with Seyfried playing the role of the Broncos..."

Tess: "60-51. Underwood's salted this away barring a stoppage."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh round underway and Carrie aggressively after Amanda. Underwood looking to put Seyfried away right now. Carrie landing solid stuff. Amanda fighting in counter...and DROPS UNDERWOOD WITH A RIGHT HOOK!"

McCarthy: "What is this girl DOING in there? This fight is OVER. You don't need to try to finish!"

O'Dell: "Seyfried to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Underwood to her feet at eight. Referee gives her the mandatory and waives Amanda forward. Seyfried right after Carrie, firing away with both hands and Carrie banging right back! Neither fighter giving an inch as they go at it in the middle of the ring..."

Cassie: "Give Underwood credit for compete and grit here. Not going to let Amanda clean up..."

O'Dell: "Underwood now back to movement. Seems to have the legs back. Making Seyfried chase. Amanda cutting the ring some now, landing some good shots. Carrie firing right back, then slipping away to open canvas. Seyfried dogged, still working as the final seconds tick off and that's the seventh. Seyfried on the board, but still well behind."

Tess: "68-61 with three to go. Good round for Amanda, but it may amount to nothing more than Manning's TD down 36-0."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "We begin the eighth with Seyfried the aggressor. She's after Underwood, chasing her down, cutting her off and banging away with power. Carrie tying up, trying to slip away and get some space. Seyfried crowding...AND STAGGERS CARRIE WITH A RIGHT HAND!"

McCarthy: "This girl needs to stop brawling and RUN! Make her go into about the fourth row to get you!"

O'Dell: "Underwood in retreat now. Amanda going all in, backing Carrie into the ropes and firing away. Carrie clinching, covering up, guard high. The body's on sale, but Amanda ignoring it, staying upstairs..."

Tess: "Unless you can stop a girl to the body like Neve, it may be too late to invest down there."

O'Dell: "That appears to be Amanda's thinking. Seyfried banging shots off the gloves. Carrie firing back now, fighting grimly in counter. And here we go! Some crisp exchanges as both girls let them go! Nothing subtle or artful about what's happening now! It's a blizzard of leather in the final seconds and both girls are upright when the bell rings, which is a win for Underwood!"

Cassie: "Definitely. Amanda gets the round, but it's only her second. It's 77-71 with two to go. There can't be any good news for Seyfried if this goes to the cards. But give Amanda credit. There's no quit in her."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Round nine of a scheduled ten and Amanda Seyfried looking every bit the girl who needs the stoppage. She's coming right after Carrie, heck with the torpedoes! Underwood backing and circling...AND SHE ROCKS SEYFRIED WITH A RIGHT HAND!"

Cassie: "Walked her right into it. Very nicely done. Knows what Amanda has to do and took full advantage."

O'Dell: "Underwood looking to finish now, flat footed, banging home left hands, backing Amanda up, loading up on the right. Seyfried backed to the ropes, covering up as Carrie's reversed what we saw last round."

McCarthy: "I REPEAT: fourth row!"

O'Dell: "Carrie a good right and now Amanda firing back in counter! Seyfried fights her way off the ropes and backs up Underwood! Carrie not going to hang in there. Getting on the horse and circling behind the jab. Amanda working to cut the ring, having some success, scoring with some flurries to the bell. But, again, the round ends with both girls on their feet. And, this time Carrie wins it."

Tess: "87-80 with one to go."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "Tenth and final begins with Underwood back to movement. Carrie in great shape, still has the legs in the final round. Circling behind the left. Seyfried trying to cut and close but having no success..."

McCarthy: "This is what Carrie should have been doing since about the sixth round. No need to get in there and slug. Box and win on the cards."

O'Dell: "And that's clearly the plan in this final round. Carrie again using the jab to manage Amanda. Seyfried continuing to try to pressure, knows she needs something big, but Carrie touching her up, slowing her down, scoring and moving."

Cassie: "Again, give Seyfried credit for compete, but Underwood not going to allow any tenth round miracles."

O'Dell: "She most certainly is not. Underwood has established control with that jab again, and she's outboxing Amanda as the final seconds tick away. There's the bell and Carrie is over the moon, running to her corner, leaping up and down, what a great performance for Carrie 2.0!"

Tess: "And, on the other side, Amanda disconsolate. Lost eight of ten rounds, several via shutout. Ends up eight points down. In a fight she was favored to win."

O'Dell: "No surprise as the decision is announced. 98-90 for your winner by UD10, Carrie Underwood!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Carrie Underwood, and, Carrie, super performance tonight. This has to be the biggest win of your career..."

Carrie: "It is, Tess. It is. But, only so far! There are going to be others that are even bigger. I made a statement tonight, and that statement is that Carrie 2.0 is for real. And, if anyone didn't get the message, I'll be happy to demonstrate in the ring!"
