Before: Stone coaxes Angela out of retirement for an undisclosed sum, prompting one scribe to quip: "What's she (Stone) gonna do? Challenge her to a math test?" Sharon a big underdog in this one, a remarkable fact since she is co-promoter and lead underwriter of the event. Bassett wears pink tights and pink jogbra, Stone wears black 2 piece aerobics wear.

During R1: Sharon meets Angela at center ring, and immediately covers up as Bassett tests the body early. Angela hurls hooks to the ribs and head in steady rhythm, and seconds into the round, clubs Sharon to the canvas with a series of these combinations. Stone on one hip, smacks the canvas in frustration, and easily beats the count. She goes on to give a good account, boxing the shorter woman the rest of the way behind a slapping, defensive jab.

R2: Stone retreats to the ropes and waves Angela in, a contract to which Angela eagerly agrees, and Basset soon sets up on wide spread legs to hammer at the torso of the blonde. Stone much cagier this round, using the ropes, blocking punches with her elbows, and holding Angela behind the head. Midway through the round, Stone pulls Angela's head down and uppercuts her repeatedly with biting right hands to the eye, and Bassett stops punching. Angela still bulling into Stone with her shoulder and head, but she's clearly hurt, and Sharon continues to use holding and hitting to stun Bassett.

R3: Stone retreats to the ropes once again, luring Angela forward, and once again, Basset accepts the challenge. This time, Angela overwhelms Sharon , loading up on wide Ken Norton hooks to the belly that rob Sharon of her legs early, and pile up mileage throughout the round. At the midway point, with Angela digging furiously to the gut of Stone, Sharon slips to one knee with a grimace betraying the strain. Sharon beats the count slowly, and continues to cover up on the ropes, countering only tepidly to the bell.

R4: Sharon looks weary as she waves Angela in once again. Basset takes her time, pushing Stone deep into the ropes, loading up on single shots, and ignoring Sharon 's clipping uppercuts and chopping hooks on the inside. Angela puts her forehead on Sharon 's chest and simply beats the fight out of Stone. By the final minute, Stone is stooped forward, hands loose in front of her, as Angela pounds her fists into the jaw and ribs without receipt. With seconds left in the round a dazed and battered Sharon Stone slips to the canvas to all fours - KO Angela Basset

After: Sharon soaks up another tremendous beating, but the event is a success, making her one of the few celebrities to effectively control the value chain produced by her own blood sweat and tears. Angela ambiguous about retirement, but states "If nobody will fight me, I'm not going to just hang around."
