BEFORE:

"You know," says Alyson, shaking her head, "I spent two years taking on all comers for HISC. I went out and beat up Michelle Williams and won them a title. Then I splattered Gellar all over the mat for the fanboys and whipped Kreuk's butt. I won 63 percent of my fights for them, and they kicked me to the curb! And THIS girl? She wins FIVE out of NINETEEN fights, and she gets TRADED to a stable with its own monthly HBO show and its own TV network! Well, Front Street made a mistake bringing me here for her debut fight. Because I'm going to whip her a**!"

"This is a pretty big night for me, no doubt," says Leighton with a lovely smile. "I know what the haters are saying. They all want me to fall on my face tonight. Well, I've got news for them. I'm going to prove Front Street was right to trade for me, and I'm going to start by dealing with Hannigan."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "We're back at ringside and that's 'Alyson Hannigan' by Juvenile Wreck you hear, and here comes the lady that song was written about, former flyweight champion Alyson Hannigan!"

McCarthy: "A., this song is creepy. And, B., I'm WAY hotter than her, why hasn't anyone written a song about ME?"

Cassie: "Well, as I recall, Frank and Nancy Sinatra did a song called 'Something Stupid'. THAT might have been about you..."

McCarthy: "Shut up, Scabbo!"

O'Dell(sighing): "Aaannnddddd, we're officially underway. Hannigan into the ring, helped off with the robe by her handlers to reveal a still-excellent body in a green and white bikini...showing off some of the St. Patty's Day spirit..."

McCarthy: "Waaaayyyy too light on top to be a Playmate, but not bad..."

O'Dell: "And that's 'Somebody To Love' booming through the arena, and here comes the lady who sings that tune, the newest member of Front Street, 'The Marco Island Mauler', Leighton Meester!"

McCarthy: "That's NOT 'Somebody To Love'! I KNOW that song! It goes..."

O'Dell: "Don't sing..."

McCarthy(singing): "'Don't you want somebody to love? Don't you need somebody to love? Wouldn't you love somebody to love? You better find somebody to loooooovvvvvveeeeeeeee..."

Tess: "Mac, the truck is asking that you stop singing, as you're damaging the audio equipment..."

McCarthy: "I happen to have a LOVELY singing voice..."

Cassie: "Then what was THAT?"

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Scabbo! And you, too, Walmart!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, and, just to correct the record, the song IS 'Somebody To Love', but it is not the same song as the one done by Jefferson Airplane. This one was sung by Ms. Meester and Robin Thicke..."

McCarthy: "I loved him on 'Family Ties'..."

Tess: "Wait, that was...and the show...there's a bingo square in there somewhere..."

McCarthy: "What ARE you babbling about, Walmart?"

O'Dell(sighing): "Leighton into the ring and take a look at the Front Street corner. Not just Jewel and Neve in there to greet Leighton..."

Cassie: "Looks like Front Street's embattled flyweight division is presenting a united front, as Kristen Stewart and Kat Graham, also wearing green for the occasion, are in the ring in support of their stablemate."

O'Dell: "Leighton slaps glove to hand with both Graham and Stewart..."

Tess: "And the fans will notice the gloves are green, as all the ladies will be wearing green gloves tonight..."

O'Dell: "And, as her fellow flys climb down and take seats at ringside, Leighton is helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal a pink and red number and an excellent body of her own, and, it's about time for some picks. Tess favors Leighton. What do you think, Mac?"

McCarthy: "Meester was a failure at Lookout! And, with Front Street's incompetent trainers and management, she certainly hasn't landed at a stable that can turn her around. I think Hannigan beats her and sends the entire, overrated, underachieving Front Street flyweight division packing!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

McCarthy: "Give her a cracker!"

O'Dell(sighing): "Ladies ready to go, and there's the bell. Hannigan coming out quickly, working off the left hand, dropping in rights and backing Meester up. Alyson extremely aggressive early..."

McCarthy: "This is what you do against a girl who's in a slump. You go right after her, dent that fragile confidence. I like this strategy."

O'Dell: "Hannigan continuing to attack. Meester working in counter now, landing some good, hard shots in response. Leighton holding her ground, answering Hannigan's flurries with effective fire of her own, slowing Alyson down a little now."

Cassie: "And this is how you deal with a girl who wants to get overly aggressive. You ring her up a couple of times."

O'Dell: "Meester slowly turning the tide as we head into the final minute of the opening stanza. Leighton now putting punches together very well, has Hannigan on the defensive. Alyson a crafty veteran, dodging and ducking, but Meester scoring with both hands down the stretch. Hannigan now being backed up as the final seconds tick off. There's the bell, and a good start to her Front Street career for Leighton Meester."

Tess: "Got to like how she responded to Hannigan's early aggression. She took the points and leads 10-9."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round begins with a complete turnabout as it's Meester aggressive early. Leighton's found the range on Alyson and is scoring well with both hands here. Hannigan again on the defensive, being forced backward, spending a lot of time covering up..."

Cassie: "Leighton has a quickness advantage, and she's making good use of it. Beating Hannigan to punches right now."

O'Dell: "Veteran Alyson looking to counter now, willing to let Meester fight lead. Leighton more than willing to do it, putting punches together very well...AND HANNIGAN ROCKS HER WITH A RIGHT HAND!"

McCarthy: "Great counter from Alyson! Waited and waited on that right until she got the opening she wanted!"

O'Dell: "And Alyson going to work now, backing Meester up. Leighton covering up and giving ground as Hannigan goes clean up. Alyson getting a lot behind her shots now, taking her time, not rushing..."

Tess: "Veteran stuff, Mac?"

McCarthy: "Absolutely. She's not going crazy and missing a bunch of stuff and burning energy. She's taking her points, looking for openings. If something big comes, it comes."

O'Dell: "Waning seconds of the round and Meester managing to avoid the ropes, but she's taking quite a bit of leather. Alyson patient and effective, lands one more solid flurry at the bell. Great roun for Hannigan, who flashes a lovely smile on the way back to the corner."

Tess: "She's tied it at 19 through two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third round starts with another 180, as Hannigan's back to being the aggressor. Alyson working a good left hand for points, creating space for right hand follows. Meester playing defense, willing to give ground."

Cassie: "Leighton's still buzzed here, I think."

O'Dell: "May well be. She's being plenty conservative, keeping the hands high, not doing a whole lot. Hannigan trying to force the pace, getting some of her punches picked off, but scoring with others. Not doing any serious damage, except on the scoreboard."

McCarthy: "Hannigan getting more aggressive as the round goes on, sensing that Meester isn't right yet and taking advantage. Nothing wild. Very controlled. But, again, very effective."

O'Dell: "No question about it. Leighton slick with her movement, staying off the ropes despite the fact that the legs aren't all the way back yet, making Hannigan work to score, but Alyson willing to put the effort in and it's paying off. Hannigan in complete control as the final seconds tick away. There's the bell, and Alyson has her first lead of the night."

Tess: "29-28 through three."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth round begins with more aggression from Alyson and this time Leighton answers in kind and here we go! Hannigan and Meester having at it in the center of the ring, and neither lady willing to back up a step!"

McCarthy: "I love rounds like this! This is where fights can be won and lost. One girl trying to impose will and the other girl not having it."

O'Dell: "They're toe to toe and letting the leather fly. Alyson trying to back Leighton up, but Meester not going to punk, the Front Street flyweight cheering section is out of their seats and letting her know they like the idea."

Cassie: "Neither girl thinking about body work, either. This is all upstairs stuff, and it's all about, 'That was a good one, but here's a BETTER one.'"

O'Dell: "And, believe it or not, the pace is picking up as we head down the stretch! The two ladies winging away off their back feet, putting everything into the punches in an effort to create a backward step, and neither able to do it. Final seconds tick off with a huge exchange that sends sweat flying from both girls. There's the bell and they're still going! Ref quickly between them and sends them back to their corners! Great round and very close. Meester, I think."

Tess: "Agreed, but I wouldn't want to be counting on this one when the judges tally the cards. 38-38 on our cards after four."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Into the fifth now and Meester landing with a sharp combination to start the festivities. Hannigan giving a little ground now as Leighton advances behind the left."

McCarthy: "Meester earned herself some respect in that last round, I think. Hannigan being a little more cautious in the fifth."

O'Dell: "Leighton working to push the pace, finding the target with that left to set up the hard right crosses. Hannigan fighting mainly in counter, circling, retreating, as Meester's finding a pretty solid rhythm right now."

Cassie: "I like what Leighton's doing here. Alyson a little more defensive, so now's the time to be more aggressive."

O'Dell: "Hannigan moving and Meester chasing. Leighton very accurate and effective right now. Squaring Alyson up and getting off, scoring as Hannigan covers up. Alyson slips back and away, but Leighton quickly lines her up and scores again. This is good, slick stuff from Meester who's been in control since the opening bell. Final seconds tick off, and Meester has the lead at the half way point."

Tess: "48-47, but, with one round up for grabs and five to go, anyone's fight."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth begins with Meester again on the offensive, but Alyson now the one standing her ground. Hannigan lands a good right hand in that exchange and got Meester's attention. Leighton now backed up with a blistering flurry from the former champion!"

Cassie: "Good left hook in there may have buzzed Meester!"

O'Dell: "And Alyson's far from finished. Hannigan backs Leighton up with another solid flurry! Alyson now the one doing the squaring and landing solid shot. Leighton being backed up repeatedly now."

McCarthy: "Meester doing too much covering up. She's got to get off, even if it's just in counter. She's giving Alyson back control of the fight."

O'Dell: "Or, maybe Hannigan's just taking it. The former champ the one in rhythm now, and she's not just scoring, she's landing with power. Meester still able to avoid the ropes, but she's being forced into a non-fighting retreat, keeping the gloves high and tight, unable to get over to the offensive as Hannigan gives her a thumping from bell to bell here in the sixth. Final seconds tick off and Alyson has the shutout."

Tess: "And we're all even again at 57."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "We're into the seventh now and Meester on her bicycle to start this one off..."

Tess: "I think she was hurt in that last round, Jenny, more than maybe we realized..."

McCarthy: "I think you're right, Walmart, and it looks like she still is. She's not willing to engage, making Hannigan chase..."

O'Dell: "And Alyson more than willing to do that. Hannigan coming forward in good order, scoring with ones and twos, but unable to put punches together as Meester's keeping the engagements short, using her legs and the ring to prevent any all-out battles..."

Cassie: "But Alyson's slick, getting points in the skirmishes..."

O'Dell: "She is, indeed. Getting off quickly then moving to reset. Leighton fighting a bit more in counter now as the round rolls on, but still unwilling to allow a full-scale engagement. Alyson patient, taking what's there, building up points as we head down the stretch..."

Cassie: "Hannigan hounding Meester even in the final seconds. She's got the round, but this is psychological, staying after her until the final bell..."

O'Dell: "And there it is. Seventh is over, and Alyson Hannigan has the round and the lead."

Tess: "67-66 for the former champ."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "The eighth begins with Hannigan advancing again. This time Meester's standing her ground, has the legs back and is willing to engage. Alyson a quick flurry, but Leighton fires right back, forcing Hannigan to cover up. Alyson misses with a left hook and Meester another solid combination that sends sweat flying from Alyson's head..."

Tess: "You know, this has been a pretty good fight, gang..."

O'Dell: "Most certainly has, it's gone back and forth several times and now it's Leighton once again beginning to turn the tide...AND HANNIGAN LANDS THAT SHORT RIGHT HAND OFF THE COUNTER AND MEESTER'S HURT AGAIN!"

McCarthy: "Same one she used in the second, just kept waiting on it until it was there."

O'Dell: "Hannigan now going right to work, backing Meester up with a barrage of leather. Leighton back to using the legs, giving ground, circling, staying off the ropes as Hannigan tries to trap her on them..."

Cassie: "Hannigan's landed some heavy shot tonight, but Meester's legs have passed every test so far..."

O'Dell: "And they're working well enough to keep her out of serious trouble now. Hannigan IS landing and she IS scoring, definitely consolidating, but she hasn't been able to pin Leighton down. Meester legging out the round as we run through the final seconds, and there's the bell. Meester survives it."

Tess: "But Hannigan extends the lead. It's 77-75 with two to go, and the lead may be larger on some of the cards, depending on how the judges saw the fourth."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Ninth round begins with Hannigan looking for the finisher. Alyson advancing and going to work and meeting spirited resistance from Leighton. Meester banging right back and it's on, as the two flyweights are back to firing away toe to toe!"

Cassie: "Leighton has to know she's in a hole and she's fighting like it, refusing to give ground."

O'Dell: "That she is. Leighton digging in her heels and giving as good as she's getting. Hannigan angling now, landing good shots, but Meester moving her own feet well, returning fire effectively. Alyson refusing to stop the offensive, looking to take Meester out of here, but Leighton's not going to go quietly."

McCarthy: "Hannigan trying to dig out this round. If she can do it, she's in command on the cards."

O'Dell: "And Leighton not willing to allow it, digging deep, staying in Hannigan's face and trading bombs with the former champion. Down the stretch we come and the two flyweights are still banging away. Final seconds tick off, there's the bell and again they're still going! Referee jumps between them for the second time and sends them back to their corners. Another close one."

McCarthy: "I gave it to Meester, but it's another one that could go either way."

Tess: "If the judges' cards are the same as ours, it's 86-85 Alyson going into the final round, but with two rounds that could have gone either way, this thing could be out of reach for Leighton."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "The tenth and final now underway and Alyson Hannigan going to work with the left hand, using that jab both to score and set up right hands. Meester slipping and angling, hooking the body in response. Hannigan scoring again with the left and Meester lands a solid right hand."

McCarthy: "Hanningan staying busy, not conceding anything to Meester, just in case it's as close as it could be."

O'Dell: "Alyson a solid flurry...AND MEESTER DROPS HER WITH A RIGHT HAND! HANNIGAN IS DOWN OFF A STRAIGHT RIGHT FROM MEESTER!"

Cassie: "Timed it over the left. Perfect."

O'Dell: "Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Hannigan to her feet at eight. Takes the mandatory. Referee going to allow it to continue, and Leighton is all in for the stoppage..."

McCarthy: "Has to be. Turn around either of those close ones, and she needs it."

O'Dell: "Leighton backs Alyson into the ropes and goes to work. Meester head hunting in a big way as Hannigan leans back into the ropes in a high, tight guard. Leighton splits the gloves with a left hand, does it again. Alyson hanging on as the final seconds tick off. Meester a big right hand! Leighton throwing everything she has at the former champ as the round slips away, loading up trying to take Hannigan out before she runs out of time..."

Cassie: "Fifteen seconds!"

O'Dell: "Meester pouring on the leather. Hannigan hanging on...AND IT'S OVER! IT'S OVER! REFEREE STOPS IT WITH SIX SECONDS LEFT! MEESTER PULLS IT OUT!"

Tess: "What a finish! What a refuse-to-lose effort from Front Street's newest flyweight!"

McCarthy: "What are YOU pointing at, Scabbo?"

Tess: "I DO believe Ms. Scerbo may be pointing to the Owner's Box and MAKING a point about the future of Front Street's flyweight division..."

O'Dell: "All of which is in the ring with Stewart and Graham congratulating your winner by TKO10, 'The Marco Island Mauler', Leighton Meester."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Leighton Meester, and, Leighton, quite a comeback tonight..."

Leighton: "I knew she had me in a hole going into the last round, but I knew I still had three minutes left to get her, and three minutes can be a long time in boxing. I didn't quit. I just kept after her and I got her."

Tess: "Your stablemates seemed pretty happy about it..."

Leighton: "Well, it's a rough time for our division at Front Street, so we're giving one another support. I was glad to have it, and I needed it."
