BEFORE:

"Allison Mack," says Billie with a hard look. "I remember our fight in 2008. I was beating her when the referee stopped the fight. I could have gone on and I'd have won the fight easily, because I'm better than she is. And I can't wait to prove it."

"I'm not sure Billie remembers our fight at all," says Allison with a shake of the head. "Especially if she thinks she was winning it. But, I'm not surprised. I suspect she doesn't remember much about that night, if you know what I mean. And she's about ready to have another little hole in her memory."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Because We Want To' you hear, and that can only mean the singer of that tune, the lovely Billie Piper, is on her way to the ring..."

Cassie: "Piper, of course, represents Lookout! Atlantic..."

McCarthy: "I REMEMBER her first fight with Mack The Fraud! It was a typical Front Street screwjob! Piper was well ahead and the referee stopped that fight with Weirdo's money hanging out of his back pocket..."

Tess: "Um, Mack was solidly ahead on all three judges' cards when that fight was stopped..."

McCarthy: "Just proves Weirdo bought the judges, too!"

Tess: "Not sure why he'd do that, since at the time of the fight, Allison was a member of The A-Team...and Front Street was TWO YEARS FROM BEING FORMED..."

McCarthy: "Don't try to defend him! He's dirty and he was behind it!"

Cassie: "Mac, if your morning bowl of Cheerios gets soggy, do you think Uncle Wiz is behind THAT, too?"

McCarthy: "I don't EAT Cheerios! I like Fruit Loops..."

Tess: "Wait for it..."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, BOTH OF YOU!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys. Piper into the ring. Helped off with the robe by the Lookout! Atlantic corner to reveal a black and white checked number that has the crowd cheering appreciatively..."

Oh the shark, babe
Has such teeth, dear...

McCarthy: "UN. Believable..."

Tess: "For those of you who are new to HBO's Boxing At The Asylum, Mac is still not over the fact that Wiz bought the rights to the Bobby Darin version of 'Mack The Knife' for use as Allison Mack's theme song..."

McCarthy: "It's NOT her theme song! It's MY theme song!"

Cassie: "Well, my ears and eyes tell me otherwise, because that's Allison..."

McCarthy: "Don't call her..."

Cassie: "'Mack The Knife' Mack on her way to the ring..."

McCarthy: "I hope the shark EATS you in the next movie!"

O'Dell(sighing): "Mack wearing that familiar black robe with the red lettering that says 'Mack The Knife' across the shoulders. Below is a gleaming silver knife with a single drop of blood dripping from the blade. Mack into the ring. Helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that blood red bikini she prefers..."

McCarthy: "And a body that's not fit for PENTHOUSE let alone Playboy..."

O'Dell: "And we're about ready to go, so let's get some picks. Tess favors Allison. Mac, what do you think?"

McCarthy: "I think Mack's overrated like almost all the Dancing Hookers and I think Piper's going to knock her out even if the referee counts to a HUNDRED!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, here we go, two ladies quickly out of their corners, circling briefly then getting to work, a solid exchange and then another. Piper working a jab, Mack slips past it and goes body. Both ladies doing a lot of work in the early going."

Cassie: "Unlike the last fight, you have very similar styles in this one. Both girls very busy, both like to work inside and work body."

O'Dell: "And both doing that right now. Allison concentrating downstairs while Billie works her way up, then back down. Lots of head and shoulder movement from both girls, neither an easy target, but both fighters accurate and experienced, so they're squaring one another up pretty well."

Tess: "Both girls busy, but both very disciplined as well. Putting punches together, not getting sloppy, not forcing anything."

O'Dell: "They have a combined 76 fights and 19 years of FCBA experience, so, there's no question they're seasoned veterans, even though they're both only 31 years old. Piper using a slide step now to angle up on Mack. Allison's seen this show before and matches footwork to barrel Billie up. Good solid exchanges down the stretch. Neither girl hurt as the final seconds tick off, but both scoring well right to the bell. Close round, but Mack got it."

Tess: "Which gives Allison the early 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round begins the way the first ended, the two blondes after one another. Both busy, both moving well, showing angles, rolling the shoulders, bobbing the head, creating difficult targets, but that isn't stopping the two veterans from finding the mark. Both putting punches together well and hitting more than they're missing."

Cassie: "You can really see the similarities in the styles here, Jenny. Definitely not carbon copies of one another, but they clearly have a lot in common in the way they fight..."

O'Dell: "Piper working out of a quarter crouch. Mack more straight up at the moment, but Allison is known for level changes..."

Cassie: "Like the one she made when she knocked Mac out in under 30 seconds..."

McCarthy: "I'D BEEN FIGHTING ALL NIGHT AGAINST AN ALL-STAR TEAM!"

Tess: "HERE we go..."

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Walmart!"

O'Dell: "Drink up boys as we watch Billie with hands high in that crouch, sliding forward to land some hooks to the body. Mack responds with a sharp right hand as Piper hooks the lats. Down the stretch we come with the two blondes giving us another competitive two-way round. Piper picking off a few more shots with those high hands and crouch and that proves to be the difference, at least on my card, as the bell rings. A second close one, but Piper got it."

Tess: "And evened the fight at 19. But, as Mac always points out, you wouldn't want to be counting on either of those rounds when the fight ends."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third round now underway and both blondes back to Piper with elbows tight, still in that quarter crouch, looking to hook and shoulder. Mack again more straight up, thinking jab and cross upstairs, and both ladies having success despite the defensive prowess of the other."

Cassie: "It's fun to watch two skilled fighters like this work against one another..."

McCarthy: "SKILLED? Mack couldn't fight her way out of a wet paper bag!"

Cassie: "Um, again, she had you BABIFIED in under 30 seconds..."

McCarthy: "I'D BEEN FIGHTING ALL NIGHT...I ALMOST WON 'THE GAUNTLET'!"

Cassie: "Horseshoes. Handgrenades."

McCarthy: "AND I'M GOING TO STICK ONE OF EACH..."

O'Dell: "Now, calm DOWN, Mac. No one wants to see 'My Little Zombie Ponies: The Galloping Dead'."

McCarthy: "Even I wasn't supposed to be in THAT one..."

O'Dell: "Meanwhile, back in the ring, Mack continuing to work upstairs, while Piper works up and down. Both ladies landing hard, accurate stuff. Not many glancing blows here."

Cassie: "And you can see why when you look at the footwork. Both fighters getting square and getting off quickly. Again, both are skilled and experienced. Neither punch from bad positions."

O'Dell: "Again, Billie able to pick off more punches with the high hands and the crouch. Allison a mite busier, but it's the defense of Piper that's making the difference in this one as we head down the stretch. Piper BANGING ribs with hooks while Mack sends sweat flying with a hard right hand. Billie fires back with a right of her own and Mack takes us to the bell with a three-punch combination that included another good right. Another close one, but Piper, I think."

Tess: "Which makes is 29-28, Billie, but, again, with three this close, no telling what's on the judges' cards."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "We're into the fourth of what's a very even fight so far, and Piper's back to that quarter crouch. Mack still more straight up, carrying the hands in normal position, while Billie has hers high, elbows tight, looking to hook. Allison responds with a hard right hand that got Billie's attention..."

Tess: "Best punch of the fight for Mack."

O'Dell: "And she follows that up with blistering flurry that backs Piper up. Mack finding the range with some heavy shot and SHE STAGGERS BILLIE WITH A LEFT HOOK...AND DROPS HER WITH A RIGHT HAND!"

Cassie: "Left may have done more damage than the right, but it was the right that sat Billie down."

O'Dell: "Referee's count at three, four, five, six. Piper in a sitting position at seven, eight, and to her feet at nine..."

McCarthy: "Could have gotten up earlier. Just taking all the time she can like a smart veteran."

O'Dell: "Referee gives Billie the mandatory and waives Allison forward. Mack right to work backing Piper into the ropes. And NOW Allison wants to go body, taking full advantage of Piper's high guard to hammer that midsection, rip the ribs, and lace the lats."

Cassie: "Mack noticed the same thing we did, that Billie could have gotten up much earlier, so, rather than go all in to get a stoppage, she's going to put some damage on the chassis and some points on the board."

O'Dell: "Billie crouching, keeping the elbows tight, covering up as best she can, trying to counter from the ropes, but clearly still buzzed. Mack like a machine, tearing into Piper's body with both hands, doing just enough upstairs to keep the guard high. It's Allison in command right to the bell, but Billie's going to live to fight another day."

Tess: "The 10-8 round puts Mack up 38-37 through four, on our cards, anyway."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Into the fifth now, and Allison Mack now putting pressure on Billie Piper. Mack wasting no time firing the big guns and forcing Billie to retreat. Piper winging back, but unable to hold canvas at this point, slowly being driven back by the heavier leather of 'Mack The Knife'..."

Cassie: "Billie still doesn't have her legs all the way back under her. She can't match Mack's power as a result. Allison knows it, and she's taking full advantage of it."

O'Dell: "Mack backing Billie into the ropes and going to work again on the body. Allison making a serious investment there the last two rounds. Billie sturdy and tough, taking the licking and continuing with the ticking. Piper fighting in the pocket once again. Landing some in counter, but mostly forced to sponge leather..."

Tess: "Piper holding up pretty well, as you said, Jenny. This kind of attack would have a lot of bantams in trouble..."

McCarthy: "Not any GOOD bantams. Mack can't punch..."

Cassie: "Babified in 30 seconds..."

McCarthy: "SHUT it..."

Tess: "That's not a bad name for a movie. 'Babified In 30 Seconds'. I could see The Rock in that..."

Cassie: "Then that would rule Mac out. The Rock likes YOUNG co-stars..."

McCarthy: "THAT'S IT, SCABBO..."

O'Dell: "Calm DOWN, Mac, and let's concentrate on the ring, where Allison is pouring on the punishment as we move into the final 30 seconds. Piper wincing as the body blows land, but keeping the guard high, firing back in spots. Allison thumping away, punishing Billie to the body right to the bell. There it is and the fifth is history. Mack's round without a doubt."

Tess: "And we've got her up 48-46 at the halfway point."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "We begin the sixth with Mack again fighting lead. Billie still in that quarter crouch, holding canvas now with her legs back under her, but Allison's the one on offense, forcing Piper to try to score in counter."

Cassie: "Mack's the one looking for just a bit of distance here, and she's gotten it with those power punches."

O'Dell: "Allison known to fight inside a lot, but with what Piper's doing now, as Cassie said, she wants a hair of space, and now that she has it, she's able to suppress with her offense. Piper staying patient, countering when she can...AND SHE DROPS ALLISON WITH A RIGHT HAND!"

McCarthy: "YES! Perfectly-timed counter punch sends Mack The Fraud to her back!"

O'Dell: "Billie to a neutral corner. Referee's count at four. Five. Six. Seven. Mack to her feet at eight. Ref gives her the mandatory and is going to let it continue. And here comes Billie looking to finish! Piper backing Mack up immediately, and we've got a 180 from the last couple of rounds. Allison now on the ropes in the high guard as Piper wings away looking for the 'off' switch. Billie ignoring the body and banging upstairs. Mack picking off a lot of it, but some good shots getting through. Piper a good left-right that sent sweat flying into the crowd. Final seconds ticking away and there's the bell. Mack survives, but Piper's made this anyone's fight again!"

Tess: "56-56 on our cards, and, again, no telling what the judges have at this point."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh round begins and now it's Piper the aggressor, looking to back up Mack, but Allison not having any and here we go! Piper and Mack toe to toe in the middle of the ring, going at it hot and heavy, exchanging bombs and neither one giving an inch!"

Cassie: "And, as great as it was watching all the skilled, tactical stuff we saw earlier, THIS is what gets the fans out of their seats."

O'Dell: "And the crowd into it in a big way now as Piper lands a vicious combination and Allison rips back with a nasty right hand. Billie determined to consolidate and back Mack down, but Allison is not going to allow it. Mack fighting for every inch of canvas, not moving back a step. Piper refusing to give up the assault. It's absolute carnage in there!"

Tess: "Both women trying to grab control of what's been one heck of a fight to this point..."

O'Dell: "Crowd on its feet as we head down the stretch. The two blondes not slowing a bit, still firing away heavily and rapidly, looking to land the shot that breaks the stalemate, but neither can seem to do it. A final BIG exchange and there's the bell, ending a bitterly contested round that Mack grabbed by the slimmest of margins..."

McCarthy: "Which makes it 66-65, Mack The Fraud by our count, but there are four rounds in there that the judges could be seeing either way."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "There's the bell for the eighth and the two blondes are right back at it, hammering away in the middle of the ring..."

Cassie: "Both of them have to know there's no way to tell how the judges are scoring this thing...and it looks like neither wants to have to worry about it!"

O'Dell: "It certainly does, as the fighters are toe to toe again, refusing to give an inch...AND THERE'S A RIGHT HAND BY PIPER AND DOWN GOES MACK!"

McCarthy: "YES! Great right hook!"

O'Dell: "Billie to a neutral corner. Referee picks up the count at three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Mack to her feet at eight. Takes the mandatory. Referee will allow it to continue. Piper waived forward and goes immediately to work! A wobbly Mack trying to stay off the ropes, keeping the guard high, trying to tie up, but Billie driving her backward, hammering away with both hands...AND DOWN GOES MACK AGAIN!"

Tess: "Straight right that time. Knocked Allison to her back. This one might be over!"

O'Dell: "Again Piper to a neutral corner. Count at three, four, five, six. Mack to hands and knees. Seven. Eight. Allison pushes to her feet at nine. Referee gives the mandatory, looking very closely. Going to let it continue. Piper charging across the ring, forcing Mack into the ropes and hammering away. Final 30 seconds, but it's going to seem like an eternity for Mack as Billie goes all in. Referee looking closely. Mack hanging on grimly as Billie looks for the 'off' switch...and doesn't find it. There's the bell, and Allison survives, but she's visibly drained and hurting as she heads back to her corner."

McCarthy: "She's also behind on the scorecards. That's a 10-7 round that puts Piper up 75-73 with two to go."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Heading into the ninth now and Billie Piper looking to close this thing out. Piper's taken control after seven back and forth rounds and she's going to look to finish. There's the bell and Billie charging out of the corner and Mack meets her mid-ring and here we go again! Allison not punking, firing right back at an aggressive Billie and the two are yet again trading absolute bombs!"

Tess: "Some terrific grit here from Mack, who looked all but finished a minute ago!"

O'Dell: "But, apparently, she's far from it, because she's matching Piper blow for blow. Billie a VICIOUS left hook...AND MACK DROPS HER WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT! PIPER IS DOWN!"

McCarthy: "GET UP! GET UP!"

O'Dell: "Allison to a neutral corner. Billie knocked flat to her back. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Piper to hands and knees. Seven. Eight. Billie pushes to her feet. Referee counts off the mandatory and waives Allison forward. Mack now a buzzsaw, driving Billie into the ropes and blasting her with a barrage of leather. Piper in a high guard, putting the body on sale, but Mack's not buying! Allison head hunting exclusively, bashing punches off Billie's gloves, loading up on everything, splits them with a blistering right that snapped back Piper's head. Billie's knees wobbled, and they wobble AGAIN after another big right hand. Piper in serious trouble...staggered along the ropes by a right hook! There's a straight right that snaps the head back again...AND IT'S OVER! REFEREE HAS SEEN ENOUGH!"

Cassie: "Wow. Just...wow. What a comeback!"

Tess: "That is classic Allison Mack, no question."

McCarthy: "Easy stomach. Don't turn over now. Easy, girl..."

O'Dell: "And a classic fight from first round to last. Great performance by both fighters, but your winner by TKO9 is Allison 'Mack The Knife' Mack!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I'm with our winner, Allison Mack, and, Allison, things were looking a little bleak at the end of the eighth..."

Allison(smiling): "It's always darkest just before the dawn, Tess. I knew coming in here this wasn't going to be easy. She's good and she's tough. But, I'm tougher, and I'm better. And I never quit. And that's why I'm the girl who got her hand raised."

Tess: "How big a win is this for you?"

Allison: "I heard all the crap the haters were spewing after Sigler, that I'd lost my edge, didn't have the drive anymore, stuff like that. Tonight was about a lot of things, but one of them was shutting those people up. And that's something I've always been good at."
