It's that time of the year in Southern California again where the best tennis players - except for Serena Williams - gather to contest the most important event outside of the Grand Slams. Maria Sharapova is the proven champion and ready to defend her Indian Wells crown in style but equally impressive is the presence of her rival, the voluptous German Julia Goerges who tops all the WTA cleavage rankings to remain high on anyone's list of future victims.

"I'm tired of hearing how those girls are ready to punish my boobs!", Julia says, "It's about time I roll back some years and remind everyone how I beat then #1 Caroline Wozniacki in Stuttgart and let's be honest, Maria's not in the best shape right now. There's my chance to punch her all the way back to Sochi so she can choke on that Olympic torch!"  

Indeed Maria Sharapova's been more busy with the Winter Games promo work lately but her place among torch carriers on the Olympic Stadium still made some heads turn and if there wasn't any new reason for the WTA roster to loathe her marketing dominance one didn't have to look far ahead to find it. But it's strictly business for Maria in Indian Wells and Julia's rack is in imminient danger with the Russian laughing off the questions regarding her tactics for tonight's match: "Julia's all boobs and yeah, you don't win any prize for guessing what I'm gonna do with those! Plus I still remember how she dumped my Nike collection after that Wozniacki win in Stuttgart. My sponsors told me to punish her really hard but I don't need any special encouragement anyway!"

Round 1:
Maria goes rack, too predictable for some but the piercing jabs are too solid for Julia anwyay as she hops around in avoidance while eating some, swings over the top in response but misses a couple of shots and staggers back in defence as the blonde lays it into her and brushes the jaw with a heavy uppercut that bounced off the rack and went up in a flush... Goerges stunned and covered up thereafter, soaking up more punishment with Sharapova blazing her guns from the bell in a hurry, determined to hurt the brunette but it takes more than three minutes to down Julia who still seeks repsonse late in the going, avoids getting trapped on the ropes and fires away on the head, bounces off the temple and tries to set up some gut assault but Sharapova remains on top thanks to superior reach and nails Julia on the mouth at the bell to leave her moaning in anger.

Round 2:
More high-tempo from the blonde but she meets resistance in the middle of the ring as Goerges rips into her ribcage and makes the Russian moan before the jug assault can stagger her again.. heavy slaps on the tummy bends the blonde forward but the guard prevents the head snapper; Julia leans on the blonde, bumps her on the back foot but only grazes the forehead with immediate follow up, swings again on the temple but misses and loses the footing.. gets whacked on the ribs moments later as Sharapova leans on her herself and clobbers the breadbasket in close range to drop the brunette's arms in hectic fashion... left hook over the top nails the German on the mouth again and a quick follow up finds the brow ridge with Julia half-spinning around and sagging on her knees... Bumper time for Maria who leaps onto her and shoves into the ropes with heavy cleavage jabbing, outworks her in close range for good but can't quite pierce the mitts anymore as Goerges hangs on butt-in-ropes until the bell and avoids serious damage.

Round 3:
Julia's annoyed in her corner while Maria just prefers the old fashioned death stare, another leather trade-off ensues early in the third with the German's lack of defensive midset too well known to the tennis audience... but she's not gonna out-hit the blonde tonight as she buries a couple of hooks in her stomach only to get whipped to the side with another smack on the brow ridge, arms are slow up to react and Sharapova finds the rack again, pounds away in fury to force Goerges back in panic mode; no response now and all avoidance but the precision of assault leaves her gasping for air anyway as the Russian clobbers the midriff thereafter and has the brunette trapped on the ropes, spikes the liver area and shrugs off the clinching attempts, swings on the head and snaps the head back a couple of times with Goerges moaning badly in discomfort, lays into her stomach again, drills heavy leather on the navel and has Julia bending forward before a loud scream supports a RIGHT HOOK on the jaw and sends the German bouncing off the ropes and down onto her knees with few seconds on the clock left... Big money shot that but Julia beats the count at seven and the clock expires during the count to prevent the fat lady's song. "This is my home", Maria screams as she observes her opponent's struggles while the German refuses to find eye contact.

Round 4:
Nobody expected this to last the distance with Goerges' tactics almost suicidal against Sharapova's raw power and another leather trade-off snaps the German's head back repeatedly in the opening minute but she just has no speed to go around Maria's efforts and sags on her knees with the Russian's grunts increasing every second now that she rips into Julia's guts. All covered up on top Goerges falls into spiking barrage on the midsection and stumbles into more trouble shortly afterwards when she gets thrown onto the ropes after Sharapova digs into her solar plexus.. struggling to find her breath the German lets out an ominous whimper and gets her defence shattered for good with Maria whipping leather against the rack; she pushes the lacklustre brunette deep into the corner and does the best JMD impression outside the rules; has Julia dropping her arms and staring at her in disbelief which only invites a swift hook on the jaw and a follow up on the nose that leans her over the ropes and downright beaten up. Back to tummy assault; Sharapova in fierce mode now and hell bent to chop the German down, reduces her into a sobbing wreck come the bell and Goerges just can't find her breath even though she avoids another knockdown, she's a spent force already with Maria taking her time in delivering the lethal blow and just admiring her work strictly for the fans' delight.

Round 5:
Goerges refuses to quit on her stool but she's a walking bye as they say in tennis world and gets whipped around on her feet seconds in the fifth, can't keep her gloves in tact anymore and spins to the side after more piercing jabs nail her on both temples... kill zone time as the arms are slow to get up again and Sharapova blasts a hook on the jaw to close Julia's eyes and leave her trembling... more venom on the solar plexus bends the brunette forward and gasping for air like fish out of water before another uppercut from the left turns her lights out for good... JULIA COMES CRASHING DOWN ON HER BACK and covers her face in embarrassement before fading away into a tearful jelly... KO5 Maria Sharapova!!!

AFTER: Goerges' style fits Sharapova so well, no grinding and clinching to make her angry most of the time but the straight-forward punching exchange fell way short of the mark. "It's not 2011 anymore and it's about time Julia realized that!", Sharapova avoids the smooth talk in her own backyard, "I saw so many openings I just had to take advantage and well, punching her boobs flat was the original plan but the end result ain't that bad either! I could have pounded her all the way through the tenth if I wanted to but well, fans pay for the juice, right? And Julia got what she deserved! You don't mess with me at home! Never!"

Final result: Maria Sharapova def. Julia Goerges KO5.
