Before: Monica served her time as practice dummy on Kiana’s show—never allowed to “win” in those mock demonstration sessions, but she came out of the experience a better fighter. Now protégé meets master—with Tom looking beatable over the course of her last few fights and pundits wondering whether the Hawaiian Hammer can hold her ground. Fitness fighting isn’t like fighting traditional celebrities” notes former champ Mia Finnigan, now retired. “The girls are harder, stronger—you don’t see even tremendous talents like I was hang on until their forties and still be competitive. Tom’s one beating away from Denise Austin status, and I’d hate to see that.” Kiana in light blue spaghetti strap sports bra, navy aerobics bottoms, white shoes, slick ponytail. Gold belly chain along her hips. Monica in black leather push up bikini, black boy cut shorts, black shoes, braid.

R1: Monica out looking to bob in close, land the hook, but Kiana with that Hearns wide stance, able to lean back and forth, always in range to jab, but making Monica miss and overextend. Midway through the bout, Kiana induces Monica forward and leans into a vicious slinging right hand on the jaw that freezes Brant out over her feet, another right licks the jaw and Monica collapses to her knees like she was shot. Brant somehow soaking it up, beats the count, reeling on her hips, and Kiana comes in serious as a heart attack. Lanky double left hooks spank hard to the blonde’s abs, looping right hands over the top crack her face, and Monica wobbles to her backside after a thudding barrage of heavy leather. Once again Monica struggles to her feet, badly dazed, but the bell sounds to end the carnage. Kiana shaking her head in disappointment—would Monica have survived those blasts 3 years ago?

R2,3: Kiana sticks and moves, feet spread wide, rocking from her back foot to her front, licking at Monica with that piston jab and staying out of range as the blonde can’t get inside. Bramt gambling to land lunging overhand rights or looping left hands, it’s dangerous stuff as Kiana looks to time these wide blows.

R4: Kiana still comfortable outside, lifting the jab off her hip, steering Monica around the ring, and in the first minute, the brunette suddenly drops a shattering short right hand on the blonde’s jaw, sending a jolt down Monica’s legs and leaving her stunned on her feet. Reloading, Kiana taps Monica’s lips with the timing left and lands a CRASHING right to the face—Monica staggering back doesn’t go down and Kiana is visibly shocked. Kiana goes on to rip lanky lefts and rights to the body, twisting her slim hips onto the punches, then backing off to feed Monica the stick. Brant in bad shape, but she gets stronger as the round progresses—she’s taking Kiana’s best shots very well.

R6,7: Kiana leaving the right hand on her cheek, just boxes as Monica comes forward, gloves at her lips, bobbing side to side to apply pressure. Tom still too crafty, jabbing, falling off to the left, spinning her girl midring, turning her at the ropes and retreating in good order. Still, Brant’s starting to come forward with confidence—she’s just not moving her hands enough to win these points.

R8: Monica finally breaks through—Tom’s jab begins to slow, allowing Brant to slip underneath and get to that slender gut. All Monica as she bodies up, getting leverage on taller Tom and shoving her ropeside. Brant fighting off Kiana’s chest, puts a wince on Tom’s face as she turns into serious blows to the waist and hips. Kiana shutout, sits on the ropes at the bell, looking fatigued.

R9: More Monica pressure—Kiana can’t keep the blonde off now, and she quickly takes a seat on the ropes as Monica works her over. Brant leaning to snap hard blows in around Kiana’s sides, then shoving the brunette back with a brawny shoulder in the chest to get at that belly. Tom slumping forward, going wobbly butt, and midway through the round she sinks to one knee with a gurgle. All Monica to the bell as she bodies up, keeps her punches short, and clouts Tom about the face, breasts and waist.

R10: Kiana sinking to the ropes in shit legs again, face stretched with pain, gloves low—she bends side to side, trying to come back up the middle with hard uppercuts, or whistling over the top with wrap around hooks, right hands. Brant moving her head, shoulder shucking Tom off balance stays on her girl, going punch for punch with Kiana until the Hawsaiian slumps forward behind her guard. Fight ends with Monica reefing to those brown ribs with either hand, taking it out of Kiana at the bell. Too little too late—an exhausted and battered Kiana Tom takes a unanimous decision, grimacing as the ref raises her hand.

After: Sure it’s another win, but once again cracks appear in the once dominant Kiana façade. Brant withstanding withering blasts early on, and Tom couldn’t close the show when the blonde wouldn’t quit. Brant lumped up, badly battered about the face, but upbeat—it’s a good performance against the legendary Tom.
