NON-SANCTIONED BOXING ON THE BEACH

Before: Hawaii - private beach - mid-day - no ring. Kiana Tom, Stacy Kamano and a few others Jenny doesn't recognize - a few tourists from a nearby resort - and Francoise Yip of course.

Yip: tall for an Asian lass - western-built. Resume basically identical to Jenny's except for the gaudy series-lead O'Dell had on Lost World. Working pros - straight-to-tape movies, TV guest starring roles - same grind for both of them.

Jenny knew when she came to Hawaii that it wouldn't be 'restful' exactly. She told her people she'd stay out of trouble, but let's face it: when Jenny shows up in Kiana's back yard, Tom's going to respond.

No television contract - fight contested under dueling tradition. Kamano refereeing, Tom time keeping. Evangeline Lilly taking time out of her off-day to act as second for Jenny: Lilly and O'Dell practically strangers, but recognizing each other as kindred spirits - and Evangeline has no love for Tom and her crew.

Jenny in black Shark bikini - gold hip chain - small black gloves. Francoise in yellow bikini, small white work out gloves. Both girls wear soft curls loose around shoulders.

During R1: Cautious circling, girls' eyes narrowed against harsh sunlight - Yip steps into Jenny with a pair of workmanlike rights to tummy, turning over a palm-down hook to catch Jenny's cheek; O'Dell's stung. Jenny stamping in sand - earmuffing up on reflex: Yip paws the jab, touching it to Jenny's guard before pouring in a stout right to firm blonde paunch PAK! Jenny grunting, backing up, keeping dukes up: Yip stepping-with, wading into Jenny's midsection with strapping lefts and rights. Small mitts cracking moist against Jenny's tanned tummy: Yip getting after blonde beef strong, backing O'Dell up for 2 minutes. Final minute - Jenny firms - doubling her jab and dropping a crisp right to spook Francoise' chin. Yip covers up, ducks, circles, jabs at Jenny's impressive rack as blonde starts to come forward late. Closing seconds - Yip loops right arm around Jenny's head; puts hip into Jenny's abdomen; twists, throws Jenny expertly, and heavily to the sand. O'Dell landing with a muffled thump - Francoise seething, chest heaving. Jenny's up, batting sand off her thighs as Kiana shouts time. Stacy K smirking, "Accidental trip. You OK, Jenny?"

O'dell pursing her lips, refusing to be baited. "Peachy," she says.

R2: Jenny picks up where she left off - being the aggressor, walking Yip down. Francoise frowning - stepping to her right, then loading up good, pumping right hands to Jenny's breadbasket: blonde walking through the shots, blocking Yip's curious palm-down hook up top. Jenny with blunt, short, straight rights and lefts up top - encroaching on Yip, pressurizing her, but blonde always bringing dukes back to her head, rolling her torso after punching. Jenny's got Francoise guarding up high: blonde starting to score banging roundhouses to ribs and flanks, beating out a steady patter of sharp PIKs and PAKs. Yip grimacing, shying away: Jenny much heavier handed than Tom had suggested. Final moments - grunting Yip engages Jenny in MMA clinch: chin out over Jenny's left shoulder - both girls with the left shoulder in each other's chests - left hand clutching at firm lat muscle to help turn the other girl around - right hands punching pesky, body and head. Tom yells 'break' to signal round's end: Yip throws her shoulder into Jenny's breasts; snarling Jenny hooks Francoise' mouth, sending her away wobbly butt - Kamano bodies up on Jenny, pushing her back and glaring.

R3: Yip engages Jenny in ruinous trade - girls dug in flat-footed, trading crisp right crosses, roaring hooks - O'Dell beating Yip to punches, scoring heavily to Asian cheekbones. Francoise wobbly butt - reaches in under Jenny's arms to clinch-and-turn - Jenny pushing into Francoise, feeling her foe's weakness, walking her back. Jenny writhing arms and working hard to disengage since Stacy's not issuing breaks - O'Dell finally pushing clear, digs a right/left thick to Francoise' paunch, doubling her over. Thick left hook sinks in behind Yip's right elbow: Francoise shudders, sighs, keeping her gloves at her face. Jenny set strong - right hand open, pushing lightly at Yip's guard in close - O'Dell committed to reefing hooks, belting away at tummy and above-the-hip. Yip groaning, attempting to clinch: Jenny steps back in good order, hooks Yip's exposed sternum to cripple her once more. Jenny with a tough left shoulder-bump, then a curling right uppercut in tight: punch picks up Yip's drowsy face, lips parted. Francoise staggering forward, trying to hang on: Jenny stepping to the right, or bumping Yip tuff shoulders - O'Dell keeping hands free, creating just enough space to get off with hips and back powering Yip-busting leverage - beating Francoise without mercy to her body and breasts. Down the stretch - Jenny working in close, but stepping to her right, turning Yip and digging dutifully at her tummy rights and lefts. It's all too much - Francoise trudging and stumbling finally pitches forward to all fours - panting and broken in the sand. KO3 Jenny O'Dell as Yip can't get off her knees.

After: People just drift away - Tom and her minions glaring at Jenny en route. Lilly shakes Jenny's hand with a "Well done," Jenny thanking Evangeline for coming out. Jenny's broken a sweat after 9 minutes of Francoise; O'Dell tousles her hair, contemplating the lazy day before her, smiling a winner's carefree, life-is-good smile. Maybe she'll go for a run, maybe a swim, maybe just get a little sunbathing in - all the usual vacation choices.
