Before: With Lucy Liu moving up, maybe even abandoning the belts, jockeying for position begins in the crowded fly ranks. Alba’s new show horning in on territory pioneered y “Buff The Vampire Slayer”, naturally wants to face, and replace, the original

“I’m cleaning house,” says Jessica of the flyweight division. “I’m sweeping away all the old blondes like so many trashy knickknacks. I think we all know why Liu is vacating the premises.”

Bravado seemed hollow until a dominant Kelly Packard got stretched--Gellar reportedly taking the threat very seriously.

White bikini top, white draw string pants, slick ponytail Sarah--red bikini top, red silk drawstring pants--wet dark curls for Alba.

During R1: Alba moving forward clearly the aggressor but Gellar blunts the pressure with vintage form. Sarah taping lead rights, snapping left hooks, sidestepping with a hand  at Alba’s elbow to turn the brunette and constant head movement characterize the blonde’s will o’ the wisp ac. Jessica rightly focusing on her foe’s belly button, landing the odd stiff pounch to the flat tummy, but Gellar scoops the points.

R2: Gellar pushes out a double pumping lead right, comers back with a blindside left hook and DOWN GOES ALBA! Jessica scooting to her backside up quickly, but Gellar lays down the blanket this round. Shutout from quick fisted nimble bodied Sarah as she nibbles, steps around and bibs her head for the shutout.

R3: More lead right hands set up a crunching left hook, this time impact sends shivers up Sarah’s arms and Alba hit’s the desk HARD! Jessica up and woozy--sultry eyes glazd, mouth pouting as Gellar pours it on, Sarah keeping constant contact with the jab, turning her girl, swabbing hard combinations across Jessica’s bikini’d breasts, Another shutout for Buffy--she’s all business stomping back to her corner as Alba looks uncertain at the bell.

R4: Shutout and power from Sarah again as she starts to roll Jessica up. Alba stalking forward, but missing by inches as Gellar bobs and weaves, returns fire with pesky spanks to the midriff or chin, then pivots left or right to keep Alba’s feet moving. Midway through, Gellar walks Jessica into anther crisp hook that rocks the brunette badly, but Alba’s legs finally meet the challenge, keeping her upright this round.

R5: Shutout Gellar. She’s painting Alba, humiliating the young brunette with firm punching in combination and constant lateral/upper body movement. Through five--it’s Sarah’s best defensive performance ever as Alba just can’t get leather on target--sent packing to her corner once again after 3 straight minutes of abuse.

R6: Jessica reusing to give in, keeps marching forward, and first minute sees her dig into Sarah’s belly with satisfying left/right action. Gellar spinning away, gets her licks in through the middle minute, hitting and pivoting around her punches as Alba lumps up, Down the stretch, Jessica cutting off the ring well digs her shoulder to dig a hard left to the firm tummy, freezing Gellar’s legs for the first time, Another crunching left on belly meat, then a left hook on the chin and DOWN GOES GELLAR! Sarah up at 8, but her legs are shot, eyes wide--she’s lucky to hear the bell as Alba moves in with a old sneer.

R7: Jessica walking Sarah down, keying on the stomach, dipping her shoulders and ripping to the body as Gellar breaks down. Sarah crumpling up, staggering in retreat--she’s hurting and not nearly as evasive as earlier. Jessica pouring it on, walks Gellar all around the ring, pitching it hard lefts and rights to the tanned tummy and leaving Gellar trembling at the bell, Shutout Alba.

R8: Sarah slowing desperate form, scorches an unwary Jessica with a looping overhand right, steps away to the right, then nails Alba again with the same punch as she brunette lunges forward, Alba walking through the power, recovers to chase Gellar the rest of the way--but Sarah’s done enough to win the round.

R9: Gellar busting open Alba left eye, lands several wild overhand right, always bending low and escaping on follow through as the hittable brunette soaks up the bombs flush. Jessica staggering forward, beaten into a stupor early--Buffy able to nickel and dime the rest of the way, returning to her supple early form to shut the brunette out.

R10: Brisk exchange to open: Sarah’s overhand right blocked, she doubles a left hook to the hip but Alba snaps off a short left hook on the teeth that rolls Gellar to her back for a stunning knockdown seconds in, Sarah up bleeding from the nose, goes into the prevent. Rest of the way it’s Sarah poking straight lead rights or slapping hooks, then pivoting to her left, giving Alba angles, making the brunette adjust constantly and time runs out. Sarah Michelle Gellar boxes her way to a UD10--a bitterly disappointed Jessica Alba left lumpy in the aftermath.

After: Return to form for Gellar who climbed off the canvas and kept her poise to halt Alba’s advance with a brilliant display of boxing. Jessica showed a stubborn chin herself as Sarah tuned her up early and often, but couldn’t make the nubile brunette quit. Jessica showing power and courage but still a  little rough around the edges, especially defensively--Liu probably not losing any sleep.
