Before:L Richards taking on the blonde Midajah in Stratus—valet can’t wait to stretch the fetching brunette—pundits agree there seems to be a slugging threshold past which Richards just can’t seem to cope, Makes matters worse: Vince puts a bounty on Richards’ chin, offering cash rewards for knockdowns and/or a KO. Trish has big KO wins over some pretty decent boxers., but Denise at her best does have the right tools to compete, Richards in light blue bikini, ponytail, Trish pink bikini.

R1,2: Denise following her fight plan perfectly—steering Trish with the jab, staying off the ropes, keeping the fight in the center of the ring and taking the time to crank short double left hooks into those mammoth jugs at every opportunity. Stratus showing no respect, walking in, taking punches, just trying to heave heavy at Denise’s ribcage or chin with little success through 2.

R3: Richards steps  it up. Jab has Trish crossing her arms and backing up a little—D chases her with plowing right crosses and STRATUS IS HURT! Trish getting tagged moving backwards falls apart, craters to the ropes wobbly butt and stunned. Richards is going to the body with half a dozen LOUD hooks, then swatting at Trish’s head as the gasping blonde bends over her trembling legs. Stratus soaking up a BEATING this round—Richards finally punches herself out and allows Trish off the ropes, peppering and staggering the blonde with the stick to the bell, Big Richards round, scored 10-8 without a knockdown—Trish back ti her corner, busted up, hurt, and catching and earful.

R4: Status owns the first minute, fighting off Denise’s chest, cranking brutal left hooks to the waist as Richards slumps against the ropes. D taking it well however, starts to counter, leaning side to side and pulling big shots into Stratus’ head. Midway through—girls trade wife right hands and STRATUS GOES DOWN! Trish bending into Denise’s shot, takes a knee as Richards scampers to the neutral corner. Stratus up at 8, but she’s shot—gloves at lips she is BATTERED in the corner as D tries to finish—cranking rights and lefts—Richards leaving her feet as she jumps into the punches—Stratus just stumbling from one foot to the other as she swoons at the bell.

R5: D looking a little army weary—Stratus able to get past the jab and fight off Richards chest i9n cheek to cheek brawling. Stratus much heavier handed—Denise’s toned body shakes as Trish digs into midriff—Richards laying in, shoeshining  back across Stratus’ belly and breasts, but the blonde too strong in close. Round to Stratus who looks like she’s taken D’s best shots and seems to be getting stronger.

R6: OH DEMISE! Richards comes out gambling, pitching in right hands onto Trish’s chin in high risk slugging in the first minute and Stratus pulls away hurt! Trish on the ropes—Denis very professional, working the gut with thudding lefts hooks, , clubbing kidney with right round punches, then coming back upstairs as Stratus breaks down. Down the stretch—Stratus in trouble, creeps forward—Denise stepping back behind a clipping hook on the temple, then stepping in with a vicious wide right hand to the side—in and out, in and out—Stratus starts to stagger, and TRISH TAKES A KNEE! Stratus crying as the body shots add up—D doesn’t take hger eyes off her foe as Trish gets to her feet at the bell.

R7: WAR! Richards has has the upper hand and she means to keep it, getting right back on top of Trish, HAMMERING that belly, shouldering Stratus back and diving in on the blonde’s chin with right hands. Richards slugging in close gives Stratus a chance, and she’s catching D with hooks on the jaw and across the body, but Richards won’t be denied, pounding away for more points as Trish gets outhustled this round.

R8: Richards goes back for more—and it costs her. Stratus with arms across her belly, bobbing up and down, hooking hard out of her crotch, Denise standing straight uo and slugging recklessly—clean Stratus hook swivel’s Richards’ head and drops her to her backside for a shocking 8. D up and badly hurt for the first time in the fight—Stratus aching for paycheck piles on, Brutal pounding along the ropes as Trish beats clubbing right hands upside the brunette’s head, driving D to the corners. Richards helpless, soaking up horrific bombs, and down the stretch—Trish gets it all back—bulling Richards into ropes, SLAMMING the left hand over and over to the body--gurgling Denise wilts to all fours as Stratus bellows in rage at the bell.

R9.10: Denise Richards digs down, finds her legs, and goes back outside to control Stratus in the championship rounds. Accurate, stuff double jabs, surprising lead right hands, and plenty of clinches from Richards-0Trish getting more and more desperate, walking in to po\stshots and accepting clinches as she just can’t set up her power, D all smiles at the final bell—a crestfallen Trish Stratus knows what’s coming—UD10 Denise Richards.

After: “I told you so” bout for Richards, slamming the door on critics the world over with a terrific performance. Unable to stop Trish outright, D never got discouraged, boxed for position, slugged for respect and thoroughly controlled the favoured blonde for much of the fight, Dicey 8^th the only round Richards let get out of hand—gutty will to survive compliments a fine technical display from the brunette.
