BEFORE: "I've been the underdog my whole career," Taylor shrugs in prefight, "you check my record though, and you'll see it hasn't hurt me. People are always telling me not to do things. Everybody said 'don't fight Jenny O'Dell - she's too strong and experienced.' I fought Jenny O'Dell, and beat her out of boxing. People said I shouldn't fight Charlize Theron - she's a legend - fighters like Taylor Cole get hurt by fighters like that. I stepped to Charlize and broke her in the Crusade. So I'm not afraid of Cassidy Freeman. I'm hearing all the same things about her I always do, so I guess all that's left is for me to knock her the hell out!"

Takes Freeman a minute to stuff her own jab into Taylor's tits, but upon negotiating range, Cassidy settles into a good punching rhythm. Girls fronting up in sturdy gun-platform stances, sorting each other out via stiff left jabs, then leaning in righty...Freeman's weight of shot clearly decisive as Taylor gets the worst of thumping exchanges.

R2: Same pitch-and-catch - Cole not afraid to lean in on front (left) leg and trade one-twos. Freeman catching on her face, but walking through it, pumping her jab to Taylor's chest and looking to park right hands on chin. Down the stretch it's Cole getting it done: crisp, long-armed one-two spanks Cassidy's face, startling her; rubber-armed delayed left hook lashes Cassidy thick to midsection, bunching her up; muscular left uppercut/short right hand combo up top puts Cassidy wobbly-butt. Freeman staggering backwards out of her stance with gobsmacked eyes...Taylor walks the champ down, dives in with a driving straight right sloped to gut at bell, pounding a tight grimace of hurt onto Freeman's face.

R3: Shifting clockwise pivots for Taylor around that lead (left) plant leg, but basically she's standing in the pocket, sticking her jab in Cassidy's face and dropping rangy right hand bombs to chin. Freeman trusting her legs to sponge up Cole's power - champ with dukes up, looking to counter off the block. Patient, deliberate stuff - much of Cole's work dies on Cassidy's guard, but Freeman defensive as a result, offering back the odd jab/right hand in spots. Down the stretch, Cole able to punch Cassidy out of her stance with driving straight rights to midsection - long-limbed brunette angling in and down, really spanking-body with authority at bell.

R4: Cassidy shows loose crossed arm, adopts a step-and-bob approach to apply walking pressure. Cole forced into more of a dancing clockwise pivot - still pumping that heavy jab, still dropping the right hand thereafter, but now palming Cassidy's shoulders, leaning into her to push her off. Freeman encroaching, bobbing poke, answering back sharp thumbside-up hooks from the crossed-arm...redhead whacking her brunette to flank-rib and checking-chin with serious left hands. Cassidy's right hand used to parry Cole's jab out of the air, or push at Cole's chest...Freeman basically looking to step into hooks from the bob, and it's working. Taylor visibly distressed as Cassidy starts to land...brunette legs giving the odd shimmy when Freeman locates chin; brunette face wincing when Freeman digs in under Cole's right breast. Down the stretch, double hook goes sternum/chin on Cole, slugging her ragdoll into ropes: Taylor eyes moist, staring as Freeman follows up. Cassidy bobs in under a pushy Cole left; straightens into a SHATTERING left hook to chin...head-swivel Taylor Cole as her body goes limp, sags into ropes, then pitches forward to canvas! Taylor's momentum rolls her onto her back as Cassidy's strutting away...Cole's hands up/elbows planted on canvas as the 10 count passes her by. KO4 in workmanlike fashion, for the winner and still champ, Cassidy Freeman.

After: Freeman actually coming from behind after being picked apart by a skilled challenger...champ chides herself for not being more aggressive from the outset. "I let her get traction outside, gave her confidence," Cassidy says sheepishly in postfight. "It was dumb - we knew she couldn't stand up to me, but I was kind of just matching reflexes with her at the start, giving her a chance to outclass me. Once I made up my mind to go get her, it was over. It ain't slick, I guess - what I do - but it's effective. Pretty satisfying seeing her go out like that, let me tell you!"
