There's a great deal of expectations on Melanie Brown's shoulders ever since she effectively send Lisa Maffia into semi-retirement last month and earned herself a staunch criticism from X-Factor's Tulisa Contostavlos who looks to take care of the "fat-ass has-beens" herself. "I've been ignored by the elite far too long", she tells Denise van Outen before the fight and there's every chance I'm gonna freakin' destroy Mel B. tonight, pretty much like Dannii Minogue destroyed Emma Bunton a while back. Spice Girls is history and I'm ready to dump them to the trash one by one! First Mel B. and then that sleazy Mel C. too. It only figures someone all new & fresh like me would be responsible for the ultimate farewell to these overhyped dinosaurs!"

Nobody's been this vocal against the Lioness roster on their home turf since Alesha Dixon's carefully planned upheaval and the Barnet crowd is equally eager to find out if Tulisa is just all talk and no glory or can she in fact mount a successful campaign towards the division elite. Taking Mel B's scalp looks good on anyone's resume and the Scary Spice remains strictly business during the introductions; she took a special VIP pass to postpone van Outen interview until after the fight and having seen Tulisa run her mouth on twitter already one can only suspect she won't be playing around with the X-Factor starlet for too long tonight!

Mel B. wearing a red bikini top, black boy-leg trunks and red gloves. Tulisa Contostavlos wearing a white bikini top, blue knickers and yellow gloves. She sports a dark attire tonight having dyed her hair raven black to Melanie's contrasting light brown look.

Round 1:
Both girls square off in the middle of the ring and there's a lot of mean intentions present as they batter away at each other with Mel snapping Tulisa's head back more efficiently and forcing her back after a quick trade-off; nothing holds the Spice Girl back and she leaps after the younger brunette and keeps searching for the facial damage, clips Tulisa's jaw a couple of times before slicing her on the temple and if Tulisa ever questioned Brown's attitude she's for a tough wake up call as she gets reeled back to the ropes by sheer ammount of attack, tries to fire back over the top but Mel's all busy and keen to work her over, switches late in the round and pierces the tummy, blasts one more hook on the jaw to make the younger singer moan and the Barnet crowd is on their feet already!

Round 2:
More aggression from the older girl who just thumps Tulisa's body in the middle of the ring before a quick switch high tags the chin again and forces her into another earmuff defence. Mel leaps back & forth around her and goes around the elbows for more variety, slips by an overhand counter and buries more leather into Contostavlos' midriff, wants to push her towards the ropes again but the younger brunette realizes she can't afford to waste any time and just opens up from both hands trying to connect with Brown's face... vicious leather trade off follows where Tulisa nails Mel on the eye and pounds away at the chest thereafter, staggers the Scary Spice briefly and digs some shots around the elbows herself to finally tame some of the onslaught... Mel pivots around into half-distance but still gets clubbed with a vicious hook on the ribs but Tulisa settles down too and both girls are happy to see out the round in defensive mood.

Round 3:
Mel goes for the haymaker early, rips an uppercut on the jugs and has Tulisa gasping for air but still capable of firing over the top; she catches Brown on the left eye and snaps her head back, follows up with more facial leather as Mel leans forward and targets the boobs... punching frenzy again much to the crowd's delight but they are silenced half way through the round when couple of Contostavlos' jabs catch their favorite on the eye and bend her forward... Tulisa moves on the front foot and sends uppercuts on her own, mauls Mel's boobs and has her seeking a clinch before a left hook on the jaw spins her to the side and allows some Tulisa punishment... older girl in trouble as she loses her footing and fails to escape more accurate hooks on the head; she bellows out onto the ropes and covers up but Tulisa still has fun piercing her chest for remainder of the round!

Round 4:
Tulisa's keen to follow up on that round but Mel drops her aggression and reverts into some fancy footwork, she dekes around the younger brunette's efforts and settles for a single hand approach which bides her some time but down the stretch Tulisa comes on top on the speed department and digs into Brown's tummy again, fails to make noteworthy connection with the boobs this time as Mel's guard withstands the effort; a late flurry of leather spikes Tulisa's ribcage but she still finds that uppercut right at the death and sags the older girl on her knees to secure the round regardless.

Round 5:
Mel struggles to match Tulisa's speed but lures her into another close range exchange, still the younger brunette thinks how to underline her alleged dominance and digs into Brown's chest more efficiently this time but the gets whacked on the eye in response and the close range punchfest helps to expose Mel's raw power as she whips Contostavlos' arms aside and thumps her boobs against the chin, makes the X-Factor vixen squeal and the war of attrition continues with Mel landing more uppercuts on the rack and slowly backing Tulisa into the ropes. Angry yelp from the younger singer, she tags Mel's cheeks and slices across the nose but then gets shoved by Brown's breasts and has to switch low for any success, gets clinched by the veteran and shoved away again, this time losing her footing in the progress. Mel comes with a clubbing hook but Tulisa just slips by her outstreched arm and bangs away at the ribcage from the side, settles back into half-distance afterwards.

Round 6:
A significantly quicker approach gives Brown the edge early as she whips a jabbing series on the chest to catch Contostavlos napping in the middle of the ring and the follow up bounces off the guard to allow Mel for another counter. She pierces the mitts and whacks Tulisa on the nose, uppercuts the chin too and staggers the younger brunette; the arms go up for protection but Brown punishes the ribcage instead and thumps the liver area which bends Tulisa awkwardly.... LEFT HOOK ON THE TEMPLE.. spins the raven-black hair around the neck and Mel piles on the pressure in the middle of the ring... makes more guard slicing attempts which end with Tulisa's nose getting a nasty shiner but the onslaught contines as Brown ducks underneath a slow response and slams a cross hooking combo on the mouth and stumbles her for to the side. Another slow reaction gets punished even more; Tulisa gloves are too low to cover up for another clubbing hook on the jaw and she squeals in pain afterwards and leans forward to meet another thunderclap shot on the jaw... DOWN GOES CONTOSTAVLOS flat on her back as she can't handle Brown's accurate punching anymore, gathers herself up at five but looks somewhat concerned about a fat lip Mel gave her in that round and falls into more overhand jabs in close range... Brown on the chase, tries to trap the younger singer on the ropes but has her boobs swaying with Tulisa not ginving up at all yet and thumping the rack with both hands until the bell.

Round 7:
Melanie's in top shape here and has no fitness issues to worry about whereas Tulisa makes a slow entrance in the the seventh and endures more facial leather as she can't enforce anything on the ex-Spice Girl and has to cover up in order to survive. Mel belts her on the navel anyway and seeks more uppercuts on the chin, breaks through the guard before the two minute mark and cracks a cross-hooking combo on the nose which makes Contostavlos moan in pain even lounder. FACIAL BARRAGE follows as Mel rips into both cheeks and reels a trembling Tulisa back to the ropes where another clubbing hook cuts the raven-haired singer on the left eye and forces her to stay eafmuffed until the bell. Brown works like a woman possessed, has her opponnent trapped and she just reverts into punching her insides out in a corner, pierces the stomach and bounces off the ribcage to leave Contostavlos holding back the tears at the bell.

Round 8:
The amount of leather thrown by Melanie seems to have finally broken the deadlock as a slow moving Tulisa gets caught on the eye with the first punch of the round and just stumbles to her side, fails to raise her arms in time and Brown with a heavy right hook bursts the nostrils open and turns Tulisa's nose into a river of blood... The Barnet crowd await the coup de grace and it follows suit as she first finds the chin and then almost fractures Contostavlos' nose... the younger brunette unable to cover up anymore, endures a double takeout and CRUMBLES ONTO HER KNEES... starts sobbing in the open for all her troubles as blood now pours from her squashed nose... She bravely gets up at eight but only to wipe off the tears and have herself escorted by the ref who suspects a broken nose has indeed been inflicted on her... Bloody TKO8 Melanie Brown!!!

AFTER: "I silenced Tulisa big time, baby!", Mel B. finally lets all the pressure drop and she couldn't be more happy even if that means she's injured her very attractive and brave opponent, "Tulisa isn't brave, she's donwright stupid! And it's no wonder I nearly broke her nose into pieces! She got all what she deserved! Not bad for a dinosaur like me, huh?"

Meanwhile Tulisa's more concerned over her nose and fails to defend any of the pre-fight trash talk yet Denise van Outen believes she's gonna be pounced by Mel C. sooner rather than later regardless: "The Spice Girl dinosaurs are gonna make her life hell now. Mel B. is a big puncher for a bantamweight and allthough Mel C. has different style she can maul Tulisa into exhaustion on her own. Tulisa will regret all those comments she made but that's only good news for every BBU fan out there!"

Final result: Melanie Brown def. Tulisa Contostavlos TKO8.
