It's the Main Event in Barnet and the crowd awaits a proper revenge on Gal Gadot who upstaged Christine Bleakley on her BBU debut last month in a fight that was always scheduled as a rehearsal before the big clash against fellow model Karolina Kurkova. Denise van Outen supported Gadot back then based on her life-long disdain towards Bleakley but rates her chances even against the Czech model tonight. Kurkova has more experience and even though she suffered a few bad losses along the way she's fighting in front of a very supportive crowd and given her plans for the summer it could definitely kickstart her move towards the elite again.

Gal Gadot has moved from the catwalks to a movie career and landing the Wonder Woman part turned many heads indeed; the Israeli brunette still wants to make it big across the Atlantic but jumps onto every opportunity since teaming up with the European branch of Lookout! Boxing. And the Barnet crowd gives her a good ovation when she enters the ring, it's always something different when a girl from outside the UK comes to BBU and wants to make her mark.

Round 1:
Gadot pours with early leather, surprises the blonde with her aggresive approach and digs into the breadbasket as Kurkova tries to swing her way out of the striking range but misses her efforts and allows the brunette to keep punishing her stomach. Gadot very lively on her feet, maintains the midriff assault before switching high and trying to slice the mitts apart. Kurkova's guard withstands those efforts but she fails to make any inroads on her own as Gal's too quick for her early and only allows the blonde to graze her flesh; Karolina with a late rally on the chest but bounces off the forearms and gets whacked on the temple with a swift overhand as Gadot soon reverts into more ribcage assault and indicates she's gonna make the blonde's fight a real handful.

Round 2:
Karolina tries to move quicker on her feet but she can't break through the guard and falls into more body slamming; Gal sticks to her plan and keeps swinging around the elbows, traps the blonde in the middle of the ring and punishes the liver area which staggers the blonde but it's only when another overhand hook nails her on the temple things get really heated; a sudden response from Karolina connects with the chest and both girls lean on each other in full bashing mode, blonde girl all over the brunette's rack but gets spiked on the liver area and slows down again after a brief high-tempo brawl; Gadot comes on top, reels Karolina back with more jabs around the elbows but fails to hassle her down until the bell so the Czech girl can circle back safely but she shakes her head at the bell and that's no wonder given Gal's effective performance thus far.

Round 3:
More of the same in the third, Gadot's too quick for the blonde and finds her rhythm on the ribcage again, Czech model grows increasingly annoyed, throws wide slaps from both side on the head but only grazes the top of Gal's forehead and falls into more leather on the midriff. She drops her forearms in protection but the quick switch from the brunette whacks her on the chin and wobbles back on the spot; Gal pours with facial leather thereafter, snaps the blonde's head back and reels her onto the ropes again but Karolina manages to jump away at the very last moments to avoid looming disaster; still she circles back and does little to impress the judges as Gal's methodical approach spells trouble and the single hand approach keeps Kurkova on her toes for remainder of the round.

Round 4:
Gal finds the blonde's jaw with her opening punch of the fourth and goes up from there as she staggers her opponent in the middle of the ring and slices the mitts with a subsequent cross-hook, digs into Karolina's cheeks and snaps her head back repeatedly. Kurkova wobbles back and can't escape the punishment this time; gets thrown onto the ropes soon afterwards and it's all Gadot who pierces the guard at will, batters the blonde's face and sags her on her knees but it's only when she buries a right hand on the solar plexus Karolina cries out her troubles AND TAKES A KNEE.... Ugh! More misery for the Barnet faithful with the Israeli brunette showing no signs of any weakness... Kurkova takes her time before getting up at seven and wants to amend the count by jumping at the brunette straight after the command but Gal saw that coming and immediately leans on the blonde to engage in a heavy slugfest along the ropes; Kurkova finds success on the chest but gets pinned back anyway thanks to the ribcage assault revival; Gal comes on top yet again as she forces the Czech girl to cover up late on and she's got another round under her belt with Kurkova shaking her head during the interval again.

Round 5:
Despite the knockdown Gal doesn't rush her approach for a while until she realizes that Karolina wants to catch some respite and refuses to step into her alltogether. A brunette charge follows but the mid-distance survives the effort as a defensive minded blonde manages to weave her way out of the striking range to annoy Denise van Outen in the booth but the cat & mouse game only lasts until Gadot slices the mitts with a high hook and connects with the chin again, Kurkova loses her footing on top of that and half turns against the onslaught with Gal peppering her ribcage from the side before pouring in with uppercuts on the chest; she shatters the blonde's defence and thumps more uppercuts on the jaw; sends Karolina ragdoll onto the ropes where she cleans out her stomach; blonde girl moans in discomfort and tries to clinch the brunette but Gal works her right hand against the navel and just keeps beating some Czech ass here in Barnet tonight!

Round 6:
Gadot seeks another pounce and jumps at Kurkova who keeps her arms low before snapping away at the jaw as the onrushing brunette gets caught clean... BIG TIME WOBBLE as Gal yelps in pain having basically walked into that tease... Karolina slams more jabs against the nose and bends the brunette to the side, goes up from there and ravages the chest as Gal can't quite find any response and seeks a clinch herself; gets thumped on the liver though and sags on her knees with the blonde hammering away at the ribacage and backing her into the ropes, payback time as Kurkova drills the navel and has Gadot gasping for air and clinching to see out the round. Crowd errupts in joy at the bell but it's only the first round that the Czech model secured on the cards and we can only expect some Israeli response soon!

Round 7:
And there's the response; both girls tangle in the middle of the ring slamming heavy leather into each other's chest but Karolina has red mist in her eyes after that previous round and finds the uppercut on the jaw first snapping Gal's head to remain in control; she slices the mitts thereafter and digs more jabs into the cheeks before slipping by an overhand hook and whacking the ribcage again. Gadot begins to moan in discomfort but tries to clinch the blonde model, gets bounced back in a clash of the boobs and Kurkova nails her with a cross hook on the mouth to remain on top again, a flurry of leather batters the brunette butt-in-ropes but she keeps the high guard to prevent further damage, clinches the blonde to see out the second round in succession but the crowd's all behind the Czech model now and smells a late rally to salvage the Barnet pride.

Round 8:
Gal's a bit unsure whether she should protect her lead or simply engage in a vicious punchfest with the more aggressive Karolina; the Czech model goes all-in and really dwells on the crowd's support as she thumps the brunette's breadbasket and finds the uppercut on the jaw that gives Gadot all kinds of trouble by this stage. This is where the experience comes to the fore and Karolina's high-tempo jabbing prevents the Israeli from a successful response, the girl just weaves around in defence but doesn't have the speed advantage anymore and falls into single strikes on the head, the mitts struggle to stay in tact as well and Kurkova gains upperhand through sheer ammount of leather rather than a one punch wonder. Gadot's efforts to bide some time and somehow grind her way through the late stages fail to succeed, she gets thumped onto the ropes in the dying seconds and endures another breadbasket misery with the Czech blonde drilling her way to glory and shouting abusive words in her native language at the bell.

Round 9:
Brunette wants to brawl after all, accepts the leather exchange but the midriff assault so effective early on is nowhere to be seen now as Gal's clearly struggling to find her breath and gets whacked across the mouth again with Karolina ripping her mitts into the face and cutting the brunette up by the minute mark. Gadot tries to clinch but gets shoved away in another clash of the boobs and fails to connect with a subsequent hook on the temple... no such worries for the blonde who clubs her on the nose with another cross hook on her own and a loud scream fuels the Barnet crowd into more support... Kurkova all over the brunette's face now as the arms drop dangerously low for Gal and she's battered back to the ropes with the strenght & stamina clearly on the blonde's side, she thumps more uppercuts into the chin and closes Gadot's eyes who's trapped for good and has no response in her... furious blonde girl sways her back & forth and tries to disfigure her face but then catches a better thought and whacks Gadot on the solar plexus in carbon copy of the fourth round... It works again as this time it's the brunette heading for the canvas but not just taking a knee.. GAL SLIDES DOWN ON HER SIDE and she's really gone through a nightmare here with a red-faced Kurkova adjusting her hair and just watching on if the Wonder Woman can get up to live another day... yes, she can but it' a slow and painful try, Gal's up at eight, her face littered with lumps albeit there's a spark in her eye left; she enforces a clinch thereafter as Karolina shows signs of fatigue after all, that late rally cost her a lot of energy but managed to put a dent to the brunette's hopes and we're gonna see one last round in the Main Event.

Round 10:
Kurkova catches her breath back quicker than the brunette and traps her in another exchange, shatters the mitts apart at will now with Gal struggling to find anything in the reserve tank and just getting bullied around as she eats more leather on the face and fails to secure a clinch. Karolina noticed that before and just keeps the intensity, fires away between the arms and sends Gadot's head swiveling back & forth, reverts into midriff assault afterwards and it just closes the brunette's eyes as she tries to hold her ground but gets pushed back to the ropes and she really looks done physically here, more shots on the liver follow as Kurkova can have her ways late on and just pierces the Israeli's ribcage, thumps it like a drum and the moans are getting louder and louder... Gadot's ribs battered to the limit and the girl just collapses in wake of all that leather, bends to the side but the knees give way regardless, Kurkova presses her boobs against the aching foe and drills the ribs until Gal can't take it anymore and SLIDES DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE... another count, another painful effort from the Wonder Woman to force the decision... she's up at eight but now holds her ribs in visible pain and the ref raises his eyebrows but won't call a late stoppage even if it's the Lioness playground. Punchbag time for the brunette though as she raises her arms only to have them whacked apart with Kurkova thumping her mitts against the face and now she really wants to disfigure the Israeli girl, snaps her head back & forth and it's a slaughter in the ring with Gal's face getting drilled to the extreme... but the clock will expire anytime now and can Kurkova still get that KO... five seconds left and she nails Gadot on the jaw one last time and the brunette shimmy shakes to the side before just collapsing onto her knees and face-first on the canvas moments later... but the clock expires just as she makes one last noise and is left horizontal on the deck with arms above her head and there's no official knockdown nor a knockout either... still a 10-7 round for the Czech blonde who's got nothing in her to celebrate a potential come-from-behind success...

After a lenghty break to revive an absolutely ransacked brunette back to her stool we go to the scorecards... it's five rounds each but two knockdowns to one and that last round demolition give the fight to your winner through unanimous decision... Karolina Kurkova!!!

AFTER: Huge roar from the Barnet crowd and the Czech model starts blowing kisses around but she really was pushed all the way and beyond tonight. In fact she looked roasted at half-distance before one small mistake from Gadot turned the Main Event on it's head. However it's hard to imagine what can the Israeli model do once she gains all that experience. She's showed some impressive punching resistance already after getting effectively dissected by the blonde in the last two rounds and leaves the KO Club with her face battered to a pulp, yet with a great deal of respect which makes her Christine Bleakley drubbing even more praise worthy. And she gets an applause from Karolina as she heads back to center of the ring to milk some attention. Both girls share a friendly hug and leave the ring together undoubtfully to take a well deserved shot in the bar.

A fight worthy of all the BBU Main Events concludes the Barnet action and the fans look forward to another chapter of the Lioness Club and Lookout! Atlantic Boxing rivalry when Rosie Jones will try to take the bantamweight title away from Charlotte Church at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff next week.
