Before: Lohan allowed to step directly to Claire, bypassing the formidable HISC gatekeeping duo of Williams/Hannigan - lack of respect for the high-profile ingenue? "Yep," Danes shrugs with a grin, "I guess that pretty much sums it up. It's pure economics: Lohan's just about the biggest cash cow in the division - I'm not about to squander that on my wing-women. Lindsay's all mine - every penny of her!" Lohan eager to prove Danes wrong - redhead pitting her enthusiasm against Claire's oft-baffling ring generalship - and feeling very good about her chances. "Claire Danes has risen to the top of a very mediocre pile," says a provocative Linds. "I'm not saying I'm the boxer she is, but I'm a way harder puncher, and I'll work her to ribbons on the inside. I'm going to beat Claire up - rough her up - take rounds from her. It's going to be a long night for Claire, and she's going to know very early on that I'll be walking away the champion." Claire in crimson bikini, bra strap top, mid-calf red/white two toned boxing boots with tassles. Lohan in lavender jazz print bikini, tan UGG boxing boots. Small gloves, both vixens - white for Claire, black for Lindsay.

During R1: Early feinting, posing, mugging broken up by a sweetly timed Danes right hand - darting shot claps to jaw, startling Linds, sending her reeling back on her heels all wide-eyed. Claire following up with lapping, batting body attack, raking Lohan hooks all along the ropes as slender redhead tries to wiggle out of harm's way. Linds grimacing, pulling down on Claire's head to spin off the ropes: Danes doing a nice job pivoting-with the movement, coming out of her crouches with wide hooks and catching Lohan as she backs out. Linds looking scattered, awkward as she backpedals - well and truly touched by the champion for a shutout first.

R2: Danes continues her bossy ways - hard lead right hands over the top; snappy hooks while torso-twisting to the right, drawing that left hand tight to her breasts on follow through, tucking her chin behind the left shoulder. Lohan's bailing out, trying to leg around the aggressive champion. Not working: Danes pivoting-with, cutting off the ring and tagging Lindsay's chin as she's backing away - Double-L hounded to ropes, uncertain what to do as Claire surges in with helicoptering combinations. Totally un-Danes like assault: ratchetting hooks and crosses, pinging jabs as she resets her feet, straight right hands - Lindsay pasted chest and face as Danes dips and chips away both dukes. Down the stretch, Linds finally gets to Claire via the left uppercut - clipping it tightly while keeping the right close to cheek. Danes gives ground, legs out the clock with a serious expression to widen her lead on the cards.

R3: Lohan over to offence - ranging in on Claire with pinging lead right hands and lanky hooks - flicking out the jab from the elbow to keep Danes from countering in early action. Danes turning behind her left shoulder, pivoting with her left (front) foot in a bucket - sinewy stuff from both women as Linds tries to track her elusive foe midring. Danes nipping back at fat-free ribs - sticking in straight right hands to chest, lathering hooks to tummy while slipping Lindsay's headshots. Lindsay responding with well-schooled step-outs - wide ranging action starts to take in the whole ring as mobile vixens thrust and parry. Claire getting the better of competitive, tactical fighting - Lindsay unhurt, but getting routinely touched, tapped and scuffed as Danes salts away her third straight. Danes grinning into the BSE corner after the bell, sauntering past with a cocky strut: Claire looking to worm her way in between Lohan's ears through 3.

R4: Lindsay's eyes narrowed in concentration - she darts in with a long, fencer's jab, trying to touch Claire's brows: Danes ducks, swivels, slides away from the contact. Danes slashing back at waist and ribcage - leaning side to side to paint her strokes against Lohan's youthful torso, drawing a curl of frustration from Lindsay's lips as scoring blows accumulate. Final minute, Claire comes up short a right hand, misjudging Lohan's step-out: Linds immediately pounces back in with a right hand to the chin - BUCKLING CLAIRE'S KNEES! Danes right knee nearly touches down - she straightens, reels to her right, barely evading a wide, sweeping Lohan hook. Lindsay striding in like a miniature Jenny O'Dell, letting her hands go - small gloves score with cracking reports against Claire's cheekbones, bouncing strawberry blonde skull and draping Danes stunned on the ropes. BELL! Lohan's late right hand stalls as the ref jumps in: Danes saved from a nasty finishing run as she hobbles back to her corner wobbly-butt.

R5: Claire playing slap-n-swivel - pivoting sharply left, chin tucked behind that left shoulder, dragging her front foot in a bucket as Lohan's slicing blows carve air. Danes making the Double-L miss, then stroking her waist, licking hooks to the flank, slapping right hands to the cheek - not devastating stuff, but startling - Lindsay visibly surprised, overreacting when she's tagged by sneaky Claire. Great recovery round for the champ - she circles her foe, slipping and rolling every Lohan offering while sampling that lean torso for shutout points in the fifth. "Skunked ya!" Claire hoots as girls pass en route to corners - Lohan keeping her face immobile, despite the darkening blush on her cheeks.

R6: Linds looking more and more to punch - she's red-faced, huffing and puffing as she lashes hard rights and swinging lefts - nice lithe delivery, but only grazing contact on elusive Claire. Danes with that sharp tuck-and-pivot routine, constantly swivelling 'round Lindsay's right flank - Claire's mitts busily sampling the Lohan ribcage and tummy snik-snak off the counter. Danes frequently ducking, coming up behind Lohan underneath Lindsay's swings - lightly hugging the ingenue up around her waist - Claire's face smug in behind Lindsay's bony shoulder. Lohan fuming at the bell - made to look an amateur in the sixth.

R7: Lindsay takes a little off the fast ball - playing Claire's game now. Double-L working behind a flickering jab, looking to drop the right hand in behind it off the front foot: Danes responds with head movement/sharp clockwise pivots with her left (lead) foot anchored. Claire counter-attacks to the ribcage, licking hooks and slicing sidearm right hands in: Lohan responds with leg, bounding out of range, circling back into range with wary eyes. Claire with the more meaningful touches, builds her lead going into the championship rounds.

R8: Similar stuff - Claire slipping Lohan's punches; Lindsay dancing away from Claire's. Minute mark, Double-L manages to clout Claire a strong right hand across the cheek, stepping out as Danes tries to answer immediately. Linds dangling her left hand low as she backpedals, cuffs Claire's ear a ringing wallop, sidesteps as Claire stumbles past. Lohan tap-stepping to her left, swiping her right hand down, out and around - CLAPPING contact to Claire's left eye has the champ momentarily befuddled. Slinging left uppercut - Lohan up on her toes as she hops forward with it, brushing Danes across the face, then managing a left elbow strike against Claire's cheek as an after thought! Danes rattling backwards, shaking her head - she's hurt, trying to rally - Lohan stalks her, swats her a licking left hook, a licking left hook and a DRILLING RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES! Pinpoint poke - Lohan just stamping that right fist dead square and flat, bringing the right back to her shoulder as she eases weight to her back (right) foot: Claire staggering back on her heels, sits down with a stunned expression, scooting to a bouncing stop at the ropes. Poor Claire! Danes knuckles on canvas, trying to push herself up off her rump - no go first attempt. Second attempt, rickety Claire tries to roll to her right hip and rise - no go! Danes' legs stretched out in a useless 'V' before her as she sits up pretty, unable to rise - Lohan breaks into chirping laughter as ten count passes the champ by! KO8 for the winner and NEW flyweight champ - Lindsay freaking Lohan!

After: Knightly in the audience, standing in shock, hands in her hair - that was HER KO going to Lindsay! Danes blubbery, still seated - upperbody works fine, legs just won't cooperate as seconds rush to help Claire up. Lohan a prancing pony - all sunny smiles, lashing Mish and Hannigan ringside with insufferable gleeful looks - it's good to be the queen. Ugly taunting of ramshackle Claire as she's helped to her stool - Lohan screaming "I punked you! I totally punked you!" earning frosty glares from the HISC flyweight contingent. Top it off: a clapping, grinning Portman joins in the fun at HISC expense, clearly relishing the chance to give the meanest little vixens in boxing a taste of their own medicine. "She was very hard to locate, very hard to pin down, but I knew if I were patient that I would eventually solve her," a giddy Lohan reports in postfight. "My straight punch is devastating at this weight - there's not a girl anywhere NEAR 110 pounds who can take it. Oh, and I want to dedicate my first title to Tractorpull, those..." (expletives deleted on HBO broadcast as Lohan's temper rises at the mere thought of TP).
