CELEBRITY BOXING AFTER DARK

Before: Independent Fighter Anna Paquin comes to Dunwich for her first FCBA fight in nearly a year. Anna says, “I’ve been very busy fighting for HBO, mostly apartment, but some boxing. If the FCBA wants to see more of me all they have to do is call.”

Allison excited to be back in action, “I need to be more active, I want to get in the ring a few more times this year. Anna doesn’t have much of a history in FCBA, but she’s been know as a good celeb fighter since her X-men days.” Allison going for a four win in a row.

Anna comes to the right, blonde hair pulled back into fighting ponytail. The True Blood star goes with all black, halter top, bikini bottoms, gloves and boots. She looks confident as she warms up in her corner. Allison comes out bouncing to the ring followed by Sally Richardson and Joanne Kelly, Kelly looking down still after her poorest outing in the FCBA, but she’s there to support her co-star and friend. Scags is wearing a light blue bikini with white gloves and short ankle high boots.

Round 1: Allison out quick throwing her jab out touching up Anna and keeping her off balance. Paquin tries countering off the jab, but Scags slips away from the blonde and scores with follow up shots to the blonde’s flanks. Anna strikes back, but most of her punches bounce harmlessly off Allison’s arms and shoulders. The entire round looks like the blonde is running on gear below the red head as Scags takes a clean 10-9. Anna stomps back to her stool frustrated, but unhurt. Allison looks confident as she listens to Sally run down her between round instructions.

Round 2: The action is very similar, Allison controls the pace and Anna can’t meet it. Though Paquin avoids any big blows, the blonde looks oddly comfortable even as she takes more leather than she is giving. The blonde watches Scags trot to her corner after losing her second round, Paquin snorting in frustration, maybe.

Round 3: Here we go again, Allison jab, countering the blonde’s offense. BLAAMM! Down goes Scagliotti, finally Anna found her opening and frozen Scags with a shot to the solarplexus and followed with a right cross that put Allison on her knees. The IFFI girl is up at five and takes the eight, her cheeks puffing. Anna storms in but Allison slips away and fades away from the barrage keeping her backside off the ropes. Anna wants to finish it hear and gets too greedy, Allison now counters off Anna’s attack and slams a right into the blonde’s temple Paquin goes down to hands and knees. Anna shakes her head getting back to her feet, but Allison storms in after the eight count pinning Paquin against the ropes, but the bell sounds before Scags could crack open her opponent’s defenses.

Round 4: After both going down in the third, caution might have been the course to take, but Anna and Allison come head on again. Early round is more brawl than the IFFI corner likes, and Paquin again gets the upper hand with an upper cut that splits Alli’s gloves and locks her knees. Anna throws a two punch combo to into the vapor locked up fighter dropping her on her backside. Allison rolls over to all fours crawling to the ropes to get back to her feet beating the count. Anna rushes in to clean up, Allison soaks up lots of damage, but continues to fight back and clinch to keep the referee from stepping in. Anna wins her first round but now has the fight tied up on the score cards with a 10-8 round.

Round 5: This round is why the FCBA is not for the feint of heart. Allison and Anna meet mid ring and barely move for the entire round, Anna works to keep the fight from the edges, but Allison works just as hard. Both women and caught with hard shots to the body and head some of which force the blonde or the redhead to clinch for a reset of action. It’s hammer and tongs bell to bell and at the end Scag’s squeaks out a close round, but both fighters are shiny as they head back to respective corners.

Round 6: The round starts off the same as the previous round, Anna catches Alli with a hard shot to the solar plexus and follows with a pair of clubbing shots to the head SCAGLIOTTI TAKES A KNEE! The overwhelm redhead pounds the canvas with a glove while listening to the count, she’s up at six and ready at eight. Paquin stalks down the IFFI fighter putting Allison’s butt on the ropes. The True Blood star is looking for blood as she wades in, Scagliotti in full defensive mode waits it out before she can jab her way off the cables and steals some of Anna’s thunder late, but it’s not enough to keep Anna from taking a big 10-8 round.

Round 7: Allison gets an earful in the corner between rounds, the usually snarky red head is silent listening to Salli Richardson the head trainer clearly not wanting any answers. The pep talk seems to work as Allison shows for the first time she’s much quicker than Anna, Scags is moving behind the jab keeping Paquin off balance. The Blonde tries countering off the jab and leaves herself open for a hammering combo that locks Anna’s knees and DOWN GOES PAQUIN! Anna rubbery legged get to her feet, she assures the referee she can continue, she is convincing enough. Allison though is not so sure and she shows it backing Anna into a neutral corner, leather smacking off sweaty skin over and over. Allison drives a shot just above Anna’s navel and the blonde spits out her mouth piece in pain, the referee starts moving forward. Allison doesn’t slow pounding blonde ribs and then snaps Anna’s head back with an upper cut and that’s all the referee needs to see. Allison runs around the ring and the referee hugs Anna to safety helping the blonde to her stool.

After: Anna and Allison meet mid ring and hug, Scagliotti showing some respect as she has her arm raised and hugs Anna again. Allison subdued for her norm after this fight. Later Scags meets up with the press and explains, “It’s tough for the women without representation, Anna has to do all her training on her own, get her own fights. I don’t know I would be so committed so Anna deserves the respect. Don’t worry fellows I’m not giving up on any of the snark, there are lots of women out there that deserve it.”
