Alex Curran returns to BBU action after few months on the sidelines but mounting another challenge towards the peak of the welterweight rankings seems unlikely according to Charlie Webster. Still the blonde Merseyside model sits in a much better position than Vanessa Amorosi who was cut from the Wildetime Boxing roster following the change of ACB ownership in the spring. But the dark-haired singer thinks she can turn some heads around by knocking Curran out and prove that sending her into free agency was a mistake.

Round 1:
Alex romps away into the brunette and slams her on the cheeks seconds in the fight; before Vanessa can react she's eating a faceful of leather and tries to clinch instead of responding, a bad mistake as Alex ups her aggression and keeps snapping the head back. Vanessa is backed into the ropes and just completely out of her stance, swings high for any sort of contact but eats a quick hook on the nose and sags on her knees; Curran barks in delight already as she works her mitts in frantic fashion, bounces off the breasts and clubs Amorosi with an overhand hook on the nose to make the singer moan and cover up in despair. All Curran towards the bell, heavy slaps catch the lacklustre Aussie around the elbows and leave totally sagging at the bell; Charlie Webster is surprised Alex didn't score a knockdown there and the blonde model is just annoyed over the same miscue.

Round 2:
Vanessa tries to announce herself in the ring but gets whacked on the nose straight away as Alex pierces her mitts and digs more facial leather shortly thereafter. Poor brunette gets pummelled around the ring and finds no response until Curran bashes her onto the ropes well before the minute mark and slams her mitts against the breasts to cause another shriek of pain coming from the Aussie's lungs. Huge left hook nails Vanessa on the eye before a right uppercut destroys the guard and finds the chin... Amorosi wobbles off the ropes and bends forward where the blonde cross hooks her on the nose and snaps the head back; follows up with another uppercut on the jaw and VANESSA TUMBLES TO THE CANVAS with her head bobbing back & forth and the poor singer just unable to live with Curran's pace & vicious demeanour... Alex surely wants to join the elite welters again and she's extremely annoyed to see the brunette getting up at six and somehow nodding back to the ref.. more leather on the cheeks follows and snaps Amorosi's dark tresses around her neck, left hook nails her on the nose and a right hand drives against the chin with lethal precision as Vanessa's guard is simply nowhere tonight... Vanessa spins around the ropes but Alex still slams her on the ribcage in time to cause arms to drop alltogether; a small pause as a misty eyed singer turns back only to get creamed with a right hook on the jaw that removes her mouthpiece flying into the stands... AMOROSI GOES DOWN FLAT ON HER FACE with a loud thump and there's every chance the blonde knocked her to the orbit before she even hit the deck... KO2 Alex Curran!!!

AFTER: This was simply brutal from the Merseyside model who's in full destruction mode to follow her husband's World Cup plans. Even Charlie Webster is surprised by the quick & vicious nature of Amorosi's departure and if any BBU welters needed extra indications whether Alex is ready to mix it up with the best they should ask no more questions. However it was just not good enough from the Aussie brunette, Vanessa arrived in Cardiff with a massive mental block on her mind and once she realized what's going on she was staring down at the canvas already. In fact, she probably never realized what happened out there tonight and has to endure a quick trip to the medical centre while a rampant blonde model dwells on her incredibly furious knockout victory instead! Steven Gerrard is ready for the World Cup in Brazil and so is his wife for a quick tour of the welterweight division this summer!
