Lara Bingle vs Naomi Watts

Since a break out year in the FCBA in 2008 which included wins over Ledoyen, Miller, Spearritt and Lohan, and an 09 win over Williams, it has not been plain sailing for Watts. She has been lightly fought over the last 5 years and has nothing to show for that. The worst of those a round 1 KO loss in a rematch against Sienna Miller.

Lara Bingles record reads just as poorly. Her biggest effort was on debut against Havana Brown when most would say she should have won. Followed by another close one against Mulheron in the BBU.

Neither girl is a slouch in the ring so this should be a great fight. And the result guarantees one of them will get off the mark.

Round 1

Bingle teaching her much older opponent a boxing lesson. Strong and lean young flyweight circling Watts. She’s on the move, stiff jabs at the openings, belting Naomi’s face and shoulders. Bingle owns the ring, working the older girl around. Watts struggling, high guard, feet slapping, not offering anything. Lara Bingle lecture 1 almost over as she dances around, jabbing at the confused opponent, knocking her head this way and that.

Round 2

The fans loving this performance by Bingle, very different to the norm. Watts bamboozled by her pace, taking a quick left right combo to the chin. Lara drops her right hand and fires three quick jabs on the chin. She dances to her left and tries it again, three more scoring punches. Watts a deer in the headlights. More scoring punches as the reddened face of Watts takes another trio of jabs. Trying to come forward now but taking leather to the chin. Bingle deep in concentration with a stubborn grin, left jabs a plenty. Still nothing from Watts. Change up from Bingle, slashing the left hook across Naomi’s face. Head snap to the left and Watts is left swaying at the bell. Total shutout by Lara.

Round 3

The crowd goes wild as Bingle offers a little taunt to Naomi. Watts storming forward, reaching hook at Lara who leans away surprised and takes it all on the nose. Blinks it off, shaking her arms by her sides. Gets back to the circling as Naomi watches patiently. Wide slapping punches from Bingle again, catching Watts napping. Right hands now as a sweeping hook takes the jaw and Watts is slipping sideways to the ropes. Bingle in low and fast, slugging hooks into the exposed mid section as Watts starts to come apart. Knees bending in, wincing in pain as she sits back in the ropes at the bell. Bingle skips away with a little fist pump as she looks to have this one stitched up.

Round 4

Another little taunt from Lara as she circles but Naomi comes on a little stronger getting right in the younger girls space. Clubbing, bruising, left and right jabs into the body, Bingle taking hard shots on those well photographed abs. First signs of life from Watts. Not pretty boxing but she is brawling the younger girl around the ring now. Bingle all arms across her abs now but Naomi continues to pound away slamming shots into her forearms. Lara tries to skip sideways and loses her footing, as Watts slugs an uppercut off the left foot and catches all of Bingles face. Young girl hurt! Riding the bike back towards mid ring, Bingle wide eyed and shocked. Catches a SWEEPING RIGHT HOOK across her jaw and DOWN GOES BINGLE!! Out of nowhere Naomi Watts puts her flat on her back mid ring. Lara shakily to her feet at 7. Rearranges her shorts and wipes sweat from her brow as the ref lets it go on. Bingle circling as Watts storms in but it’s a game of cat and mouse as Lara dances around, arms by her side, coaxing the older girl to track her down but there’s the bell.

Round 5

Lara cautious but still circling, guard at her chest, firing off those left jabs. Watts aggressive, walking through it, guard high. She’s really trying to close space, Bingle backed into a corner still jabbing left. Naomi jabbing now at the open face and pops Bingles head over the top rope. Once, twice and a third. Bingle not fazed extends the jab in return. ALL OUT IN THE CORNER! Both girls trading blows to the head. Leather smacking into cheeks. They fall together in a clinch. Ref pulls them apart. Mid ring now, trading blows. Watts catches Bingle on the chin with a CLIPPING RIGHT UPPERCUT, there go the knees! Watts twisting into a clubbing left hook to the body, lifting Bingle off her feet. YOUNG GIRL HURT! Driving straight left jabs at the eye and Bingle is bludgeoned to the ropes. Naomi propping her up at the shoulder with her right, driving the straight left jab into the abs chest and face. Bingle in a daze, taking hard punches to the face. DEVASTATING RIGHT HOOK across the temple and Bingle spins into the corner, catching herself on the top rope and swivelling back for more. Right jab to chin, left jab on the button, reefing uppercuts into the torso as Lara slides down the corner and THE REF STEPS IN! TKO5 NAOMI WATTS

Impressive shutout by Naomi Watts as she was all but dominated for the first 3 rounds. Bingle gallantly on her feet but her face is a mess. She did well to take the fight to Watts and showed signs of improvement. But she is still winless and that would concern YassieD and Nick Whelan. Naomi on the other hand is back in the winner’s circle. Once she figured out how to counter the evasive tactics of Lara, her experience was too much. “I’m not happy with the first 3 rounds. I found it hard to work into the fight but I knew if I could get through those feathery jabs and land a few hard punches, that would be enough to beat her”.

Bingle removing one glove so far, visibly disgusted by that feathery jabs comment. She charges across the ring at the unsuspecting Naomi Watts and just drives a strapped fist straight across her jaw. Naomi goes stiff as an ironing board, tilting sideways, turning slighting and crashing awkwardly face first to the canvas. LIGHTS OUT NAOMI WATTS! Bingle Ali like over her victorious opponent, bent over beating her chest with her fist and screaming “how’s that for a feathery jab you stupid old cow!” OH! Drives her boot right into her fallen foes rib cage. “Huh? How do you like that?!?!”

IT’S NOT THE WWE!!

Watts out cold. Lara reaching down, grabs a handful of her golden locks and reefs her up, dragging her across the ring. Lara lifts her up by the arm pits, propping the unconscious woman in the corner as the horrific beating continues. Lara lashing away at Naomi’s face as her sleepy head snaps left and right with each vicious blow.

Security clearly late onto the scene to pull the angry young girl away. Naomi Watts, hanging Jesus like in the corner, with her head dangling dangerously and blood trickling to the canvas. She’s in the hands of the doctors and Lara Bingle is being bounced out of the ring screaming “LET’S DO THAT AGAIN b###h!”

We haven’t heard the end of this.
