Ms Forscutt is on fire at the moment, with a stellar 2013 behind her and an impressive TKO of Kelly Rowland to begin her 2014 campaign. Widely regarded as the best Lightweight in the BBU, she appears the likely challenger to Miranda Kerr’s BBU title.

Rachael is coming off that shock title loss to Poppy Montgomery, having dominated the entire fight before being knocked out in the dying seconds. Prior to this was another shock loss to Rochelle Wiseman who, although an accomplished fighter, was not expected to beat the former ACB champ and certainly not expected to get the result which secured the Ashes for the Poms.

Form would suggest Forscutt is a shoe in but Finch has a bone to pick with Montgomery and the winner here will definitely get a shot at that title.

Round 1

Electrifying opening with both fighters chiming in with quick hooks. Finch buzzed early, she’s hurt, slides to the ropes. Forscutt gleaming, guard at the cheeks, moves in. Rach is wearing the gloved helmet, Krystal digging shots into the exposed mid section. Superb combos of 1 2 3 smacking the abs. She’s coming up top but Finch is blocking most shots and taking some around the ears. Rach hangs on gamely, soaking up the body blows and popping some nice jabs back at the aggressor. Forscutt controlling the round bell to bell as Rach moves cautiously to her corner.

Round 2

Finch turns the tides on Forscutt, meets her midring with the trademark jab, tidy little uppercut on the kisser. In close, Finch working the body. They are leaning on each other, digging shots into the ribs. Short tight exchanges, quick hands. Rach fairing the better of the two, scoring more freely, tidy little uppercut again out of the tussle. That’s got Krystal back pedalling to the ropes, Rachael tracking her down, as Forscutt is all covered up and it’s Rach’s turn to pound that mid section to the bell.

Round 3

More of the same, real close exchanges, both girls in a gloved guard, propping each other on elbows, tight little jabs and hooks, most shots blocked by the guard. Pushing, shoving, propping, guiding each other this way and that. Finch clever, clubbing the body, uppercut to the chin. Forscutt a little dazed, shimmies backward. Finch coming on strong, pounding the abs again as Krystal is wobbly. Takes refuge in the corner, leaning on the apron, Finch bashing away at all openings, OH STRAIGHT JAB through the gloves and Forscutt's guard widens, RIGHT CROSS from Rach and that puts Krystal into gaga land, RIGHT HOOK across the cheek on the bell as Forscutt catches herself on the top rope and hangs there trying to find her feet.

Round 4

Krystal cautiously out, swollen lip, blood nose, cut under the right eye. Rach grinning, in close again, landing short, solid left and right uppercuts. Forscutt backing away to ropes. Finch rising, tall and lean, banging shots on the body as Forscutt struggles for breath. Her guard is high, desperately blocking. Finch explodes, working her opponent all over, blistering pace bouncing Krystal this way and that. Forscutt is woozy, swaying around at the ropes, taking a pasting. Rach continuing with hard body blows and uppercuts, making a mess of that beautiful face. GOES THE JUGS, as Forscutt moans in pure pain! Doubles up the right to the gut then the breast, Forscutt heaving, knees bending in as she crumples to Rach’s feet and DOWN GOES FORSCUTT! Rachael struts away, totally in control of this fight. Shakes her head knowingly to the corner as she cannot let this one slip. Forscutt to her knees at 4 and stumbling around at 7 before gathering some composure. Her face a bloodied mess as the ref calls Rach in. RACHAEL THE RAGING BULL FINCH. 30 seconds left in the fight and Finch has Forscutt cornered, total annihilation in the corner as the former ACB champ just shreds her to pieces, lighting her up with a boxing lesson, as Krystal slides to her butt in the corner at the bell.

Round 5

A rather unscathed Finch is beaming as she meets a bruised, cut and bloodied Forscutt near her corner. Punches her head back a SOLID RIGHT CROSS, follows it with a slugging 4 punch combo of hooks to the flanks, each lifting Krystal, bending her in half, two proppy uppercuts taking all chin set the glassy eyed brunette up for a CRUNCHING RIGHT HOOK across the jaw and DOWN GOES FORSCUTT! Neck snap right, body slowly follows as she leans to the side and her chin awkwardly catches the top rope, bouncing and twisting down onto her back. As nasty a fall as the punch that put her there and she’s out cold! The winner by destructive KO5 RACHAEL FINCH!

Against all odds, Rachael Finch pulls off the upset of the evening. “I was written off by everyone, Krystal this Krystal that. I’m the best Lightweight in the industry. I got complacent against Poppy and she got lucky. I’ve been kicking myself that I didn’t finish it in the 3rd and the 9th ever since. Never gonna let it happen again. You here that Poppy, never”.

Krystal certainly beaten tonight, by a very determined fighter. This will take time to recover from as most thought she had one hand on the title belt. Big questions now as to whether she is the right woman to take on Miranda Kerr for the BBU title.
