A mass of speculation surrounding Delta, with talk that she is the most likely challenger to Erika Heynatz for her coveted BBU Welter title. No doubts what the ACB crowd think, forcing all comers into a last-woman-standing like affair to see who can challenge Erika for the ACB title. She comes into this one undefeated and probably has Ricki-Lee’s measure.

Coulters record was reading well even after the loss to Erika Heynatz, which at the time was a gallant effort. But her effort against Nicola McLean was poor to say the least. That said, she is an accomplished fighter and certainly has the credentials to put Delta in her place.

Round 1

Ricki-Lee right hand to the temple, leading with a stiff jab. Delta’s right hand at the chest, left coiled for action, fires it at the face, grazing the cheek, jams it into Coulter’s chest. One out of the Whelan training guide. Delta moving well, sliding around Ricki-Lee’s leading jab, jabbing in return or hooking the face. Coulter unable to brawl with Delta, forced to use her feet and move around the ring. Bigger girl backs up Goodrem with some bruising shots, THUMPING body blows put the blonde girl on notice. Delta dancing away, resets, landing wide shots from the outside. Reaching jabs and swiping hooks, too much reach and pace from Goodrem, and Ricki-Lee is taking a pasting. Big girl to slow as Delta ranges in, getting under the jab and lacing the body with solid hooks. Coulter trying to walk through it, forcing Delta backward with pushing shots at the shoulders. But Goodrem continues to make her move stepping wide into a FLASHY LEFT HOOK and nails a RIGHT HAND between the eyes and DOWN GOES RICKI-LEE! OH MY GOODNESS it’s all over in the first, DELTA GOODREM WINS BY KO1!!

That is two very underwhelming performances by Coulter in a row. Natalie Wilde unimpressed as she grabs her Vanitas Barocco jacket and storms off. Ricki-Lee brought around in stages, clearly beaten by a better fighter again tonight.

Still some question marks over Delta’s ability to mix it with the likes of Erika Heynatz but on that performance you would say she is every chance. Erika couldn’t knock Ricki-Lee out, it went 5 rounds.

“If Erika thinks she could give me 5 rounds.....ha ha ha.....she’s dreaming. If she can stay out of my way for that long then she is better than we all think. Just give me a shot and I’ll prove it”.
