Location Cabo Press event one week before the match up.
Kaley, Amy, and Clarie in bikinis sitting at a table in the press tent.
"Welcome to our press event for the upcoming Battle in Cabo event." Alex says with a sweet smile in her yellow sun dress. "Now before any of you ask the rest of the competitors are still over in the states. They won't arrive until later this week a few days before the match ups. Claire came out early to get used to the time difference. Now I'll open it up for questions."
"So we just heard why Claire has came out here early but why are the two of you out here early."
"Well this is one of our favorite places to come on vacation that's one of the reasons that we're fighting out here so I can celebrate for a week after I win." Kaley says with a little giggle.
"That really didn't answer his question Kaley." Amy points out. "To be honest, I was getting really nervous training in Medallion Headquarters. I mean we've got a legend, two going to be three Hall of Famers and all of these titles, trophies. It was really getting to me."
"So you had to escape the pressure? What does that tell us about how you're going to hold up in the ring?"
"Hey, we're wired different." Kaley snaps. "Jessica loves the gym. She could live there. While we like down time to mediate and motivate ourselves. You seen this lady when she walked in. She's going to fight fine."
"I've not been in this spot before and it was actually Eliza not Kaley who recommended that I just get away and train by myself to get my mind in the right place. I haven't been though any of this for a long time. I'm going to go by what a Hall of Famer tells me." Amy then gets a big smile. "I brought Kaley along so her and Jessie would beat the crap out before the fight."
"Do you two really hate each other that much?"
"I love Amy. She's like a sister to me. I don't know what you're talking about." Kaley says then smiles. "Oh you mean Jessica. No I don't hate her. She is a hell of a fighter and we've had such a dynamic. I worshiped her at first only wanted her approval and even after I beat her twice to prove myself she still wouldn't budge. So I got over it then she joined Medallion and thought she was top dog but that's my spot. I don't hate her in fact we work together helping with training of Amy and the others a lot of the time. However she needs to know who the Alpha Female is and that's this California Cutie."
"So what does this fight mean to you with your shot at the Hall of Fame involved?"
"I'm honestly trying my best not to think about that part." Kaley says. "I'm fighting for two things to beat Jessica proving who the best is and to try and get my belt back. The Hall of Fame is fantastic and I'm truly honored to be accepted into it. I mean the legends of our sport ladies I fought. It's a wonderful feeling to be a part of something like that. But my focus is to make Jessica give me that award herself after the fight hopefully if she's able."
"So Amy I know that you said you are nervous about your upcoming return fight but do you have any other feeling about it?"
"I am so excited to be giving the chance to fight again." Amy starts bouncing a bit in her seat. "I've been wanting to do this for a long time and when Piper came to me and told me that I get a shot in the ring again. I was just so happy and I won't let my stable or fans down."
"What are you're feelings on Amy Jo?"
"I love her. She hasn't got a lot of fights in the FCBA but she's a vet and very dangerous to anyone she gets into the ring with. It's going to be a hard fight and I'm going to do everything I can to win." Amy says when Kaley cuts her off.
"This girl will do fine. She's taken punches from me and stood up. Amy also hits really hard for a Flyweight. I mean she's hurt me to the stomach and head. I know that's just one of her best friends saying that but ask any of the Medallion girls who've caught a shot from her and they'll tell you. She's built."
"So did you ever knock Kaley down Amy?"
Amy bites her lip as Kaley looks over at her with the stink eye before the reporters get the idea and continue.
"Now Claire thank you for waiting so patiently. What are your thoughts about fighting Piper here in Cabo?"
"I think this is going to be an amazing fight." Clarie starts sweetly. "This is truly a Bantamweight title elimination fight. Whoever wins is one step closer to the championship and the loser is just another girl. Piper is a great and very underrated fighter but will be just another girl."
"We've heard there has been a lot of tension in the Bantamweights of Odds and Ends Fight Studio."
Claire just shakes her head before commenting. "Well if there is anyone who understands what Kaley and Jessica are both going though it's me. Emmanuelle Vaugier is coming down to Bantam to go after the title. I can't fault her for that though. Then I have Ashley Green joining the stable nipping at me for my spot. I'm the standard bearer for the division and that's just the way it is. She'll learn her place. In a way I'm caught the same way both the Medallion Lightweights are except I'm cheering for Emma to take the belts."
"We've heard rumblings that Summer Glau is interested in fighting you Claire if you beat Piper."
Claire looks over at Alex with a little grin. "We have no comment on that but Summer will be here for the fights and she is a former Bantamweight champion and does like to out do Piper so anything is possible. That will depend on our managements."
Alex looks around at all the reporters. "Nothing else? Thank you all so much for coming." She says with a smile. All the photographers taking pictures of the ladies in their bikinis as they leave. This will be an amazing event here in Cabo.
