CELEBRITY BOXING AFTER DARK

Lyndsy Fonseca is taking a risk, challenging British singer Alesha, who was recently knocked out by Caity Lotz, but took the blonde prospect a grueling 9 rounds, bearing in mind she’s scheduled to fight Tracy Spiridakos at the upcoming PPV, the 27 year old giving Alesha an inch or so in height, but she’s determined to add to the Brit’s losing record.

Alesha’s first into the ring, wearing a red basque top, with matching gloves and boots, and black briefs. Lyndsy is wearing a navy blue bikini, her gloves and boots similarly matched.

Round 1

Alesha’s on her toes tonight, and this is causing Lyndsy some problems, the singer already starting to find her face with some well directed jabs to her face, Lyndsy looking more defensive than usual, perhaps mindful of her next fight, but she needs to concentrate better, with Alesha getting through with a nice combination to her face, following that with a little work on her body, Lyndsy retreating, almost backed up the ropes, and now clinching, with Alesha looking a better prospect in this fight than she was against Caity Lotz, working Lyndsy backwards again, the American covering well, hitting Alesha to her body where she can, but more or less conceding this opening round to Alesha, who prances around the ring like a show pony in the closing seconds, picking Lyndsy off with a left jab, then a right, and looking pleased with herself at the bell.

Round 2

Looking to continue her good work, Alesha stabs out her left jab again, but this time Lyndsy’s swayed clear, and she jabs back, her punch drilling into Alesha’s mouth, and the Brit clinches as soon as she can, needing a breather after taking a swift left cross, right hook combination, the referee swiftly breaking the girls, Lyndsy again snapping Alesha’s head back, the taller girl not looking so confident now as Lyndsy rips at her ribs, Alesha gasping as she takes the younger girls hard shots, her guard gradually dropping, Lyndsy whipping a right over the top, thudding her glove into the side of Alesha’s head, sending the singer sideways, following her as well, and she has Alesha in trouble in the closing seconds, backed up to the ropes, Lyndsy hitting her in the gaps between her gloves, really roughing her up.

Round 3

Lyndsy charges at Alesha at the starts, which looks a little untidy, the girl looking in a hurry to get this job done now, but Alesha’s back in her boxing pose now, her face already a little marked from the punishment she took in round 2, the singer sticking her left jab in Lyndsy’s face, the younger girl frowning as she finds herself eating more leather than she’s landing, coming up short with her retaliation. Lyndsy’s on the ropes, and Alesha gets in tighter to her, but as Lyndsy clinches, she also punches, hurting Alesha with a left hook to the body, the Brit needing to take another breather, not happy as the referee pulls her away, but she gets herself together and jabs Lyndsy again, the younger girl again looking a little annoyed, unable to get inside Alesha’s reach with the older girl boxing on her toes.

Round 4

Alesha shows her boxing talents again at the start of the round, and she’s got Lyndsy backpedalling as she works her left jab at the girl’s face, again concentrates on closing her into the ropes, with Lyndsy again hitting back with some sharp blows to Alesha’s body, landing some good, strength sapping punches, Alesha unable to clinch, tries to land her own punches, but gets herself turned, Lyndsy scoring success with another left hook to Alesha’s midsection, again the Brit’s guard starting to fall, but Lyndsy still goes to her body, eats a pair of jabs, steps back, then comes in for more, re-establishing herself in this round, Alesha needing the break between rounds more than the American actress.

Round 5

Now Lyndsy seems to be winding the pace of the fight up a little, the girl moving well around the ring, and she snaps inside Alesha’s guard, pops the taller girl’s head back with a jab, thuds a right hook into her boobs, and ends this little flurry with a short, sharp uppercut which has Alesha’s head popping upwards and backwards, the singer being forced to cover as she gets in a little closer, not trying to clinch, and Lyndsy punishes her to the body, starts working on poking Alesha into a corner, the Brit not really able to stop her, Lyndsy now punching her twice to the body, and follows that with a great left hook, right hook combination to her face, Alesha’s knees buckling a little, but the girl withstands the pressure, clinches at last, lands a jab, cross combination of her own after the referee breaks and resets the girls, but Lyndsy hurts Alesha again, her left hook punishing the singer to her body, her right hook carshing into her face, once, twice and a third time as Lyndsy finishes a dominant round.

Round 6

Just as with her fight against Caity Lotz, Alesha has taken heavy punishment in this bout, her face showing some bruising, but she’s boxing well again as the girls get underway, Lyndsy having to take a left jab or two in the opening exchanges, hitting Alesha to the belly, but the Brit still comes forwards, starts to get on top of Lyndsy, misses her with an intended right uppercut midway through the round, and Lyndsy crashes a roundhouse right into her unprotected face, Alesha hitting the canvas hard, flat on her back, starfished and out!

Result: Lyndsy Fonseca knocked out Alesha Dixon in round 6.

Poor Alesha got hit by a wrecking ball tonight, sits on her stool, still dazed, after being brought round by her seconds, sobbing loudly as she sees a reflection of her swelling face in the mirror a triumphant Lyndsy Fonseca holds in front of her, the Brit now surely needing to take a break from FCBA action after a devastating defeat.

Lyndsy will go into the PPV with confidence, and, in truth, tonight was a good workout to check on her progress, little more.
