DISNEY & NICKELODEON CHALLENGE BOUTS PART TWO

Selena has been rather low-key about these events, but the opportunity to fight Debby has attracted her interest. Selena has managed some success in FCBA and BBU, whereas this is Debby’s first official FCBA fight. Selena is just 10 months older than Debby, and they are of similar stature, so this fight should be a tight one.

Debby wears a scarlet corset and knickers tonight, with matching gloves and boots, while Selena has chosen to wear a black leather outfit with white gloves and black boots.

Round 1

Both girls are keeping things tight as the fight begins, nothing really going on in the opening seconds as they move around each other, Selena throwing a couple of nice jabs to Debby’s face, which Debby takes easily, swinging a right hook of her own in retaliation, which misses the target, Selena looking more mobile, really geared up now, and batting Debby nicely with a jab, and another, Debby having to stand off, wanting Selena to come and trade punches, but it isn’t happening, and she takes another swift pair of punches to the face before she finally gets home with her own punch, again the right hook, but Selena seems to have absorbed that one quite easily, and she hits Debby again with the jab, Debby giving her too many opportunities to hit her in this opening round.

Round 2

Selena’s jabbing away nicely and accurately, looking like she’s taking control of this fight, but Debby ignores the pair of jabs she has to take from the brunette in the next exchange, and she swings her right glove from fairly wide out, Selena getting caught too, and she staggers backwards from the force of that punch, Debby soon on top of things, punching Selena as the girl\ lays back against the ropes, absorbing most of what Debby’s offering up on her upper arms, but Debby gets a solid right through to her face again, Selena holding and clinching, almost dancing with Debby as the pair wait on the referee parting them. Debby hits Selena to the body from the break, gets one back to her own body, but she dominates the closing moments of the round, sending Selena backwards and hitting her with left and right hooks to the ribs.

Round 3

Selena wants, and needs, to stay clear of Debby’s clubbing punches, and she’s getting some success again, her right jab spearing into Debby’s face, with Debby still responding with her own fire, goind to Selena’s body with some good punches, Selena still jabbing away at her face, Debby’s head being rocked by another good shot. But still Debby’s showing good aggression, and she seems to have hurt Selena with a right hook to the side of her head, spoils things a bit by taking another jab, before digging a right hook into Selena’s flank, only to miss with an intended hook to her face, Selena holding again, pulling Debby inside, both girls landing sharp, stabbing hooks to the body as they each realise they need to work on weakening their opponent before they can even think about stopping her.

Round 4

A good start from Selena causes Debby more trouble, that right jab smacking hard into the redhead’s face, pinking her cheek up a little, but Debby’s working Selena around the ring by thudding her hard hooks into the leather clad girl’s body, Selena having to cover and hold, the referee unhappy with her, parting her from Debby again, and this time Debby reacts very quickly from the break, determined to break Selena down, and she hits her to the body with three, four shots, has to watch as the girl gets free of her, taking another right jab as Selena retreats, but closes her down towards a neutral corner, banging another good punch into Selena’s body, but just not able to connect with her head punches, Selena blocking them, then clinching, Debby becoming frustrated, her plan not coming to fruition, even though she’s dominating this fight.

Round 5

Debby’s coming forward from the start of the round once again, but Selena’s still got that right jab smacking into her face, and now she follows up with a left to the body, Debby taking the punch well, but clearly feeling it, and she stops to mix it up with Selena now, Selena drilling the jab home, and again, Debby not connecting with her responses, and she takes another right hand to the face, now having to step back, needing to protect herself better than this, Selena still getting the jab home, Debby not defending at all, just trying to punch, and Selena’s using her experience as she reacts more calmly, hits Debby again with the jab, and follows that with another left to the body, Debby wincing after that punch, having to clinch herself now, Selena getting the upper hand for the first time since the opening round, and this time she’s the girl who reacts quicker after the break, her jab snapping Debby’s head back, and this time she gives her opponent a left to the jaw, a good punch which Debby takes, fires back with a good one of her own, but Selena has the last word in this round as she hits Debby to the belly with a hard right, Debby gasping after that poke.

Round 6

The girls trade punches early, but Selena’s come out well on top there, ending a swap of three punches each by hitting Debby twice with her right jab, then following up with her left hook, Debby going backwards. Selena has the redhead on the ropes, and she doesn’t want to let her go! She rips into Debby’s body, left and right hooks crashing into the redhead’s midsection, each punch seeming to land, Selena taking her time, hurting Debby with her left and sending her head up with a snappy uppercut, another right jab, then another, Debby’s left cheek really bruised now, the girls just not sure how to stop Selena getting her punches through. She needs to clinch, but Selena’s just too mobile, skips around to the side, and batters Debby to the face, the poor girl looking messed up in there now as Selena again goes downstairs at the bell, taking the wind out of Debby with another shot to the belly.

Round 7

Selena again starts better than Debby by getting that jab of hers smacking into the redhead’s face, but Debby’s coming back, works on Selena’s body again, and she manages to get through to her with a left to the liver which has Selena groaning, following that with a good right to the ribs, and another, before unloading two left hooks to her head, both landing around the ear, Selena again able to land her right jab in defiance, Debby responding well though, working hard inside, really thudding her punches into Selena’s midsection, working her girl remorselessly to the corner, knowing she can hurt her if she can keep her steady, Selena at last leaving a few gaps to attack, if only Debby can get her punches through, and she nails her with a right cross to the mouth in the closing seconds, only to have her attempted left hook blocked, and she misses with a right uppercut which fizzes past Selena’s nose.

Round 8

Still Debby comes forward, looking for Selena’s body, but she’s still eating that right jab, her pretty face becoming mis-shapen, ignores it though, and thumps away at Selena, again working her towards the corner of the ring, stands up straight, and hooks her again to the face, but Selena sidesteps that, and she’s pretty much turned Debby there, backed her up to the turnbuckle, and she lands jab, jab, jab, now the left hook, wobbling Debby as she lays back a little, and now the right hook, Debby unable to withstand that shot, and she’s down. Looking tired and bewildered, Debby’s on her feet at 8, but she looks rough, gets caught again with Selena’s right hook, and half sits on the ropes, recovers her senses, and clinches when an almost as tired Selena gets too close, and the referee again parts the two girls. They resume, Debby trying to fight back, but Selena’s really got to her in this round, and just jabs the life out of her, Debby now really struggling as she staggers to her stool after a horrid round for her.

Round 9

Debby Ryan is still taking the fight to Selena Gomez! She thumps at the brunette’s body again, slamming her left glove hard into the girl’s midsection, but Selena hits back at her, a right, then a left smacking into Debby’s cheeks, the redhead getting sent backwards, then fighting her way off the ropes when Selena gets in at her, Gomez shaking her head in disbelief as Debby seems to have got a surge of energy again, hitting Selena to the face with a good left hook, and to the body with a right, Selena gain having to move backwards, taking half a step, with Debby coming forwards – to be met with a thudding left hook to the cheek, which sends her backwards herself, Selena following that quickly with a right hook to Debby’s jaw, the redhead swaying a little, Selena hitting her to the body, once, twice, Debby more or less hugging herself as she drops her arms, and Selena finishes her off quite clinically with a right hook which sends her down, Debby’s back hitting the ropes first before she jack-knifes over on the canvas.

Result: Selena Gomez knocked out Debby Ryan in round 9.

Selena would love to celebrate her victory, but she’s exhausted, and she’s happy just to stand in the centre of the ring with her arms aloft.

Debby will need to spend the night in hospital, but she put up a great fight, was on top for large passages, but maybe didn’t have the ringcraft to succeed, against a girl who’s record is gradually improving after she had a torrid start to her FCBA career.
