Before: Two of the best dark horse fighters in the business get a chance to take the cuffs off and go to work without fear of being jobbed, Krakowski more notorious as result of numerous PPV and B.A.D. appearances by Bakke’s LA gym reputation legendary—dubbed by some old timers as the “Archie Moore of Celeb Fighting” for her murderous one punch KO power. Bakke can be outhustled as she waits for openings however—Jane definitely the busier fighter can take advantage of this tendency, but she’ll have to stay vigilant. Orange sports bra, red bikini bottoms for Krakowski—Navy sports bra, bikini bottoms, hair back in a tight bun for Bakke.

During R1: Bakke with her left low, right at her cheek—Krakowski with a similar look—girls cautiously circle, reaching in left jabs to one another’s bellies while looking for right hands upstairs. Midway through, Bakke displays that subtle, shuddering power—just twitching a short right hand across Jane’s chin that has the blonde stepping in fence post holes, Krakowski hurt, sets up defensively at the ropes, gloves at her face, bobbing side to side, Bakke finishes up with withering body shots—sinking in anvil left hands behind the elbow to soften Krakowski up for later.

R2: Jane shakes it off, comes back with busier hands, putting punches together then stepping left around the brunette, keeping Bakke’s feet moving. Krakowski working in close, touching the body, doubling up to the head with either hand—it’s good, brisk professional stuff, Down the stretch, Bakke gets it all back—rolling with a Krakowski right. Brenda counters with a short right hand from her chest, just fitting the punch onto Jane’s chin and once againKrawko0wski’s legs quiver helplessly. Brenda pounding the gut and sides of a helpless blonde at the ropes to consolidate her one punch wreckage—steals a Krakowski round with cool-eyed determination.

R3: Krakowski recovering well during the breaks—come out taking the initiative once again as Bakke’s famous patience betrays her. Jane getting iff, then turning her girl, stepping left and right around Brenda, hooking off the jab, banging the body and head in equal measure. Bakke launching that devastating shirt right hand late, but missing—it’s still enough to get Jane out of her rhythm, Good final minute of body work from Bakke as her numbing left hooks sinks into Jane’s side, cudgeling the blonde along the ropes at the bell, Jane shaking her head “no”—that’s her round.

R4: Jane charges up a little, getting her shoulder into Bakke’s chest to work the body more deliberately, Spanking lefts and rights from Jane, then she nudges Brenda onto her heels with the shoulder butt to keep the pressure on. Bakke no good moving backwards—she’s just covered up high, turning her body into punches, then suddenly, she drops a quick right hand counter from her temple, beating Jane’s right cross and leaving the blonde leaning dangerously out over her feet. Bakke taking over down the stretch—she bodies a sleepy-eyed Jane into the ropes, then reefs left hands into the side, beating Krakowski senseless at the bell. Through four, Jane’s dominated most of the minutes, but the points are going to Bakke because if these monster, sneaky power shots.

R5: Once again, a good start from Jane is brought to a shuddering halt as midway through—Bakke measuring Krakowski with a nothing jab, suddenly bites down a bashing short right, catching all of Jane’s jaw and leaving the blonde defenseless yet again. Same pattern for Bakke—once she has Jane swooning, she goes body, crumpling the blonde up against the ropes with wrecking ball hooks to the side, then bodying up. Holding Jane in her left to stuff right hands to the belly at the break. Krakowski damaged goods, gets the smelling salts in her corner as she is ALL banged up through 5.

R6: Bakke stalking—Jane now broken down. Moving slower—girls just measuring each other without a lot of punching. Suddenly, Brenda working off that throw away, lazy left hand, rockets over the top with another right hand blast, pounding Jane’s head to the sider and sending her reeling sideways to the ropes. Big bad beat down as Bakke squares u, goes at Jane with heartless, hamfisted abandon. Body punching sending shivers up Brenda’s arm as she lands with crippling force—Krakowski folded up, sliding to her left into the corner--it’s brutal one-sided action. Down the stretch, Brenda pushing up on Jane, then pulling out to clock the jawline—Jane reads it, beats Bakke to the hook and DOWN GOES BRENDA! Jane stumbling to a neutral corner—Bakke in shock, on her elbows, barely beats the count. Both beauties waving badly at the bell, staring in awe at one another as the ref jumps in.

R7: Brenda B with a beautiful feint gets Jane covering low, then licks the left hand up and across the blonde’s forehead to put Jane in trouble AGAIN. Krakowski doing a great job defending herself when hurt—she’s clinching, slipping and bobbing at the ropes. She can’t stop Bakke from bashing her body, but Brenda can’t find the follow up chin shots she seems to need to end the blonde’s night. Shutout Bakke, but Krakowski lucky ti get out of the round.

R8: Brenda walking Jane down, punishing her to the body, then turning over the right hand upstairs—but some of the steam has gone out of the brunette’s murderous punching. Krakowski fielding the blows well, able to get her legs under her and do some things late—shoeshining Bakke’s breasts and belly at the bell.

R9: Shutout Jane Krakowski. Bakke seems lethargic--pivoting center ring. Gloves at her lips, letting Jane get off to the body and head with a nice, crisp delivery. Krakowski not even thinking about stopping her for—she’s just quick-mitting it into Brenda, then turning the brunette to avoid receipts—smart, tough boxing from the blonde.

R10: Brenda hounds Jane to a corner in the first minute—Krakowski brilliant in using the corner ropes. Bouncing side to side, turning her shoulder, then slipping out under a wide right hand from Bakke to escape. Jane pointing her left shoulder at Brenda, swats the hook wide to the ear, then lures Bakke forward into sneaky right hands from the closed stance. Potshotting, boxing on the retreat from Jane gets her the round, but not the decision—Bakke takes a close 6-4 split.

After: Economical Brenda doing the most with the least number of punches, has Jane consistently hurt in this fight—tremendous effort from Krakowski to avoid being knocked out, and even turn this fight around in the late going. Jane disappointed however—she’s been campaigning for a title shot at lightweight and a loss like this undoes a lot of good work she’s done throughout the year.
