Both fighters are still new to the FCBA with Tatiana only in her second bout (her first was a KO loss to Emilia Clarke) while Adelaide is struggling to keep her place in the highly competitive PLP organization, but is coming off a TKO win over Jayne Parker Kennedy. Adelaide takes notice of Tatiana’s loyal “Orphan Black” fan base and stirs up her own “Reign” fan base by showing up at press events in royal robes and crown as “Queen Adelaide”.

“What a bunch of crap!” sneers a disgusted Tatiana. “She’s no more royal than I am! If she thinking she can distract me with this ‘Queen Adelaide’ nonsense she is in for a big shock! I’m going to cut ‘Her Majesty’s’ ego down to size and take her out—hard!”

“My, my,” Adelaide says when her turn at the podium comes, “it’s getting so a girl can’t have fun around here without some other girl feeling threatened. Don’t worry Tati, I won’t send you to the chopping block after I beat you. After all, a good ruler of the ring, should show a little mercy to new girls who don’t know any better.”

Tatiana flushed red and looks like she’d like to knock that crown right off Addie’s head, but she controls herself. Whispering under her breathe to Adelaide: “Just wait until I get you in the ring.”

Addie just smiles regally: “I, too am eager for that, but you will soon learn why I am called the ruler of my rings.”

(Loud snort of derision from the Canadian. The Australian just smiles again and walks back to her seat).

Fight night finds Queen Addie approaching the ring in a white fur trimmed deep red robe and crown. She doffs both in the ring to reveal a deep red bikini with a golden crown on the hip. Dark red gloves and high boxing boots. Tatiana has opted for a black bikini top, gold bikini bottoms with black boots and gloves. Both fighters with their hair pulled back into tight braids. Tense ring instructions as Tatiana glowers at a smirking Adelaide.

R1: Bell rings and fighters come quickly out of their corners and Tatiana able to strike first with a ringing shot to Adelaide’s left temple, followed by nice follow up uppercut to the chin. Addie looks stunned and Tati wastes no time in her follow up attack. She lights up the Australian fighter’s face again and again in the early minute. Addie looking confused, but finally manages to get her guard together and jab back. Canadian dancing around her opponent trying to find openings and finds most of them to Addie’s body. Rounds ends with a wide win on the cards for Tatiana. Adelaide breathing hard as she walks back to her corner, She felt Tati’s punches that round!

R2: Tatiana again on the march against Adelaide, but Addie has her defenses in order and makes a strong fight of it. Two circle in a fierce exchange of leather. Addie finding Tatiana’s ribs and swabbing those flanks every chance she gets. Tatiana working the belly with some head shots whenever she sees a chance. Addie narrows the punch gap in this stanza, but Tatiana still able to edge her out to win the round.

R3: Adelaide Kane goes on the attack, but is met by a still-aggressive Tatiana Maslany. More circling exchanges at mid ring with Addie continuing to make the Canadian suffer to the ribs. Australian also better on the defense, keeping her body and head in motion so that Tatiana nit landing so flush this round. Still Tatiana does bang Addie’s head with a couple of good punches, but Adelaide able to recover and go back to work on those ribs. Adelaide and Tatiana keep up the battle to the bell with Addie getting the edge on the cards this time and winning her first round of the fight.

R4: Tatiana not about to let Adelaide gain dominance comes right at her as soon as the bell rings. Furious exchange with both fighters getting their heads knocked around and their bodies worked over. Circling, punching, ducking and then coming back for more, this is crowd-pleasing back and forth action. Late in the round Tatiana starts grimacing at Adelaide’s relentless work on her ribs and hunches up protectively, then Addie slips some rising uppercuts to Tati’s chin sending tremors through the Canadian’s body. Still Tatiana counters with a nice hook to the belly that makes Addie hunch up herself, but the bell rings and judges give Tatiana another round by a narrow margin.

R5: Tatiana looks confident coming out for this round, but she runs into a determined Adelaide who lashes out with some sharp punching to the head that creates a small cut over Tatiana right eye. Tatiana tries to jab back, but Addie is moving well and evading most of the counters. Then Adelaide shifts back to working those ribs and Tatiana is looking increasingly distressed, though she grits her mouthpiece to stifle any gasps of pain, but Addie can tell she’s got the Canadian hurt. Tatiana tries to protect her flanks by moving away, but Adelaide shows good pursuit skills, cutting off the escape and never letting up on those ribs. Round ends in a wide Adelaide Kane win and Tatiana is moving with pain back to her pool.

R6: Tatiana strikes back! Fast attack in the opening seconds has Adelaide being driven back towards the ropes. Furious exchange as Addie seeks to avoid being pushed into the strands. In the second minute Adelaide slams a powerful right into Tatiana’s ribs and the Canadian fighter shudders, frozen in pain. Then Addie unleashes a fast series of lefts and rights to Tatiana’s jaw and rips uppercuts left and right into her chin. Tatiana’s knees buckle and she sinks down to the canvas as Adelaide falls back to neutral corner, Tatiana hurt, but courageous as she staggers to her feet and declares she can go on. Adelaide moves in with relentless pressure, battering down Tatiana’s defenses, driving her to the ropes where the Canadian is just worked over from waist to head and her gloves seem frozen just under her breasts. When Adelaide starts pumping uppercuts into Tati’s chin, her head is bounced around alarmingly. The Canadian legs are holding her up even as her eyes glaze over! AND THE REFEREE JUMPS IN! Official cradles the helpless Tatiana to safety as a weary, but triumphant Adelaide Kane savors her victory,
The Winner: Adelaide Kane (TKO6)

After: Close fight much of the way, but Adelaide Kane able to inflict more damage on Tatiana Maslany in force a stoppage. Addie surprisingly gracious towards her defeated opponent going over and assuring the heartbroken Tatiana that she doesn’t think she’s a quitter. Tatiana still very downcast as she yearns for her first win. Adelaide bright and cheerful—two wins in a row.

What’s next? “Oh, I still want a rematch with Sasha Pieterse—she’s made things miserable for me with the Pretty Little Punchers since she beat me the first time. I want to reverse that.”
With Ms, Pieterse also on tonight’s card, it seems reasonable to suspect that there will be at least one person watching that fight with a very special interest
