SASHA PIETERSE (PRETTY LITTLE PUNCHERS) VS DANIELLE PANABAKER (UNMANAGED)

Writing: Archer   Results: Lookout

“I have always kept a close eye on girls that might be my future competition when I finally came to the FCBA, but I never thought of Panabaker as one if them” Sasha Pieterse said in a typical snarky pre-fight comment. “Yet here, I am fighting her, it just goes to show you can’t plan for everything. But I like to think of myself a flexible. I will adapt to Danielle and she’ll be another win on my record.”

Danielle Panabaker pretends to yawn at these comments and says when it’s her turn: “Well, I am just SO sorry that Sasha what’s-her-name was surprised to find me in this fed. Imagine how surprised I was find to find myself fighting some kid with more attitude than experience. I feel I have earned my place in this federation by developing by quietly developing my boxing skills and making myself ready for success once I did arrive. Some people (she looks scornfully as Sasha) just get in because of some flash-in-the-pan success. I ask: in five years will anyone know who Sasha Pieterse is?”

Sasha rises from her seat, her face flushed red and her hands clenched with youthful fury, but she forces herself to just smile and said: “I promise you, Danielle, you’ll remember me as the girl who derailed your so-called boxing career!”

Danielle smiles back nastily: “Don’t count on, sweetie. You’re the one whose career is headed for the ditches.”

Pre-fight full of snarky, tense moments like this, and things don’t die down when Sasha’s Pretty Little Puncher stablemate Adelaide Kane scores ahead of Sasha own bout. Adelaide showers and dresses in record time to be in the PLL seats at ringside. Sasha scowls when passing her on the way to the ring.

Sasha has chosen a purple bikini with frilly white trim and white gloves with white boxing boots and purple laces. Hair in a simple pigtail with purple bow on the end. Danielle has chosen a bright red bikini, with matching gloves and boots (white laces), hair in battle braid down her back. The two eye each other coldly through the instructions. Tension unspoken, but very clear as Dani and Sasha go to their respective corners to await the bell.

R1:  Bell rings and the two young fighters charge at each other and the leather starts flying. Not much evidence of defense as Dani and Sasha lash away. Initial fury seems to die down, but has left both with reddened marks on faces and bodies. Nice to see some effort at jab-and-probe tactics rather than haymakers from all directions, but then Sasha can’t resist fighting her way in once she drives some solid hooks to Dani’s tummy.  Danielle’s breasts and face get knocked around too, but Dani pulls back in relatively good order behind her covering jab to make Sasha suffer for her aggression, Still, it’s Sasha who edges out the win on the cards for the opening round.

R2: Danielle ups her tempo really trying to wear the younger Sasha down with comprehensive body swabbing from waist to breasts. Sasha struggling against this onslaught gets her own jab going an splits Danielle’s lower lip with a quick jab that slides in over Danielle’s protective guard. But Dani’s eyes narrow and she starts punching away at Sasha’s head. The blonde blocks most of this, but then Dani loops right in and smashes one just over Sssha’s left eye and blood spurts from an eyebrow cut. Sasha pulls back in shock, takes some strong hooks to the belly to tip her forward, exposing her face and Dani rams a left into right eye. Sasha staggered, but remains on her feet, though eye is rapidly swelling. Dani pursues and Sasha fights back with stubborn courage, banging her older opponent with hard shots to the body. Round ends close, but Danielle awarded the stanza.

R3: Battle rages between the two young fighters from the opening bell. First, Sasha attacks, trying to drive Danielle back against the ropes, but then she is stalled by Panabaker’s accurate, slicing jabs that have that cut over the blonde’s left eye leaking again. Danielle drives Sasha back towards the ropes, but Sasha fights hard to keep clear of the stands. Finally Sasha cranks Danielle’s head around with a strong left to the jaw and she slips away to midring. Danielle shakes off the jaw shot and engages the blonde in another fiery exchange that has the crowd on its collective feet. Danielle pumps rapid series of lefts and rights into Pieterse tummy until the blonde falls back looking winded. Closing moments is another fierce punching flurry that Danielle seemingly wins with an uppercut clip on the chin that turns Sasha’s legs to rubber, though she is saved by the bell. Dazed blonde clings to ropes for a few moments before a slow, shaky return to her stool.

R4: Danielle on the hunt for Sasha, but the blonde surprises her with strong attack of her own in the opening minute. Danielle gets her melons mauled before Sasha drops lower to bang belly and then return for some shots at Danielle’s head. Gloves bouncing off her head are not good for Danielle’s concentration and she seems disorganized as Sasha tries to punch her way in close. Danielle rallies with some more hooks to Sasha’s stomach to make her hunch over protectively and then bangs the blonde’s temples around when she’s unable to get at her jaw or chin. Sasha finally gets her head moving to evade Danielle’s punches and puts some solid hooks of her own into Panabaker’s midsection. Danielle falls back, but Sasha is slow to follow and round ends on a quietly defensive note. Sasha Pieterse given the round by a narrow margin.

R5: Sasha out aggressively again at the opening bell, but Danielle again meeting the challenge. Two bob and weave around each other looking to land a solid punch, sending out licking probes in the meantime. Then Danielle feints right and draws Sasha’s attention and she lands a strong left to the blonde’s cheek. Sasha’s clearly hurt by this one and she hastily pulls back. Danielle keeps the pressure on, but Sasha mounts a strong defensive effort trying to keep her rival at bay. This works until late in the round, when Danielle able to force her way in with hooks to the blonde’s stomach that lower her guard and Panabaker rings up Sasha’s chin. Sasha again retreats out of danger, but allows the ring to go to Danielle by a wide margin.

R6: Danielle mounts still more pressure, but Sasha’s mind seems to have cleared and she fights a strong defensive effort most of the way. However, in the middle minute, Danielle feasts on Sasha’s midsection which is now mottled with red bruising and the blonde has to clinch to buy herself some time. Late in the round, Sasha does manage to put on a nice flurry that forces Danielle back with a cruel pounding of Panabaker’s bra cups. Crowd likes it and cheers Sasha on, but Danielle finally forces Sasha back with that slicing jab and one of those jabs has Sasha’s left eye swelling as the round ends. Danielle takes another round, but by a close margin.

R7: Sasha pulls herself together and bangs her way in close to Danielle, trying to find her chin, but settling for a solid scrubbing of Panabaker body. Danielle doesn’t look comfortable about this, especially when her much-pounded breasts come in for some additional punching. However she remains focused and as the clock enters the second minute she goes to Sasha’s tummy with her hardest hooking yet and Sasha groans with the pain. The blonde’s gloves also drop down to protect the badly bruised belly and Danielle drives a straight right into Sasha’s swollen left eye. The impact freezes Sasha Pieterse and Danielle just SMASHES a right cross off the blonde’s jaw. DOWN GOES SASHA PIETERSE! Blonde lands in a heap, head down dripping blood and both arms wrapped around her ravaged middle.  The referee is counting and the crowd joins in at “SIX… SEVEN…EIGHT…” But then Sasha makes a great effort and stands up. That eye is nearly swollen shut, but Sasha insists she can go on. Danielle Panabaker moves in to mop up, but Sasha shows good defensive footwork in backing out of there and using her jab to keep Danielle away to the bell. Knockdown gives the round to Danielle, but Sasha grits her teeth and marches to her stool as though nothing had happened.

R8: Frantic work by the PLP corner has that left eye cleaned and not looking quite so bad, but it’s going to a beaut of a shiner. Sasha puts all her remaining energy into a punching firestorm that has Danielle under heavy fire for two solid minutes. Danielle really worked over to the body as her breasts and belly take the brunt of Pieterse leather. She’s not fighting back much, just jabbing sufficiently to make Sasha’s bruises get banged again and make the blonde pay for her stubborn aggression. Then, Sasha’s punching seems to falter and BACK COMES DANIELLE. Danielle unexpectedly explodes with more shots to the blonde’s heavily shelled belly to stun her and then as Sasha’s guard comes apart she does a speed-bag number on Sasha’s chin, banging it from side to side and up and down in a blur of high speed leather. SASHA CRUMBLES! Like a building implosion, the blonde just sinks straight down to her ankles and then topples over onto her back, legs stiffen out and her arms fall to her side. Her chest heaves and her eyelids flutter, but as the count rises, the crowd chimes in again and this time it reaches “NINE…TEN…YOU’RE OUT!”
Danielle Panabaker’s arm raised in victory as PLP attendants hurry to get a semi-conscious Sasha Pieterse back to her stool for revival.
The Winner: Danielle Panabaker KO8

After: “This was a close fight,” Danielle Panabaker admits in post-fight comments. “Honestly, I think it could have gone either way, but once I hurt her, I knew I could just grind her down. She was trying to grind me down, of course, but I was the tougher fighter and so I was the one left standing.”

Young Sasha bursts into tears when she wakes up to find Adelaide Kane in the ring and leaning over to whisper the bad news of her loss. Sasha not appreciating her stable rival doing this and  shoves her away. Addie goes down, but is up looking angry. Head Trainer Nia Peeples restores order and escorts the distraught Sasha from the ring. Stony silence from Ms, Pieterse in the days after, but Adelaide Kane heard to tell friends: “Poor kid, she just wasn’t as good as she thought she was. No wonder she was crying.” Word must have gotten back to Sasha as reports soon of a locker room catfight between the two with results a matter of intense social media speculation as to the winner.

“We never comment on things like that.” Says PLP spokesperson Autumn Reeser, “but I think you can understand Sasha taking this loss r hard and Addie  may said the wrong thing to her.  However, they have now settled the matter and management considers it over. That is all we'll have to say."
Things much happier over in the Panabaker camp with extensive partying to celebrate the big win. Press full of photos of the smiling Danielle which must be a dagger in heart of Sasha Pieterse.
