Celebrity Boxing After Dark

Before: British singer Alesha Dixon continues her swing through the USA and now finds herself in with 29 year-old American soap actress (“General Hospital”) Kelly Thiebaud. The 36 year-old Alesha seems unconcerned at the 20 year-old Kelly’s 5’9 to 5’6 ½ height advantage.

“Size doesn’t matter, especially against someone of limited boxing experience like Kelly. I beat Shelley Hennig and she brought out the yellow in Thiebaud—I hear she made her quit because she was bleeding a little. Clearly, this bird has no heart once you hurt her and hurting opponents is my specialty,” Alesha assured C-BAD fans.

The brown hair, hazel-eyed Ms. Thiebaud is not pleased to have the now-infamous TKO in her private VIP-only fight with Shelley Hennig brought up once more: “I have said it before and I’ll say it again: I didn’t want that fight to be stopped. Yes, I had a bloody nose, but I was more than ready to continue. Ref’s in soap boxing are too quick to stop a fight these days. I mean, back in the 1970’s or 1980’s, they let a Susan Lucci or Genie Francis or Deidra Hall keep going so as long as they could still stand. I am sorry I am fighting in a time where the traditions of soap boxing have mostly been forgotten, but that’s the way it is. I still want a rematch with Hennig and I think if I can beat the Brit who beat her—they’ll have to give it to me. Plus this is my FCBA debut and I know there aren’t many current daytime actresses who can say they’ve had an FCBA-sanctioned fight. This is a great chance for me to prove I belong in mainstream of celebrity boxing. I’m not going to mess that up!”

Kelly in sky blue bikini squaring off in the ring vs Alesha in a black bikini with gold trim. Blue gloves for Kelly, gold for Alesha. Both have their hair pulled back into tight battle braids. Kelly does her best to intimidate Alesha during instructions by getting close to emphasize height differential. Alesha coolly standing her ground and looking the American in the eye.

R1: Lanky American come out looking to circle around British singer to search out openings, but veteran Alesha counters this with some nice footwork of her own, then starts firing punches into Kelly’s body. Kelly looks unpleasantly surprised at the force of the smaller woman’s leather, but she pulls back in good order and gets a decent jab going to keep Alesha from overwhelming her. Alesha content to keep up the pressure working Kelly’s body—mainly that taut tummy and flanks. Kelly tries to move forward, but gets pasted on the chin for her trouble and again has to pull back. Alesha pretty much dominates to the bell, she’s made Kelly achy, but more frustrated than hurt at this point.

R2: Kelly comes charging out, apparently determined to take the offensive, but she walks right into a Alesha Dixon leather storm. The more Kelly tries to force her way in to bang Alesha’s chocolate body, the more her body is banged up and red splotches (sure be big bruises before long) start splotching it. Alesha brings the charge to a halt and then goes after Kelly’s head with her own counterattack. Kelly’s cheekbones pounded and then a straight right leaves her nose leaking, Alesha smirking as a dismayed Kelly looks at the scarlet dripping down her chin and then plants a nice hook into Kelly’s unguarded belly to double her up in surprise. Alesha bangs some punches into the retreating Kelly’s head, but the American stays on her feet and manages to recover behind her jab, but another round goes to Alesha Dixon.

R3: Kelly’s bloody nose repaired during the break, but she’s looking much the worse for wear. Alesha looking confident she’s got the younger woman where she wants and goes on the attack early. Kelly takes more shelling to her midsection and flanks, but she’s moving better and starting to land punches on the British veteran, smacking Alesha’s head around with some quick licking crosses and hooks. Alesha scowling at this resistance and starts trying to put heavier into Kelly’s gut, but now she’s getting hit to the head and face when she does it. Alesha and Kelly fighting toe to toe and Kelly’s longer reach is scoring good hits. Alesha’s face lumping up along her jawline and her breasts are taking some nasty punches that have her glaring indignantly at Kelly. Kelly smacked by a Dixon uppercut to the chin, knocked back, but shakes it off and catches Alesha a smashing right to the jaw. Alesha staggered, but comes back with a straight right to the mouth that rocks Kelly. Two fighters stand there for a second, both dazed, then lunge for each other just as the bell rings! Punches bang to the each other’s belly’s and both stumble back doubled over as referee steps in to make sure there is no more late action. Both fighters shaky getting back to their corners, but Kelly Thiebaud wins her first round by a narrow margin.

R4: Both fighters slumped on their stools as cornerpersons try to revive them in time for the next round. Bell sounds and Alesha Dixon is quicker off her stool. Kelly’s midsection takes another bombardment of Dixon leather and she starting to shudder with each fresh impact. Kelly has to pull back to recover and Alesha circles in, now banging away at Kelly’s head with bouncing punches, Kelly hunches down and fires up into Alesha’s breastline. Alesha’s tits rudely banged around and Alesha is brought to a gasping halt. Kelly then tries to force her way in, looking to land on Alesha’s, but Alesha now the one ducking and Kelly’s shots either glancing blows or complete misses. Alesha then hooks to Kelly’s belly in counters that make Kelly again back off. Alesha and Kelly then fall into a circling battle of punches, Alesha keeps her head and upper body moving to negate much of Kelly’s lanky, reaching punches, then battering the brunette to the belly and chest. Crowd loves the close-in action that rages to the bell. Alesha emerges the narrow victress on the cards.

R5: Late action of R4 continues with the same circling exchange of punches. Alesha still making Kelly pay to the body (which is becoming a mass of overlapping darkening splotches), but Kelly moving her feet better and slowly finding opening to push in her own leather to bang Alesha’s head back. Alesha’s hairline cut re-opened a dripping blood down across her face. Alesha then takes a Kelly right off the jaw and she now pulls back looking dazed by the blow. Kelly follows up, but Alesha’s jab forces her back when a lucky punch bangs off the Thiebaud nose drawing a gasp from Kelly and a fresh stream of blood. Kelly gritting her mouthpiece to endure the pain, forces herself forward, this time landing some surprise hooks into Alesha’s chocolatey belly that make the British singer gasp for air. Two fighters now both fall back for a breather and then go at each other to the bell. Exchanges seem slower, requiring more effort, as fatigue seems to be catching up the fighters, but will to win still strong as they battle. Kelly takes the round by a close margin on the cards.

R6: Kelly Thiebaud shows her athleticism by being the first to recover from previous round and taking the offensive on a tired-looking Alesha Dixon. Kelly puts on the pressure with a direct attack on Alesha driving her slowly back to the ropes, Alesha jabbing desperately, trying to keep the younger, taller woman off her, but Kelly taking the punches to ravage Alesha’s gut and force her guard down so she can blast away the British veteran’s jaw and chin. Alesha taking a lot of damage from these punches, but her strong brown legs are keeping her up. Kelly finally has Alesha up against the ropes, but Alesha able to clinch repeatedly to buy herself some breathing room. Alesha makes it to the bell, but the round goes wide to Kelly.

R7: Kelly looking confident after that last round pasting of Alesha, but the British veteran is not finished. As Kelly comes forward, she gets a vicious hook to the belly and a right uppercut to the chin. Kelly all hunched over, trying to find air for her lungs and her arms wrapped around her middle. Alesha moves to follow up by trying to bang Kelly’s head again, but Kelly recovers faster than Alesha had expected and she is wide open when an uppercut comes blazing upwards into her chin. Alesha’s head knocked back in a spray of sweat and she totters backwards. Kelly heaves another uppercut as she forces herself to stand despite her agonized abs. This uppercut catches Alesha flush and she topples backwards, arms flung out like a felled tree. Alesha lands with a thundering crash and she even bounces slightly as arms and legs splay out in a starfish. Kelly wearily heads for neutral corner and watches the count. Alesha’s head moving from side to side, but it’s clear she’s done for tonight. Sure enough the count reaches 10 and its all over.

The Winner: Kelly Thiebaud (KO7)

After: Kelly’s badly bruised body forgotten as she mounts the ring ropes to raise her arms in victory as the C-BAD crowd cheers for her. Then she catches sight of Alesha being revived on her stool and rushes over to drag the sleepy-eyed Alesha on a stumbling walk of shame.

“This is so great!” Kelly tells press afterwards. “Alesha gave me one tough fight but that helped me prove just how tough a fighter I am! Bring me Shelley Hennig! This time she won’t get away from me! From there, I’ll be looking for anyone willing to fight me! Soap Boxing Lives! I am the proof of that!”

As for Alesha she is not pleased at the defeat (or the walk of shame), but shrugs it off: “It wasn’t my night. I know I was breaking her to the body, I just ran out of time to do it. Who is next? I couldn’t tell you, but I am not ready to go home. I am no quitter. I am going to succeed you can bet on it!”

Exciting, hard-fought debut win for the “General Hospital” actress., Kelly Thiebaud should get some attention from promoters looking for fresh faces. Another disappointing loss for Alesha Dixon, but the British girl seems undiscouraged and determined to succeed in Stateside action
