Before: Every once in a while, a fighter will improve with age--certainly seems the case with Scoggins who appears harder, fitter, lighter than in her prime. Spirited pre-fight sessions, with Tracy doing most of the talking, Theron graciously acknowledging her opponent’s chances--10 years ago. Scoggins in red aerobics two piece, Spanish ponytail, Theron in white aerobics two piece.

During R1: Both girls have the same idea, circle left, work off the jab, Tracy does it better to outbox Charlize in a tactical first.

R2: Charlize turns the tables, doubling up on the jab, hooking hard to turn Scoggins’ head to the side throughout most of the round. In the final minute, Scoggins scores a spanking one-two straight u the middle to stun Charlize, and Scoggins has a good finish, punishing the champ against the ropes with wide lefts and rights--round goes a draw.

R3: Back on their toes, once again, Tracy seems a little quicker, stabbing Charlize face with the jab, and leaning back to make Theron miss. Charlize waiting for her turn instead of jabbing with Scoggins, begins to follow the brunette around the ring, allowing Tracy to drop in that right hand from outside.

R4: Tracy boxing beautifully, has Charlize under control, steering the jab, walking her into straight right hands, finishing combinations with left hooks to the jaw or ribcage. Theron seems unfazed, although her face begins to glow with a painful gloss, but she continues to step forward, bring the fight to Scoggins, who most had expected to be he aggressor.

R5: Theron turns slugger, backing Tracy o the ropes with a chopping right hand over the brunette’s jab, then squaring up for a dominating round of shove-and-slug on the ropes, Scoggins laying in, covering up, bouncing off the ropes to put her shoulder against Charlize, then dipping back off to try to make the blonde miss. Charlize does miss a lot, but the pressure is constant, and in the final minute, it pays off, Theron digs a harmful one-two to Tracy’s rock abs, bringing the brunette’s hands down with a grunt. Theron sing her forearm to push up, snaps off chopping lefts and rights inside, bashing Scoggins’ beautiful face side to side, and Tracy begins to wilt. Clubbing, meanspirited combinations flow to the bell as Scoggins takes a beating--Charlize bodying up at the break to make groggy Tract feel the weight.

R6: Tracy well outside now, fending Charlize off with the sharp pain, playing Oscar to Theron’s Tito, Charlize having trouble, cutting off the ring, chases the brunette, takes jabs, and lets Scoggins flurry and get out. Weird reversal of roles continues as Tracy continues to out-box Charlize, while Theron lands all the bombs.

R7: Tracy chewing up Charlize with the sticking, pounding left. Theron’s left eye begins to droop as Scoggins bangs away at it, and Tracy begins to hunt for Charlize’s solar plexus with straight rights. In the final minute, both girls score simultaneous left hooks, right hands, and Tracy’s knees buckle, nearly touching down, then she staggers away, glassy eyed. Charlize walks her down, gives Tracy a shoulder in the chest to put her on the ropes, then wades in with the crunching lefts and rights--these blows are short, chopping gin and down onto Scoggins’ face as she looks helpless at the bell, Scoggins hurt, looking shell-shocked, Theron with a closed eye, puffy faced--attrition starting to be a factor.

R8: Tracy continues to win rounds with her legs, jab, She circles, peckign away at Charlize, stepping in only occasionally to whip a right hand to the body or jaw, then taking a walk into open space to re-set, Charlize not getting off, isn’t throwing enough t win these tactical rounds.

R9: Theron times her opponent beautifully, dropping the right as Tracy jabs, to stun the brunette at the open, Scoggins nearly going down, straightens but she’s hurt, and a banging wide one two spins her sideways, off balance. Theron bodying up, stuffs Tracy into a corner, gives her shoulder, then pulls out to work her over. All Theron as she grimly sets about the task of taking Tracy Scoggins apart. Tracy leaning forward, butt on the turnbuckles, gloves at her cheeks, takes withering swipes across her tummy, jarring right hands around her gloves on the jaw. Scoggins often clinching, or pushing Charlize back, but Theron re-set, wads back in as the ref keeps a close watch. In the final minute, Tracy looks helpless, arms limp in front of her, easy to pull or punch out of the way, and Charlize lets her hands go, swarming Scoggins with heavy, free-swinging lefts and rights, At the bell, Charlize steps back from her opponent in wonder, as Tracy, eyes closed, mouth open, refuses to go down.

R10: All Charlize Theron as Tracy seems physically, if not emotionally broken. Scoggins legs are shot, and she shuffles around Charlize, as the blonde reaches with the left, leans in with short right hands to bash against Tracy’s teeth or forehead. Scoggins legs tremble throughout the round as Charlize pecks away, but Theron very patient, content to work outside, potshot with heavy right hands, and go the distance. Final round is a shutout for Charlize, and the final tally makes this fight a draw: Theron retains her titles.

After: Interesting fight tactically, as each girl looked to surprise the other with change-up. Theron slugging consistently, relied on power, while Scoggins used her athleticism and skill to take points with ring generalship,. Scored ion the street, Theron wins hands down, but Tracy makes it interesting in the ring with a savvy, gutsy effort.
