Before: Been a long time since anyone’s gotten into Lucy’s face and talked as tough as Jaime does for this fight. Pundits buying some of the hype--Pressly the hardest hitting fly beside Liu herself, and better balanced when she punches--dancer could have the recipe to finally engineer the upset of the long-time champ. Liu unconcerned, but the constant blonde needling has her ruffled at times--by the end of the prefight, Lucy is promising a beating for the brash challenger. Liu in black push up, leopard print boy cut swim trunks, ponytail--Jaime in light blue bandeau thong bikini, ruffled atop the cups, long slick ponytail.

R1: Liu laying down the law early and often, nailing Jaime with a short right, slipping the blonde’s left, coming back with a slinging left on the lips, clapping a final right hand on the face as Jaime backpedals/ Pressly on her heels, can’t find the Asian--Liu maddeningly close, but swaying in and out, timing her punches exquisitely to make constant contact with the blonde’s face in a kinetic first.

R2: Liu stepping back, crouched low as Jaime swishes over the top--Liu leaps up into a crazy left uppercut from the knees and DOWN GOES JAIME! Slipping half a dozen punches, Lucy nails Pressly a perfectly extended uppercut and Jaime is a-soon! Pressly’s wiry gams trembling, eyes glassy and Lucy turns huntress. Hands low, Lucy turns southpaw to touch her right mitt into Jaime’s belly then straighten to launch a straight left hand through the guard--PRESSLY GOES DOWN! Jaime on her butt, stunned, busted open, beats the count at the ropes and covers up all but ruined. Liu stalking in again, eyes blazing as she twitches a left hook into the blonde’s side, jumps to the right and hammers the left through the mitts to buff face. Jaime well out over her face and Liu rips the right uppercut from beside the blonde, reaching underneath to the stomach, then chopping the left hand straight into the ear from the oblique angle--JAIME GOES DOWN! Pressly with one arm over the bottom rope. Struggles to get to her feet again as Lucy is all smiles. Liu swarming in the final minute, hands at her side, daring Jaime to punch and lifting brutal counters into the body or face whenever Pressly’s mitts leave her face. At the bell. a vicious right/left/right/left from the hips explodes across Jaime’s sleepy face--blonde wobbles to her knees for the fourth time in the round as Liu lifts her mitts in triumph. Pressly makes it to her stool to survive the round--but she is a battered wreck Liu can’t wait to finish.

R3: Lucy in Pressly’s face, hands down, taunting--Jaime poking out the jab, keeping the right at her eyebrow as her legs lock stiffly underneath her, Liu snaking in and out on wide spread legs--hoisting left uppercut to the midriff breaks Jaime down, Liu turning over the left to a clipping hook on the ye an Pressly crumbles to the ropes. Desperate war along the ropes breaks out, Pressly nailing the leaping, lunging Liu with slapping shots straight from the shoulder, but down the stretch, Lucy can’t be denied. Liu slipping low under a Pressly right, pressed her face into Jaime’s stomach as the blonde misses over the top, then bends her little body into a crushing straight arm left on the face that has Jaime out on her feet. Pressly sitting down on the ropes, eyes closed--Lucy turns her shoulder into a murderous short right hand on the face, clips a short left hook to the face and the ref finally steps in. TKO3. Lucy Liu leaves Jaime Pressly battered beyond recognition.

After: Liu baffling HBO execs and boxing insiders alike, taking yet another serious challenger and turning her into hamburger on national TV. Magazine articles proliferate: “5 Girls Who Could Beat Lucy Liu Right Now”, “Recipe for Beating Liu” etc, but bottom line--the girl is untouchable right now, using other women merely showcase hrr alien style and freakish small girl punching power.
