BEFORE:

"I'm finally getting an FCBA fight," says the girl in the naughty nurse costume complete with mask. "It's about time, because there are a lot of girls around here I can beat. Might as well get started right now."

"She's full of herself, no question," says the girl in the sexy tiger outfit, also complete with mask. "It's about time someone beat some of that out of her. And I'm just the girl to do it."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Rainy Day' you hear, and I'm guessing that's a pretty good clue as to who's coming down here dressed as the naughty nurse..."

McCarthy: "Well, if it's whoever's singing this, she needs to keep her day job..."

O'Dell: "Into the ring she climbs, helped off with the costume, and that's the lovely Janel Parrish of 'Pretty Little Liars', sporting a lovely medium blue two-piece for her FCBA debut..."

Cassie: "And that's 'Wanna Say' and I think we have ourselves another battle between PLP and Vampy D!"

McCarthy: "Oh, that's right. That screeching sound coming out of the speakers is that talentless Dancing Hooker Kat Graham pretending to sing..."

O'Dell: "It is, indeed, 'The Liberian Lynx', Kat Graham, and she's getting quite the crowd reaction in that revealing tiger outfit. Into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal a yellow bikini that gets an even BIGGER reaction..."

McCarthy: "Apparently there are a lot of people who don't see well here in Philly..."

O'Dell(sighing): "We're about ready to go. Time to get some picks. Tess?"

Tess: "You have to go with Graham here. Not only is she athletic and quick, Parrish hasn't ever been in an FCBA ring before."

O'Dell: "Mac?"

McCarthy: "Graham. But ONLY because Parrish is making her debut."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess."

O'Dell: "And here we go, and no surprise what we're seeing in the early going, a lot of educated feet. We've got a pair of athletic dancers here, and you're seeing all that athleticism on display, as both girls circle and bounce, snapping out jabs..."

Cassie: "Those are some quick hands you're seeing. Look at the girls picking off one another's punches. Watch Graham's head, snapping away from Parrish's leather."

O'Dell: "Both girls busy with the left hands. Neither one finding a lot of the other, though. Lots of movement in this feeling out process, but not a lot of leather landing."

McCarthy: "Neither fighter really planting the feet, either. It's all stick and move stuff right now. Makes for something pretty to watch, anyway."

O'Dell: "Pretty, it is, no doubt about that. Look at the heads and shoulders moving, Graham with a little shimmy before she pops out a jab. Parish using a jab step and then a back slide step. All the footwork is precise and excellent, and neither woman slows right to the bell. Good, even round, but Parrish got a bit more done."

Tess: "And gets the early 10-9 lead. Never a bad thing to win your first FCBA round."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round underway now and the war of movement continues, with a lot of movement and only occasional fire. Graham getting off more than Janel, but both of these flys showing all the athleticism you'd expect out of dancers, and all the quickness, too."

McCarthy: "Neither one committing on anything, though. Lot of punches being snapped out, but nobody's doing any planting."

O'Dell: "Right you are, Mac. Both fighters staying in constant motion. In some fights, you'd figure this couldn't last, but you're talking about two athletic young flys who are in superb shape. They might just be able to go ten doing this..."

Cassie: "I don't doubt it in either case. I know what kind of shape Graham's in, and I think Parrish might be right there with her, at least from what we're seeing so far."

O'Dell: "One tipoff is that neither slows as the round nears its close, and as you can see, neither is doing so. Both women still moving and sticking, bouncin' and misbehavin' right to the bell. Again, not a ton of leather landing, but Graham did the majority of the scoring for sure."

Tess: "And that evens this thing at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "We start the third with a little more of that commitment Mac was talking about from Graham. Kat moving, circling, then stepping to for a flurry before circling away. Graham then back on her bicycle, snapping out the left jab, then popping forward again to score with a combination."

Cassie: "Kat so quick, she's getting off three or five punches, forcing Janel to cover up, and then she's gone before Parrish can counter."

O'Dell: "This is good stuff from Kat, all fluid movement, keeping Janel moving, making her work to find, then, when she creates an opening with the feet, she strikes like a snake. It's pretty to watch, unless you're in Parish's corner..."

McCarthy: "I wouldn't be enjoying watching it much if I were PARISH, either..."

O'Dell: "Good point, and that's what Janel's doing a lot of right now, watching. She's trying to get the timing down, trying to get some offense going, but she can't do it. Graham not pushing anything. Staying in rhythm, seizing any opening she can find, and, when it's not there, willing to dance and jab. Down the stretch and another nice combination from Graham. Backed Parrish up a step. And there's the bell. Strong round for Kat."

Tess: "Who now leads 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth begins with more Kat Graham. The Liberian Lynx getting more and more aggressive now. She's in rhythm and she's got Parrish confused and late on everything. Kat's here and then she's there. She's bouncing around then popping into punching position, getting off a flurry and getting gone."

Cassie: "Parrish just reacting now. Graham's got her on her back foot in a big way."

O'Dell: "Again, Kat not pushing. Not forcing anything. Just movin' and groovin'. Parrish almost flat-footed now. Not sure where to go or what to do. Kind of just standing there waiting for Graham to stop."

McCarthy: "It's like waiting for a fly to land so you can swat it, except Graham doesn't look to be landing any time soon."

O'Dell: "She does not. Kat all constant motion. Circling, reversing, circling again. Parrish jabbing to try to find, but mostly coming up with air. Graham a nice flurry there, ducks a right hand, digs to the belly, and then circles away. Parrish frustrated and flummoxed as Kat controls things bell to bell. That's the fourth, and it's all Kat Graham."

Tess: "And Kat's got a little cushion now, 39-37."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins with Graham again circling and snapping jabs. Parrish getting the guard up now, rotating with and jabbing..."

McCarthy: "This might not be a bad idea for Parrish. Turn with her, try to time it and get your offense off."

O'Dell: "That's clearly Janel's thinking. Kat pot shotting with the left, throwing the odd right, not really coming forward to attack now that Parrish is in that hight guard. Janel looking for openings, jabbing to try to set up right hands."

Cassie: "Parrish not finding the target much, but neither is Kat. Graham busier, but most of her stuff is being picked off."

O'Dell: "Sure is, Cassandra Lynn. This is excellent defensive stuff from Parrish. Janel picking spots well, staying behind those gloves most of the time, almost fighting counter here, but it's not quite that. It's more being deliberate, throwing only when she's got exactly what she wants, and, as we go down the stretch, Janel remaining patient, while Kat continues to bounce and misbehave. There's the bell. Close, but Parrish more effective."

Tess: "And that makes it 48-47 at the halfway point."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth round begins with more dancing from Graham. Kat using shuffle steps, reverse pivots, trying to open Parrish up, but Janel not having any. She's behind that high guard, not giving Kat a target, waiting for her opportunities, then striking quickly before Graham can get out of dodge."

Cassie: "Kat looking a little frustrated right now. She's not getting anything through, and as the round goes on, she's throwing less and less."

O'Dell: "Maybe trying to be too fine right now. Looking for openings that aren't there. Just snapping jabs and circling while she waits. Parrish getting a bit more aggressive, timing, stepping to quickly and getting off, then getting the guard right back up..."

McCarthy: "Graham needs to get aggressive here. When she was bouncing forward and setting, she was winning the exchanges. She's trying to be way too slick and it's not working."

O'Dell: "Definitely is not, and Parrish building confidence by the second. She's putting the pedal down just a bit more, taking the odd chance to score, and it's working for her. Coming to the bell now, and there it is, and that round was ALL Janel Parrish!"

Tess: "And we're even at 57 through six. This already ranks as a surprise."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Seventh underway and Kat now circling wide, out of Parrish's range, daring Janel to come forward. Parrish keeping that guard up working in and getting NAILED with a lightning quick combination and stopped cold. Graham circles away and waits again...gestures Parrish forward with the glove!"

McCarthy: "I'd like to SMACK her myself!"

O'Dell: "Kat clowning, bopping side to side. Parrish closes and gets NAILED again. Graham bouncing away with a smile. Parrish a little shaken by that last flurry. And Graham back to the circle and pot shot. Parrish keeping that guard up, looking to cut the ring, jab step forward and she gets BLASTED again!"

Cassie: "Kat is officially ALL in this girl's head..."

O'Dell: "Parrish's corner screaming at her to set up and hold ground. Janel doing that now and Graham bouncing around just out of reach, not going to close. Wants to bait Parrish forward. Janel not biting now. Staying where she is and BECKONING GRAHAM FORWARD! Kat just shakes her head and DOES THE ALI SHUFFLE! Parrish steps in and gets DRILLED! Graham dances away smiling and there's the bell!"

Tess: "Wow..."

Cassie: "The momentum just shifted on a dime. Kat just blew her doors off..."

Tess: "And leads 67-66 with three to go."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "We begin the eighth and Graham right back on her bicycle, circling wide and Parrish backs into the ropes and puts up the guard!"

McCarthy(laughing): "I like this kid more and more. Siri, call Sceej and tell him I've got a flyweight we need to scout..."

O'Dell: "Graham a bit nonplussed here. She's yelling at Parrish to come off the ropes and fight, but Janel staying right where she is. Here I am. Come get some. Graham bounces forward and lays seige to the pocket, and Parrish using the quick hands and some great head and shoulder movement to pick off and dodge, then fire back in counter."

Cassie: "This is good stuff from both fighters here. Kat not going crazy. She's working smartly against the pocket, and Parrish doing great in counter. She's finding those openings like she did out in the center and she's scoring in them."

O'Dell: "Both girls busy. Both using plenty of movement. Graham feinting, trying to get Parrish to mistime. Janel patient. Waiting for her spots and making no mistake when she gets them. Coming down the stretch now, and both fighters getting into a pretty good rhythm. Both scoring to the bell. Another close one, but Parrish's round."

Tess: "And this thing is even at 76 with two left."

ROUND NINE:

O'Dell: "Ninth starts with Parrish going right back into the pocket. Janel back against the ropes and Graham going to work. Parrish looking awfully comfortable in there. Got to wonder if she was working on this leading up to this fight..."

Cassie: "Had to have been. This isn't a natural thing for a fighter to do, especially a flyweight."

O'Dell: "Parrish rolling the head and shoulders, keeping the guard high, picking off punches, countering well. Graham staying solid, working to set her punches up, trying to time Parrish, having some success at it. Parrish all about that counter, leading some right hands, doing everything she can to keep Graham off balance."

Tess: "Kat setting the feet on these, Mac..."

McCarthy: "No question. She's looking for something big, and that's not a bad strategy against the pocket."

O'Dell: "Looking, but not finding at the moment, at least. She's landing, but not the big punches she's looking for. Down the stretch in another of these competitive rounds we've had. There's not a lot in it as both girls work hard right to the bell. Close, but Parrish again."

Tess: "And that puts Janel up 86-85 going into the last round. This would be a huge upset, and Parrish is three minutes from pulling it."

ROUND TEN:

O'Dell: "Tenth and final underway in a very close one here at the Asylum and Graham aggressively after Parrish! Janel right back into the ropes, working from the pocket, slippin' and slidin' and countering effectively. Kat firing away now, trying to get to Parrish, but Janel successfully parrying and countering..."

Tess: "Mac, you've fought girls like Britney. You've attacked pockets before. Is this the way to do it?"

McCarthy: "Absolutely not. You can't just wing away. That's what this kind of defensive strategy is designed for. You've got to be more deliberate, work to create your openings, then score. You look to break it down with precision power."

O'Dell: "Graham emptying the magazines, but to little effect. She's not landing much and she's leaving herself open for counters. Parrish not hurting Kat, but she's touching her up, never missing a chance to score."

Cassie: "Graham trying to land the big one, Jenny, but she's not even landing many small ones."

O'Dell: "She is not. But Parrish is. We're coming down the stretch and we may well be seeing a huge upset in the making. Thirty seconds to go. Janel well ahead in this round and continuing to pile up the points. Twenty seconds. Graham firing another combination but getting mostly glove. Ten seconds..."

McCarthy: "It's over."

O'Dell: "There's the bell and it IS over, and Graham knows how this is going to go. She's walking dejectedly back to her corner. Parish running across the ring, leaping into the arms of her handlers. No doubt in her mind, either..."

Cassie: "They're getting ready to announce this decision, but, before they do, let me say this out loud. Janel Parrish, in her FCBA debut, has just taken FIVE of the last SIX rounds to beat Kat Graham. That is NOT going to play well at Front Street."

O'Dell: "Decision now being announced and it's 96-94 in favor of your winner, Janel Parrish!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Janel Parrish, and, Janel, tell the truth, did you expect to be talking to me?"

Janel: "I DID, Tess! I DID. I knew I could do this. We've been saying it in camp since we signed this fight. We were gonna give Kat Graham a trick and have ourselves a treat, and that's just what we did!"

Tess: "Obviously, a huge win for you..."

Janel: "Absolutely. This is going to put me on the map. It'll get me more fights. And, when I show even more of what I can do, maybe I can get management. I'm going a long way, Tess, and Hallowe'en, 2014 was the first step! Janel Parrish, baby! All tricks and no treats!"
